Beva Sarah Barnes Winningham, age 96, of Austin, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003.
She was the widow of Kelless Winningham, and a member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lowell Winningham of Morrilton, and Doyce Winningham of Center Ridge; one daughter, Dr. Etta Lou Sellars of Mountain View, Mo.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 14, at Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church with burial at Union Hill Cemetery
by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Betty F. Carlisle
Betty F. Carlisle, age 60, of Cabot, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003.
She was a long time employee of Dream Line Manufacturing Company and a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church for 38 years.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Carlisle; two sons, Calvin Carlisle of Cabot and Keith Carlisle of Searcy; one daughter, Lea Ann Evans of Judsonia; five grandchildren; and one sister, Bobbie Davis of Vilonia.

Billy Mac Honey
Billy Mac Honey, age 68, of Cabot died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003.
He was retied from Vertac Chemical Company after 29 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue “Raney” Honey; children, Billy D. Honey and DJ of Newport, Glen Honey and Brenda of Cabot, Thurman Honey of Cabot, and Jetta Honey Bailey and Tim of Lonoke; brother, Bacel Honey of North Little Rock; sister, Pauline Gann of Cabot; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 14, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
in Cabot.
Mary Alma Wilhite
Mary Alma Lemons Wilhite, 78, of Sherwood, a retired secretary, stenographer and printer, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003.
Survivors are two sons, William Warren Wilhite, Cabot and James Newton Wilhite, Sherwood; two daughters, Marilyn Kreps, Little Rock and Helen Burton, Sherwood; three brothers, Thadys D. Lemons and Harold R. Lemons, Hot Springs, Jerry A. Lemons, Camden; sister, Shirley Wolden, Glendora, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Services were under the direction of Huson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Central Arkansas Library System.
Edward E. Johnston
Edward Earl Johnston, of Cabot, died Aug. 11, 2003 at the age of 78.
He was retired from Carrara Marble Co.
Survivors include his children, Paula Payton, Jill Clement, Keri Johnston and Tracey Kent; one brother, Clay Johnston; one sister, Gerri Huysman; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Johnny L. Wilson Sr.
Johnny L. Wilson Sr., 57, of Cabot died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by three sons, Jay Wilson of Cabot, Chandler Wilson and McCauley Wilson, both of Oklahoma; daughter, Jenny Wilson of Oklahoma; one grandson; four brothers, Kenneth Wilson of Cabot, Shelton Lee Wilson Jr. of Vilonia, Harold F. Wilson of Ward, James Earl Wilson of Conway ; four sisters, Nancy L. Scott of Perryville, Linda D. McKay and Carolyn Ann Graham, both of Cabot, Evelyn M. Younts of Romance.
At his request Mr. Wilson will be cremated. A memorial service was held Friday at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Arrangements by the Cremation Association of Arkansas.
Cornelia M. Humphries
Cornelia Mable Humphries, 97, of Carlisle died Aug. 4, 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Vivian Humphries of Carlisle and Priscilla Kirkpatrick of Greenbrier; five sisters and brothers, Augusta Keller of Pontiac, Ill., Odey Fix of Springfield, Ill., Grace Barrington of Springfield, Ill., Winslow Griffith of Springfield, Ill., and Lester Griffith of Springfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Hazen Cemetery.
Mamie Dilse
Mamie Dilse, 81, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 4, at First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, with burial in Naylor.
She was a Senior Companion for Lutheran Social Services and for over 20 years, she was a housemother at Grandview College both in Des Moines. She was a member of Eastern Star 449 and Senior Companions.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Tounsley of Des Moines; son, Ed Dilse of Ward; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines.
Ramona L. Shaw
Ramona L. Shaw, 46, of Little Rock died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Lloyd of Little Rock and Marshall Lloyd of Lonoke; her parents, Olin and Thelma Jackson of Little Rock; three grandchildren.
Funeral was Thursday at Ruebel Funeral Home with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family requests memorials be made to the Arkansas Hospice.
Jessie G. McGowan
Jessie G. McGowan, 81, of Lonoke died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003.
She was a member of First Gospel Church in Little Rock.
She was the widow of Austin Z. McGowan and is survived by four sons - Wayne McGowan of Lonoke, Jesse McGowan of Gravel Ridge, Glynn McGowan of Beebe, Paul Mc-Gowan of Little Rock; two daughters - Holly Laureano of Lonoke and Sue Merrill of Pocola, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Jean O’Dell of Carbon Hill, Ala.
Funeral services were Aug. 20, at First Gospel Church. Burial was in Concord Cemetery. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.
Audrey Hamilton
Audrey Hamilton, 77, of Carlisle died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003.
She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Spencer and Margaret Tustison and one brother, Homer Hamilton.
Graveside services were Aug. 16, at Walter’s Chapel Cemetery
with arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
James Wesley White
James Wesley “Jimmie” White, age 84, of the Plainview Community near Carlisle, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003.
He served as a mechanic at the Stuttgart Air Base during World War II, and was a farmer. He was a member of the Hebron Methodist Church. When he retired from farming, Jimmie went into the automobile business.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn White; his son, Larry White; his daughter, Brenda Halijan; his brother, Jerry White; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
