Linda Kay Hewitt
Linda Kay Hewitt, 53, of Conway, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Coy Hewitt of Conway; son, Richard Hamilton, Jr., of Georgia; two daughters, Loretta Bierman of Cabot and Randy Armentrout of Beebe; parents, Riley and Patsy Whiteside of Jacksonville; brother, Howard Whiteside of Jacksonville; sister, Sandra Meredith of Conway, four grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday and funeral service was Friday at 10 a.m. at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Cypress Valley Cemetery.
Wayne Roberts
Wayne Roberts, age 56, of Cabot, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was an active member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cabot, Ark., and was a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the United States Air Force. He was admired for his craftsmanship in furniture building, and enjoyed taking his granddaughters fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janie Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Keith Davis; granddaughters, Shelby and Haley Davis all of Cabot; father and step-mother, Wildon and Eva Roberts of LaMarque, Texas; brothers, Glenn Roberts of Galveston, Texas, and Dennis Roberts of Alvin, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue E. Roberts and grandson, Tyler L. Davis.

Lula Mae Cordell
Lula Mae Cordell, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 24, 2003.
She was a lifelong resident of Lonoke, a member of Lonoke Baptist Church and retired from Arkansas Department of Human Services with 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cordell; grandson, Terry Joe Cordell; daughter, Gracie Conner; father, Robert S. Long Sr.; mother, Lieu Glover Long; brother, Robert S. Long Jr.; and sisters, Charity Rose Hill, Roxie Long, Hattie Lyons and Zana Duckworth.
She is survived by her children, Jamie Lieu Gable of Kensett, Jerry “Burr” (Diane) Cordell, Joe Cordell, Mary Jane (Carroll) Hallum, Pam (Bill) Landis, all of Lonoke, Paula (John) Bramlett of Benton, Helen (David) Bryant of Greers Ferry; grandchildren, Elizabeth Van Houten, Bobby Cordell, Jody Anthony, Cody Cordell, Janie Sexton, Fred Hallum, Dinah Soderling, Dustin Weatherford; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lula Mae “Maw-maw” will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ark. Kidney Foundation, Ark. Heart Association or Lonoke Baptist Church Youth Fund.
Services were Sept. 27, 2003, at Lonoke Baptist Church with interment at Lonoke Cemetery

Phyllis A. Davidson
Phyllis Annette Davidson, age 53, of Bryant, widow of Noel M. Hamm Sr., died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
She spent 35 years working with the public in sales related positions. She was employed as security registered representative from 1988 until her demise. She had worked for various broker security firms in Little Rock. She was the founder and president of the Arkansas Junior Chamber of Commerce International Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sister, Debra K. Davidson of Cabot; three brothers, Dennis O. Davidson, of Batesville, Steve Davidson of Conway, and Michael Davidson of Acworth, Ga.
Funeral was Sept. 24, 2003, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe.
Betty Jane Williams
Betty Jane Munnerlyn Williams, age 68, died Sept. 24, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Trent Williams; daughters, Brenda K. Philo and Gail Hodges of Vilonia and Diane Head and Vicki McCarty of California; one son, Raymond Williams of Lonoke; brothers, J.C. Munnerlyn and Linvle Munnerlyn of Hazen, Orval Munnerlyn of Carlisle and Ron Munnerlyn of Ward; sisters, Geneva Cole of Carlisle and Shirley Trickey of Cabot; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment in Hamilton Cemetery, by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.

Betty G. Goff
Betty G. Goff, 66, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Taylor of Jacksonville; two grandsons; sisters, Myrtle Lamb of Lonoke and Wassie Pfeifer of Russellville; brother, Billy Flanary of Russellville.
Funeral services were Sept. 29, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
Barbara Feeser
Barbara Feeser, 67, of Austin, died Thursday.
She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Manson and Linda Kay Carter; sons, Ricky Bostian, Gary Bostian, and Mark Bostian; four brothers, Marshall Cruce, Aaron Cruce, Mitchell Jones and Everett Jones; and her sisters, Sylvia Ball, Gail Burton, Peggy Evans, Shirley Walker and Ila Jones; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services, through Huson Funeral Home, Little Rock, were held at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

MSgt. Retired, Alan Kenneth Marlatt, age 48, of Cabot, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003.
Survived by his wife, Karen Marlatt; daughter, Katherine; and son, Alex all of the home; mother, Tee Droege; and sister, Linda K. Marlatt of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.
Private family services were held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

W.R. Baker
W.R. “Bill” Baker, 78, of El Dorado, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army. He served as the director of Public Works for the City of El Dorado for 33 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Tommie Jane Baker; a son, Harold Baker of El Dorado; three daughters, JoAnn White of Cabot, Brenda Baker of Little Rock, and Kathy Murph of Parkers Chapel; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 28, at Young’s Funeral Directors Chapel, with burial in Arlington Cemetery.

Elsie O. Brannon Wagner, 78, of Little Rock died Sept. 26, 2003.
She was born in Cabot.
Survivors are her husband, Lester Wagner; daughters, Doris Coulson and Esther Adams; a sister, Mae White; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Oct. 1 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Chapel in Little Rock, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Irene Leonard Allen
Irene Leonard Allen, 85, of Monticello died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
She was the widow of Curtis Allen, owned and operated Allen Feed, and was a member of the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Allen of Monticello; one brother, Rev. Ben Frank Leonard of Cabot; one sister, Betty Ruth Hayden of Monticello; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was Monday at the Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery

Juanita Martha Cavender, 79, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Cleo Cavender; children, Judy Diane Babb of Jacksonville, Ricky Cleo Cavender of Austin, Debbie Juanita Preston of Jacksonville, David Allen Cavender of Jacksonville, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
