DeHoff

John Wesley DeHoff Sr., 76, of Hughes, died Jan. 18 at the home of his son in Millington, Tenn. Born in Black Oak, he was a retired carpenter, a member of the VFW and a World War II Navy veteran. He was of the Church of Christ belief and was a founder of both the Men's and Women's Serenity House and served on the board of directors of both organizations.

Survivors include two sons, John W. DeHoff Jr. of Millington, Tenn., and Joseph O. DeHoff of Saybrooke, Ill.; two daughters, R. Ann DeHoff of Houston, Texas, and Johnnie Sue Petrich of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Bertha Mae Smith of Henderson, Nev., and Mary Ann Vaas of Nevada; 12 grandchildren and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice DeHoff.

Funeral services were held Jan. 21 in the chapel of Munford Funeral Home of Millington, Tenn. Burial was in Memory Hill cemetery in Memphis.

Mrs. Stout

Mrs. Lucille Whitley Stout, 98, of Bradford, died Monday at the Craighead Nursing Center of Jonesboro. Born in Bradford, she was a homemaker, a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Bradford and a member of the Bradford First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Dailey of Bradford and Margaret Scott of Jonesboro; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 this morning at the First United Methodist Church of Bradford, under the direction of Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob/Judsonia. Burial will be in Heard Cemetery at Bradford.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 this morning at the church.

For individuals who wish to leave memorials, the family has requested that consideration be given to the Bradford First United Methodist Church or the charity of their choice.

Watson infant

Benjamin Michael Watson, infant son of Christian and Sheri Watson of Paragould, died Monday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.

Survivors other than his parents include paternal grandparents, Terry and Laura Watson of Lillian, Ala., and Rinate and Helmut Kilke of Shelby Township, Mich.; maternal grandparents, Lindell and Alice Childers of Paragould; paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Helen Watson of Paragould; maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Childers of South Point, Ohio; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Myrtle Watson of Paragould.

Graveside services will be held at 11 Thursday morning at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould, with Chad Wood officiating, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould. No visitation will be held.

Martin

Ezra Eugene Osburn Martin, 95, of Hoxie, died Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Ima Martin of the home; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 in the Higginbotham Funeral Service chapel in Walnut Ridge, with Rev. Lowell Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be held from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Pyland

William E. "Bill" Pyland, 61, of Caraway, died Saturday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was a Caraway native and a retired carpenter and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Caraway.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Pyland of the home; three sons, Terry Pyland and Lynn Pyland of Jonesboro, and Lee Pyland of Caraway; two sisters, Bettye Rogers and Dora B. Rogers, both of Jonesboro; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 at the Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Monette, with Rev. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery.

Jeffrey Crews, Bill Carle, Barry Emery, Allen Puckett, Marty Wilkinson and nephews will serve as active pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Baugh, J.E. Story, Mark Bell, Gary Overman, Ted Thomas, Mitchell Caldwell, Joe Brooks, Jerry Qualls, Harvey Faulkner, Bernard Berry, Jim Goodman, Kevin Simpkins, Tony Clark, Donnie Busby, and members of the Caraway High School class of 1957.

Visitation will be this evening from 6 until 8 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Mrs. Barnhart

Mrs. Dorothy Jane Barnhart, 79, of Cherokee Village, died Saturday evening at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.

Lawrence

Henry Lawrence, 73, of Paragould, died Friday at his home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould.

Hamlin

Carl Hamlin Sr., 87, of Brookings, died Friday at Brookings. He was a self-employed fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Hamlin of Brookings; one son, Carl Hamlin Jr. of Brookings; one daughter, Joyce Gates of Prairieville, La.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

A graveside service will be held this morning at 11 at Pirtle Cemetery. Rev. Billy Snow will officiate and Ermert Funeral Home of Corning has charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be this morning from 9 until service time at the funeral home.

Moore

Funeral services for Bryan Kent Moore, 16, of Walnut Ridge, who died Friday from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident near Powhatan, will be Monday afternoon at 2 at House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Robert Davis, Devin Swindle and Vernon Baker will officiate and burial will follow at Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia.

Active pallbearers will be Phillip Dunlap, Tommy Dunlap, Jerry Moore Jr., Michael Johnson, Jon Johnson and Tim Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will include B.J. Thacker and Kenneth Smith.

He was an eleventh grade student at Black Rock High School, where he was a fire marshal and was a member of the Future Farmers of America, the Birdell Saddle Club and the Portia Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nita Moore Richey and Gale Richey, both of the home; one brother, Aaron Richey of the home; one sister, Christie Richey of the home; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Donna Moore of Portia; his maternal great-grandparents, Rupert and Bertie Hembry of Black Rock and George Moore of Walnut Ridge. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Chloe Moore.

Visitation will be this afternoon from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Miss Watkins

Miss Vay Watkins, 91, of Grubbs, died Friday at her home. Born in Jackson County, she was a retired grocery clerk and a member of the Ballews Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was a member of Women Active for Christ and the Ladies Sunday School Club.

Survivors include one sister, Lena Clark of Grubbs. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 at the Ballews Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with Hoover Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Ballews Chapel Cemetery at Grubbs. Jackson's Newport Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be J.C. McMinn, Cleamon Odglen, Ronnie McCoy, Kenneth Clark, Ray Prince and Jason Clark.

Visitation will be this afternoon from 5 until 8 this evening and from 8 until 11 Monday morning at the funeral home.

Mrs. Willmuth

Mrs. Amy Mason Willmuth, 89, of Strawberry, died Friday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. She was a homemaker and a cook at the Strawberry school for several years. She worked for the Frolic Shoe Company in Walnut Ridge and was a member of the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Auxilliary.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Willmuth of Walnut Ridge and Carrol Willmuth of Strawberry; one daughter, Sydney Kealer of Bryant; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Willmuth, and by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10 at the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell, with John Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Ward Cemetery at Strawberry. Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Wann, Murphy Willmuth, Billy Saffell, F.K. Willmuth, Charles Willmuth and Jimmy Willmuth.

Visitation will be this evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Cheshier

Ernest Pittsor Cheshier, 79, of Heber Springs, died Friday at the Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs. Formerly of Little Rock, he was a retired construction superintendent and a 50-year member and past president of the Carpenters Union Local in Little Rock. He was a former officer of the National Campers and Hikers Association and was a member of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Dollie Cheshier of Heber Springs; two daughters, Bev Claunch of Heber Springs and Gloria Cheshier of Beaver, Pa.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be this evening at 6 at the Sugar Loaf Baptist Church, with Rev. Lloyd Blanton officiating. Burial will be Monday afternoon at 1 at the Pinecrest Memorial Park. Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs has charge of arrangements.
