Johnny Lee Baggies, 63, of Little Rock, died Aug. 17, 2003.
He is survived by his mother, Celie Bowman, of Little Rock; two sons, Jerry Baggies of Lonoke and Timothy Williams; two daughters, Linda Ellisworth and Jeannette Williams of Little Rock; six brothers, Sammie James Scott, Pine Bluff, William Bowman, Flint, Mich., Willie Bowman Newport, Sylvester Bowman, George Bowman, Ernest Bowman all of Little Rock; three sisters, Deloris Howard, Bonnie Tucker, and Carolyn Walker of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 23, at New Bibleway, North Little Rock. Services entrusted to Gunn Funeral Home, Little Rock.
Edward Whaley
Edward Whaley, age 60, of Ward, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Whaley of Ward; one son, Michael Whaley of Forrest City; three daughters, Linda Arthur of Ward, Teresa McCullum of Cleburne, Texas and Kellie Powell of Cabot; five grandchildren; his mother, Louise Whaley Shephard of Ward; one brother, Pat Whaley of Ward.
Funeral was Aug. 22, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Apple Hill Cemetery

Benjamin F. Hall
Funeral services for LTC Benjamin F. Hall, 65, of Cabot, were Sunday, Aug. 24, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Promise Land Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
He was retired from the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves and was a flight instructor for Lockheed-Martin at Little Rock Air Force Base.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Richardson Hall of Cabot, formerly of Farmerville, La.; three sons, Joshua Jordan Richardson of West Monroe, La., Craig Steven Hall of Albuquerque, N.M., Benjamin Reade Hall of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Lisa Andrea Baber of Lexington, Ky., Jessica Michele Gill of Shreveport, La.; one grandson; two sisters, Emogene Dorton of Elizabethtown, Ky., Christine Hackworth of Marion, Ohio; one brother, Carroll Gene of Versailles, Ky.
Bill Acrey
Bill Acrey, age 68, of Curtis died August 24, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Acrey; two daughters, Debby Allen of Little Rock and Becky Ploeger of Corinth, Texas; five grandchildren; his mother, Celia Acrey; two brothers, Dale Acrey of Curtis and Glen Acrey of Lonoke; and one sister, Linda Ashford of Benton.
Funeral services were Aug. 27, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with interment in Rest Haven Memorial Garden.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Sylvia P. Hardin
Sylvia Pollard Hardin, 82, of Newport died Aug. 20, 2003.
She was a member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Newport.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herschel Lee Hardin of Newport; sons, Ronnie Hardin of Newport, Larry Hardin of Cabot and Trent Hardin of Searcy; a daughter, Doris Davis of Newport; brothers, Bill Pollard of Jonesboro and John Pollard of Newport; sisters, Winnie Jones of Meadow Lake and Jean Hightower of Union Hill; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Saturday at Central Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Brown’s Cemetery
at Union Hill. Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home was in charge.
Mary Mildred Helms
Mary Mildred Helms “MeMe”, 87, passed away Aug. 25, 2003. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Griggs and two husbands, Gibson Blackwood and Merle Helms. She is survived by daughter, Mary Jo (and Bob) Waters of Cabot; two sisters, Emma Lou Townsend of Macon and Evelyn Cole of Searcy; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Helms was a member of First Baptist Church for 54 years and a member of Eastern Star.
Visitation will be at Cabot Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 5-8 p.m. Services will be Thursday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Cabot with burial in Sylvania Cemetery. On-line guestbook available at cabotfuneralhome@aol.

Douglas A. Graham
Douglas Arthur Graham, 68, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed on Thursday, August 21, 2003. After a long, hard, courageous fight with cancer, Mr. Graham left this world as we know it to join the angels above. No more pain, no more suffering . As he left silently, at his side was a loving family who will miss his laughter, his smile and that on-going sense of humor until the end.
Mr. Graham was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Graham, and his first wife, Beatrice (Babs) Graham. Left to cherish his memory are: wife, Brenda Graham; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Lisa Graham; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Todd Belverstone; stepson and daughter-in-law, Clint and Amanda Holladay; seven grandchildren who will miss him deeply: Jason and wife Allison, Ryan, Andrew, Kayla, Kody, Halli, Morgan; one great-granddaughter, Emma; his mother, Maxine Graham; sister and brother-in-law, Camilla and Dewey Robinson; and many other family and friends.
Visitation was Friday, August 22, 2003 pm at the Cabot Funeral Home. Services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Rick Woodworth
Rick Woodworth, 42, of Sherwood, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003.
He was a manager at Thomason Furniture Co., a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Roxie (Bushman) Woodworth; two sons, Jason and Jordan Woodworth, all of Sherwood; mother and stepfather, Jeanette Thomason and Buzzy Duckworth; father and stepmother, James Hal and Fern Woodworth, all of North Little Rock; brother, Randy Woodworth, of Lonoke; three stepbrothers, Bobby and Dean Duckworth, both of Lonoke, and Rick Reed, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; stepsister, Sandy Williams, of Little Rock.
Funeral services were Aug. 19, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.
Frank Miller Brewer
Frank Miller Brewer, age 77, died Aug. 15, 2003.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Carlisle Lodge for 56 years. He was retired and formerly self-employed in the irrigation industry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebekah Brown-Brewer; one daughter, Cassandra Brewer-Miller of Little Rock; one son, Rodger Williams; and one granddaughter; one brother, James Elder.
Following cremation, a memorial was held Aug. 18, at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
Marvin Page
Marvin Page, 61, of Kingsland, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003.
He was an Army veteran, member of Members Hunting Club and Supervisor at Windsor Door Co.
He is survived by three sons, Steve of Morrilton, Danny of Detroit and Kevin of Little Rock; two daughters, Vicky Page of Kingsland and Sherry Rice of Little Rock; four brothers, James of Little Rock, Newell of Woodson, Lloyd of Mayflower and Melvin of Cabot; three sisters, Betty Wood, Linda Johnson and Brenda Odom, all of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Chapel Conway with burial in Harmony Cemetery.
Nellie Mae Price
Nellie Mae Price, 84, of Lonoke died Aug. 5, 2003.
She attended Christian Life Center, formerly known as South Highland United Pentecostal Church for more than 80 years. She was a resident at Golden Years Manor in Lonoke.
Survivors are a daughter, Nelda J. Stowe of Little Rock; Hilda Pennington of Lonoke; Garry Price of Kenai, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; 13-plus great-grandchildren.

A Gathering in remembrance of her was held Aug. 9, in the Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel, Little Rock. Interment was at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Jimmy Mullins
Jimmy Mullins, age 72, died July 28, 2003. He was a resident of Lincoln Plaza, Lonoke.
A former resident of Cabot, he was a fireman in Benton and at the State Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Mullins; two sons, Ronnie Mullins and Gary Mullins, both of Benton; one sister, Norma Jean Robins of Benton, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Aug. 1 at Ashby Funeral Home, Benton.
