HICKORY RIDGE — Barbara Joyce Stevens, 63, of Hickory Ridge passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, in Jonesboro.
Survivors are her husband, Edward Ray Stevens Sr. of Hickory Ridge; sons, Benny Ray Stevens of Missouri, Johnny Wayne Vickers of McCrory, Edward Ray Stevens Jr. of Hickory Ridge, and B.J. Stevens of Beedeville; daughters, Julie Roe of Missouri and Stacey Mason of McCrory; three brothers; two sisters; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is tonight from 6-8 at Kernodle Funeral Home, Wynne, followed by services at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Fakes Cemetery
at McCrory.
Richard ‘Tony’ Whittle
CLEARWATER, Fla. — Richard “Tony” Whittle, 56, of Clearwater, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at his home.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Whittle.
Richard is survived by three sisters, Edna James of San Antonio, Sherry Campbell and her husband Charley of Blytheville and Janet Sparks of Memphis; a host of nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles.
There will be a private memorial service held by the family.
Ervin La Vance Clarke
ASH FLAT — Ervin La Vance Clarke, 95, of Ash Flat died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011.
Ervin was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his sons, Lyn Ray Clarke and Stephen Patrick Clarke; stepson, Dwight Anderson; stepdaughter, Ruby Wood; sister, Rose Edna French; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 25 nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Heath Oak Hill Chapel with burial following in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Heath Funeral Home.
Shirley Coleman
JONESBORO — Shirley Coleman, 55, of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born at Blytheville to James Aubrey and Maggie Maenette House Coleman, she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery
at Blytheville with Billy Holifield officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from noon until 1 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
Drena Evans
WYNNE — Drena Dye Evans, 37, of Wynne passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, at her home.
Survivors are her daughter, Annabelle Burton Evans of Wynne, a sixth-grader at Wynne Junior High School; mother, Nona Faye Dye of Wynne; brother, David L. Dye of Jonesboro; sister, Sandra K. Madle of Alpena; and nieces and nephews, Candace, Zachary, Brittney, Jacob and Jessica.
Visitation will be today from 9-10 a.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home with services following at 10 and burial in Halk Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to McElroy Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church, Wynne.
Dorothy Mae Howard
BAY — Dorothy Mae Howard, 84, of Bay died Sunday, Feb. 13, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was a homemaker, devoted to family, and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at Bay.
Dorothy was dearly loved, and will be forever remembered by family, including her husband, Edward Howard Sr. of the home; her son, Edward (Elizabeth) Howard Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughters, Drucilla Noble of Toledo, Ohio, and Debra (Raymond) McKay of Bay; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many cousins; and a host of friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Bay with the Rev. Ray Scales officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis Spur Cemetery
at Bay under direction of Woodard Funeral Service of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Ian Michael Jasinski
JONESBORO — Ian Michael Jasinski, 4-month-old son of Eric and Robyn Jasinski, entered into heaven on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
“Precious little angel, you have brought healing and love to everyone around you. In your short life you showed us all that even a tiny little one can have the strength and heart of a lion. Please watch over your Sissy from above. Your Mommy loves you, Ian.”
Ian is survived by his parents, Eric and Robyn Schultz Jasinski of Jonesboro; brothers, Stephen Stewart and Tristan Stewart, both of Houston, Texas; twin sister, Maura Jasinski of the home; and grandparents, Teresa Schultz and Michael and Laura Barrett.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Stephen Schultz.
All services will be private.
Damon Scott Jones
RAVENDEN SPRINGS — Damon Scott Jones, 47, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011.
He was born Dec. 13, 1963, at Pocahontas. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones of the home; children, Gary Collins, James McMullin, Ryan Jones, Robert Jones and Brandy Jones; two grandchildren, Alyssa McMullin and Crista Swift; siblings, Donna Grubb, Cheryl Woodfrin, Polly O’Neil, Anthony Jones, Tracey Brink, Kimberly Garmroth, Delcy Davis and Laura Brown; and mother, Frances Glasco.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Charter Oak Cemetery
with H.J. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. before services in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
Lois L. McCracken
JONESBORO — Lois L. McCracken, 90, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Jonesboro to James Marvin and Bessie D. Brown Gibson. Lois was a cook for North Schools and Jonesboro Public Schools. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curmit McCracken, and her parents.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Wayne McCracken; a brother and his wife, Gaylon and Kay Gibson of Jonesboro; nephews, Caroll Dacus and wife Linda, Kenny Gibson, Leonard Dacus and wife Louise, and Gary McCracken, all of Jonesboro, Lloyd McCracken III and wife Becky of Paragould, and Lowell Thomas and wife Joeline of Mena; and a niece, Debbie Cockrell and husband Keith of Memphis.
Visitation and chapel services will be Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. with the service beginning at 2. Wynndel King will officiate. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
The family will serve as pallbearers. Della Green, Caroll Brown and Jean Copeland will serve as honorary pallbearers.
T.L. Noblin
JONESBORO — T.L. Noblin, 81, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
He had lived in Jonesboro since 1950 and was a member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ. T.L. loved music and played the harmonica, was an avid golfer and active walker to promote his physical fitness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. and Lillian Noblin; brothers, William Noblin and Charles Noblin; and sisters, Pamelia Burkhalter and Louise Gooch.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frances Noblin of the home; daughter, Lori Noblin of Jonesboro; brother, Don H. Noblin of Cardwell, Mo.; and sisters, Willene Miller of Texarkana, Texas, and Betty Gobbell of Cataula, Ga.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Joe Kee and Bill Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
with John Robertson, Gary Bearden, Josh Rook, Marshall Lands, Bill Baker and Dan Nichols serving as pallbearers and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers are the elders and deacons of Greensboro Road Church of Christ, Bob Tyler, A.H. Stanley and Herman Tinsley.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Betty Jo Rogers
JONESBORO — Betty Jo Rogers, 83, of Jonesboro passed away at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011.
Betty Jo was born on Oct. 18, 1928, in Jonesboro to Earl and Ida Price McAnear. She was a retired network administrator for Southwestern Bell and a member of First Baptist Church, Jonesboro.
Her survivors include a sister, Eva Dacus; a brother, James Earl McAnear and wife Ann; two grandchildren, Erin Rogers Odom and Blake Rogers; and five great-grandchildren, Mac Odom, Addie Blake Odom, Harry Odom, Henley Rogers and Presley Rogers.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Rogers; a son, Eddie Joe Rogers; and two sisters, Erlene Phillips and Bonnie Hoffman.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Langford-Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro with the Rev. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be James Earl McAnear, Fred Dacus, Johnny Dacus, Jim Hoffman, Blake Rogers and David Long.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Langford-Bookout Funeral Home chapel.
