Janet Lee Graham

Janet Lee Graham, 64, of North Little Rock died Nov. 22, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Tim of Cabot; brothers, Jon Lawler of Elmhurst, Ill., and Terry Joe Lawler of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Bonnie Hawkins of Clarksville, and Claudia Mitchell of Trevor, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, was in charge of arrangements.

Charles R. Cameron

Charles R. Cameron, 76, of Parkers Chapel died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Sarah Pickering Cameron; his two sons, Barry Cameron of Parkers Chapel and Andy a Cameron of Cabot; three daughters, Cathy Cameron of Sherwood, Anita Cameron of North Little Rock, and Beth Weldon of Parkers Chapel; nine grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters.
He was a Navy veteran, operated Cameron’s Radiator Shop in El Dorado, Cameron’s Grocery in Parkers Chapel and retired from Ethyl Corporation in 1989.

Funeral services were Nov. 25, in Young’s Chapel, with burial in the Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials be made to Community Hospice, 1427 North West Ave., El Dorado, Ark., 71730.

Services were by Young’s Funeral Directors of Distinction.

James R. Alberson Jr.

James Raymond Alberson Jr., 35, of Jacksonville died Nov. 19, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Pattie Hatton Alberson; mother, Barbara Alberson; a sister, Billie Rae Willis; son, Jordan Hatton; daughters, Nikki and Taylor Hatton; and grandmothers, Myrtle Lamb and Ruby Scott.

Funeral was Sunday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with interment in Burris Cemetery, Lonoke.

Georgia Oleta Way

Georgia Oleta Way, 88, of Humnoke, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003.
She was born in Lonoke, and was a member of Humnoke United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie; one son, Kenneth, both of Humnoke; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Effie Marie Fuller, Sherwood, Evelyn Ramer, Fordyce, Hazel Claybaugh, Fort Smith, Joyce Tilbury, and Elsie Jane Johnston, Bastrop, La.

Services were Nov. 17 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Humnoke, with interment in Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle. Services by Wilson Funeral Home, England.

James R. Barentine

James R. Barentine, 78, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 12, 2003.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was also a retired Pharmaceutical Salesman for Archer Drug Company.

He is survived by one son, David J. Barentine of Frederick, Md.; and one daughter, Lisa Gay Lee of North Little Rock; two grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Barentine of Montgomery, Ala., and Doyle Barentine of El Dorado; two sisters, Wilma “Billie” Hinkson and Alice Cathey, both of Sherwood.

Funeral services were Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cabot.

Rebecca F. Lyttleton

Rebecca Fields Lyttleton, 81, died Nov. 15, 2003.

She was educated in Charleston schools and a graduate of Charleston High School. She attended Perdue Music Studio, Mason College of Fine Arts, and the Charleston School of Commerce. She was a member of the Charleston Symphony for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Ann Alderson, and two grandchildren.
Arrangements made by Cremation Association of Arkansas.

E.H. ‘Pap’ Mathers

E.H. “Pap’’ Mathers, age 68, of Butlerville, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003.
He was an auto mechanic, and a Baptist.

Surviving are his brother, Harvey Mathers; and sister, Eula Mae Hatler, both of Alamogordo, N.M.

Graveside service was Wednesday at Butlerville Cemetery, Ward, with burial by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.

James A. Waggoner

James Aldreda Waggoner of Hemit, Calif., died Oct. 20, 2003.

Survived by daughters, Valerie DalSanto of Morgan, and Cynthia Waggoner, Joplin, Mo.; brothers, Wayne, Lonnie, Donnie of Carlisle, Jimmy Waggoner of Houston, Texas, Jerry of Altheimer, Billy, Fred of Pine Bluff, Ray of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Patty of Memphis, Tenn., and Ivan Dale of Benton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Nola M. Johnson

Nola Middleton Johnson, age 62, of North Little Rock, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. She was a retired psychiatric registered nurse who was formerly employed at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Baptist Hospital and the Bridgeway Hospital.

Survived by one son, Jesse, her former husband Bill Johnson of Little Rock and his granddaughter Marcy McArthur Wells of Batesville.

A memorial service will be held at St. James Methodist Church on West Markham Street on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003 at 1 p.m.

Memorials be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Col. Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service 713 South Second St., Cabot, Arkansas.

John W. Webb

John W. Webb, 89, of Sherwood died November 4, 2003 at Arkansas Hospice.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Webb, his parents, Joe and Ethel Webb, 1 brother and 3 sisters. He is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Webb and Carolyn Cash of Sherwood; 2 sisters, Donia Harbour of Cabot and Lilllie M. Johnson of NLR; 1 brother, J.D. Webb of LR; 1 granddaughter, Melissa Cash Whiting and husband Drew, and 1 great-granddaughter, Makayla Whiting, of Tichnor.

Mr. Webb was in the Navy and served in WWII. He was a former farmer and mechanic and retired from the Kroger Company.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 6 from 5-8 pm at the Cabot Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be Friday Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at Sumner Cemetery. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.

Barbara J. Hankins

Barbara Jean Webb Groves Hankins, age 72, of Crossett, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003.

She was a retired computer operator from Ideal Lumber Company. She was a vestry member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, and a volunteer at the food bank.
Survivors include one son, Gregory E. Groves of West Monroe, La.; one daughter, Lynn Sturdivant of Crossett; three step-sons, Bailey R. Hankins, Jr. of Cleveland, Miss., Bradley Hankins of Cabot, Brent Hankins of Highland Village, Texas; one stepdaughter, Jan Schafersman of Littleton, Colo.; four grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were Oct. 25, at St. Marks Episcopal Church.

Marcel H. Cheshier

Marcel Hood Cheshier, 90, of Monticello died Oct. 22, 2003.

He was owner and operator of Cheshier Shoe Repair, was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Monticello and served as Deacon for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Janie Mae Johnson of Collinsville, Ill., Martha Nell Eason of Monticello, and Joyce Annice Peyton of Hillsboro, Texas; four brothers, Pete Cheshier of Kansas, James Cheshier of Ft. Smith, Bob Cheshier of Little Rock, and Dave Cheshier of Neodesha, Kan.; one sister, Maxie Cheshier of Cabot; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Saturday, at First Assembly of God Church in Monticello. Burial in Campground Cemetery. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello.

Marjorie May Weber

Marjorie May Weber, 94, died Oct. 17, 2003.

She is survived by sons, James Weber of Spokane, Wash. and Donald Weber of Lonoke; daughters, Dorothy Burton of Sherwood, Betty Wilson of Turlock, Calif., Pat Weber of Red Bluff, Calif., Rose Piazza and Margaret Glover, both of Lonoke, and Sandy Weber of Cabot; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary service was Sunday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, with funeral Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Jacksonville.
