Robert O. Stoops
Robert O. Stoops, age 85, of Cabot, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005.
Survivors include his wife Irene Stoops of the home; daughter Diane Main of Sheridan; stepdaughter Ruby Griffin of Austin; five stepsons: Norman Moseley of Mayflower, Kenneth Moseley of Little Rock, Steve Moseley and Donnie Moseley of Cabot; sister Mary Helen of Little Rock; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were Friday, Dec. 30, 2005 at New Vision Pentecostal Church in Austin with Rev. Gary Graves officiating. Interment followed at Grissard Cemetery
in El Paso. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
Elsie Mae Pruitt
Elsie Mae Pruitt, 105, of Cabot died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006. Mrs. Pruitt was a Deputy County Clerk in Travis County Texas for 40 years. She was a member of the Secretaries Association in Austin, Texas and then worked in the Whitley Drug Store for 15 years. A member of Cabot United Methodist Church, she was a member of the WSCS and the JOY Class.
Mrs. Pruitt is survived by one daughter, Frances Whitley of Cabot, one stepsister, Shirley Bowman of Torrance, Calif., three grandchildren Elizabeth Flores of Houston, Texas, Suzanne Langford of Cabot and Jerry Whitley of Cabot as well as six great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Tuesday, Jan. 3rd at Cabot Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 4th at 10 a.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery
with Reverend Richard Lancaster and Reverend Scott Langford officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Ocy Pearl Bucher
Ocy Pearl Bucher, 97, died Dec. 31, 2005 at Cabot Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She became a member of Ridgeway Methodist Church in Ridgeway, Mo.
She is survived by two children; Robert L. Jones and wife Carolyn of Kansas City, Mo. and Dawnna J. Huitt of Lonoke. Her surviving sister is Arlynn Strait of Moses Lake, Wash.; two brothers, Dean Williams of Ridgeway, Mo. and Russell Williams of Gilman City, Mo. She had 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
Ocy was a union steward for the Ladies’ Garment Union for many years and always took her job very seriously. She also was affiliated with ABWA (American Business Women Association).
Ocy’s preference was cremation and Moore’s Funeral Home in Cabot, is assisting with her last wishes. There will be no services in Arkansas, and the family has requested no flowers. Deane ( White) Cloe
Deane ( White) Cloe, 63, of North Little Rock, died Dec. 24, 2005. She was co-owner of Quality Small Engine and a member of Small Engine Association of Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick W. Cloe, of North Little Rock; daughters, Christina Torres, of North Little Rock, Debi McElhanon, of Sherwood and Dyana Wilson, of Lonoke; sons, Rick Puckett, of Memphis, TN, Frederick W. Cloe, II, of Perkington, OH, and Rick Cloe, of North Little Rock; mother, Beddie White; sister, Betty Redman, both of North Little Rock; and 17 grandchildren

Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Bayou Meto Cemetery.
Clarence Normington
Clarence Normington, 83, of Cabot died Dec. 27, 2005.
Survivors include his daughter, Connie Parent; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Dec. 30 at the Arkansas National Cemetery.

Hurbert Jones
Hurbert Jones, 78, of North Little Rock, died Dec. 26, 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Marilou Jones; daughter, Joyce Marie Jones of Shirley; son, Marc Alan Jones of Little Rock; sister, Virginia Cain of Little Rock; brothers, Roy Jones of Jacksonville, FL, J.W. Jones of Bells, TN, and Bill Jones of Chico, CA; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home.

Martha Lou Faught
Martha Lou Faught, 93, of Searcy, died Dec. 26, 2005. She taught school, art and music, at four colleges and three high schools, including many years at Cabot and Searcy High School. She served many years as organist at Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy.
She is survived by a son, William D. Faught; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31 at the Searcy-McEuen Chapel with burial at White County Memorial Gardens.
Thomas R. Gunter
Thomas Robert Gunter, 66, of Little Rock, died Dec. 26, 2005. He was a carpenter and was self-employed.
He is survived by his children, James Gunter of Little Rock, Timothy Gunter of Mabelvale, Lynn Floreke of Perryville, Kelly Payne of Benton, Shannon Bridges of Lonoke, and Chris Gunter of Mabelvale; sister, Janet Humiston of Pemona, KS; and 14 grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date by Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock.
Sandy Thompson
Sandy (Goins) Thompson, 59, of Little Rock, died Dec. 24, 2005. She was employed by the United States Navy for 39 years.
She is survived by her husband, William ‘Tommy’ Thompson; brothers David Powell of Carlisle and Jimmy Powell of Conway; sister, Paula O’Cain of Lonoke; and three adopted grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Dec. 30 at Carlisle Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the North Little Rock Funeral Home.
Emmer Baldwin
Emmer Baldwin, 86, of Romance, died Dec. 26, 2005. She was a housewife and a member of Smyrna Unity Church in Romance.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Craft of Grady; daughters, Beverly Dowdy of Romance, Norma McDonald of Lonoke, and Freda Graddy of Searcy; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruby Barker of Searcy.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Hebron Cemetery.
William Pilkington
William E. “Bill” Pilkington, 60, of Virginia Beach, VA, died Dec. 23, 2005.
He owned three television stores in West Palm Beach, FL, and later moved to Canada to work for Thompson Multimedia and continued to work for them until his death.
His survivors include his sons, Chief Petty Officer Christopher Montie Pilkington of Virginia Beach, VA, and Staff Sergeant William Pilkington, II of Tampa, FL; step-daughter Melissa Brown Muckart of New Zealand; brothers, Larry Pilkington of Sheridan, Bob Pilkington, Don Pilkington, and Paul Pilkington all of Little Rock, George Pilkington of Cabot, and Pete Pilkington and Jim Pilkington of Conway; sister Betty Fortner of Hot Springs; and three grandchildren.
A Rosary was held Dec. 29 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 30 in The Cathedral of St. Andrew. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Marylake Monastery, 5151 Marylake Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
Irene Lea Altwegg
Irene Lea Rosenbalm Altwegg, 98, of North Little Rock, died Dec. 26, 2005.
She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of North Little Rock.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia J. Calnan of Rogers; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Flora Mae Whitlock, Mary Ellen Gibson, Geraldine Poe; and brother, William Poe of Cabot.
Memorial may be made to “Circle of Life” Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Organization.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Sat., Jan. 7, 2006, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.

Cheryl Brandt Prince, 59, of Magnolia, died Dec. 27, 2005. She was a member of Magnolia Christian Center.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Royce Prince of Magnolia; sons, John R. Prince of Little Rock; Brandt Daniel Prince of Tanzania, Africa; daughter, Royce Anne Henley of Houston, TX; parents, John Henry and Odene Brandt of Carlisle; brother, Edward Brandt of Batesville; sister, Barbara Kilgore of Claremont, CA; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Magnolia Christian Center. Burial was Dec. 31 at the Carlisle Cemetery.
