Kathy Kegley
Kathy Kegley of Cabot died Nov. 29, 2003, at the age of 64.
She was a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Advantage in Cabot. She was a member of Lonoke Baptist Church in Lonoke.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Kegley of Cabot; her daughter, Brenna Fraine of Palestine, Texas; four stepdaughters, Charlotte Smith and Renee Pierce, Corning, Brenda Boon and Tammy Fitts of Jonesboro; one brother, Ken Waggoner of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday.
Octavie West
Octavie West, 88, of Hot Springs, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003.
Graveside service was Dec. 3, at Friendship Cemetery, Hot Springs. Brandon’s Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are two sisters, Erma Lee Fields of Hot Springs, Ark., and Cellie Bowmar of Little Rock.
Lillian Mae Glover
Lillian Mae Rodgers Glover, 89, of Little Rock, died Wednesday Nov. 26, 2003.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ernest L. Glover of Little Rock; one son, Roger E. Glover of Lonoke; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; two brothers, Robert Rodgers of White Hall, and Raymond Rodgers of Little Rock.
She retired from J.C. Penney in Little Rock after 17 years. She was active in the St. Luke United Methodist Church, a member of the Open Door Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women.
Funeral services were Nov. 29, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with burial at Shells Chapel in Ladd.

Clyde Peters
Clyde Peters, 82, of Cabot died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003.
He was a retired truck driver, a Baptist, a Mason, a Rainbow Dad and an Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Jerry Horn of Cabot and Gene Horn of Russellville; daughters, Dee Tanner of Olympia, Wash., Kitty Weathers of Cabot, and Linda Lorenz of Higden; brother, Jim Peters of San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Cordia Serett of McRae and Eunice Sanford of Sunnyvale, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, Dec. 1, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Callie Kadel
Callie Kadel, 93, formerly of Kansas died Nov. 24, 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Park of Lonoke and a son, John Kadel of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Lincoln Plaza Nursing Center in Lonoke. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
Iona G. Matthews
Iona G. Matthews of Lonoke, 78, died Nov. 27, 2003.
She is survived by three children, Bessie M. Roe of Jacksonville, Clara J. McKenzie of Gravel Ridge and Charles A. Metcalf of Little Rock; a sister, Faye Phillips and a brother, Joe Phillips both of Carlisle; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke with interment in Concord Cemetery.
William Odell Fry
William Odell Fry, 81, of Cabot died Dec. 5, 2003. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Mary Lee Fry. He is survived by two sons, Jerry Fry and his wife Sandy, Clayton Fry and his wife Laura and one daughter, Cathey Brown and her husband George all of Cabot; one brother, A. B Fry of Newport, AR; two sisters, Polly Northcutt of Houston, TX and Carolyn Shepard of Kingman, AZ; four grandchildren, Lena Clemons, Bill Fry, Will Fry, and Heather Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 8, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral Services were at 2 pm Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003 at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
Lucy Bogard Stratton
Lucy Bogard Stratton, 91, a long-time Carlisle resident, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at Golden Years Manor in Lonoke, where she had been a resident since April 22, 2001.
She got a job at Young’s Department Store. She later was made buyer of ladies’ apparel for the department store chain, which consisted of seven stores during her time of employment.
Survivors include two daughters Shirley Lawson Turner of Abingdon, Va., and Faye Lynne Clayton Yarnell of Carlisle; two stepchildren, Herbert Stratton of Wynne and Mary Jo Stratton Zipp of New Braunfels, Texas; five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in the funeral home chapel of Westbrook Funeral Home on Dec. 2, 2003 with Rev. Doyle Oden officiating. Burial followed at Carlisle Cemetery.

Virginia V. Lusinger
Virginia Vaught Lusinger, age 75, of Cabot, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Lincoln Plaza Nursing Home in Lonoke.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pine Bluff..
She is survived by one son, Thomas A. Lusinger III of White Hall; a daughter, Barbara of Cabot; one brother, Robert Vaught of DeSoto, Mo.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services wa held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at Bellwood Annex Cemetery, 2118 West Pullen, Pine Bluff, with the Reverend Joe Hellums, of Austin, officiating. There was no formal visitation.
Dave Richard Parker, 67, of Little Rock, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003. He was a retired general contractor and a member of Life Unlimited Christian Fellowship Church.
He is survived by sons Phillip Parker of Little Rock and Bret Parker of Amarillo, Texas; daughters Pam Hensley of Missouri, Beth Parker of Arlington, Texas, and Sarah Parker of Bryant; sisters, Peggy Fletcher of Little Rock, Francis Burchfield of Dalton, Ga., Margaret Haywood of Phoenix, Ariz. and Pearl Bailey of Winter Park, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Hebron Methodist Church, Carlisle, with burial in Hebron Cemetery, by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Brenda Kay Hardin
Brenda Kay Hardin, 51, of Ward, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003. She was an employee of Loreal USA. She was a member of the Church of Christ where she attended the Austin Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Wayne Hardin of Ward; son Douglas Wayne Hardin of Ward; daughter Rhonda Kay Moore of Macon; brother William Jerry Bayles of Bauxite; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, December 8, 2003, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Monk Cemetery, Ward.
Carrie Phillips
Carrie Phillips, 21, of North Little Rock died Dec. 4, 2003. She is survived by her parents, Callie and Sherry Phillips; one brother, Callie Phillips, Jr. of Hawaii.
Visitation was Sat., Dec. 6 at Cabot Funeral Home. A Memorial Service was Saturday at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel.
Lloyd M. Allen
Lloyd M. Allen, 85, of Beebe, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003. He was the retired owner and operator of The College Inn in Beebe. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and a life member of the Beebe VFW.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Terri Allen, of Beebe, two sons, Sam Allen and Butch Allen, of California; a sister, Ruby Hale, of Mississippi; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 8, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was Tuesday, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe. Memorials may be made to the Beebe VFW.

Evelyn Jones
Evelyn Jones, 86, of Cabot, Arkansas, died Friday, December 5, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Cordelia Bearden of Old Austin, Arkansas, and her husband of 59 years, Aubrey F. Jones, of Cabot, Arkansas.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Hatfield and her husband, Marshall, of Hot Springs and Janita Hoskyn and her husband, John, of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Amanda Hatfield of Little Rock, Kyle Hatfield and his wife, Stacy, of Little Rock, Mark Hoskyn of Little Rock and Jerri Hoskyn and her husband, John Perez, of St. Louis, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Hank and Grace Hatfield of Little Rock and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was an active member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church for sixty years, serving as treasurer, Sunday School teacher, member of the Church Choir, Board of Trustees, and member of the building committees for a new sanctuary and the expansion in progress. After working as a bookkeeper for several years, she became one of the first realtors in Cabot. She and her husband co-owned and operated the Jones Construction and Jones Realty Companies until retirement in 1979.
Visitation was Sunday, December 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 P.M. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe (501-882-5412). Services were at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church on Monday, December 8, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Mt.
