Terrance Doushean Davis
OSCEOLA — Terrance Doushean Davis, 20, of Osceola died Sept. 1, 2008, at Cape Town, South Africa.
He was born July 23, 1988, at Blytheville to Alonzo Davis of Luxora and Trala Branch of Osceola. His sister, Kierra Davis of Luxora, and grandmother, Gloria Garth of Osceola also survive.
He had attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., for three years and belonged to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Edward Richardson officiating and arrangements by Wilson’s Osceola Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Whiteside Cemetery.
Betty JoAnn Griffin
UNION CITY, Tenn. — Betty JoAnn Griffin, 71, of Union City, Tenn., formerly of Harrisburg, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
She was born May 8, 1937, in Obion County, Tenn., to the late Huel White and Betty Joel Barnes Crabtree.
Survivors include her sons, David Huel Griffin of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Barry Wayne Griffin of Tawas City, Mich.; four grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Griffin and two brothers.
Services were Tuesday in Union City with arrangements by White-Ranson Funeral Home Inc.
O.H. Kappelman
PARAGOULD — O.H. Kappelman, 76, of Paragould passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.
He was born May 10, 1932, at Hooker to Oscar Henry and Pearl Roswell Kappelman. He was a member of Oak Grove Heights Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kappelman; two sons, Jeff and Chris Kappelman, both Paragould; two brothers, Oneal and O.V. Kappelman, both of Paragould; two sisters, Marybell Grooms of Paragould and Carlena Schuky of Modesto, Calif.; and one grandchild, Reed Kappelman.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Cleo and Odell Kappelman; and one sister, Lanora Skaggs.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Center Hill Chapel at Phillips Funeral Home with Kevin Edgar officiating. Interment will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Fuller, Greg Condray, Michael Huckabee, Bob Lashley, Brad Hester and Keith Jameson.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Breckenridge, Bill Lott, Kenneth Pugh and Thomas Bailey.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8.
Christopher Elijah Manning
JONESBORO — Christopher Elijah Manning, infant son of Shalauna Collier and Greg Manning, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Kordaylen Rack and Mario Collier Jr.
Graveside services and burial will be today at 2 p.m. in Nettleton Cemetery
under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.

BLYTHEVILLE — Henry Pritchett Sr., 85, of Blytheville died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
He is survived by four sons, two daughters, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Memory Garden Cemetery
under the direction of Wilson’s Blytheville Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-9 at the family residence at 1016 Rollison, Blytheville.

Billy Jennings South
SEDGWICK — Billy J. South, 77, of Sedgwick passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2008.
Born May 17, 1931 in Light, he was the son of Floyd and Clara Lamuew South.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara South of the home; two sons, Billy Don South of Jonesboro and Mark South of Paragould; a daughter, Karen William of Brookland; a brother, Clarence South of Georgia; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Old
military Cemetery
under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Sherri L. Williams
JONESBORO — Sherri L. Williams, 42, of Bono, died Tuesday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Harrisburg, Sherri lived much of her life in Jonesboro before moving to Bono last year. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Jonesboro. Sherri along with her husband comprised the gospel duet, “Inner Heart.”
Sherri was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Carolyn Wallis Swindle.
Surviviros include her Husband, Lawrence “Jake” Williams of the home; a daughter Kayla Williams of the home; a brother Jimmy Swindle of Jonesboro; and a special friend Beth Moore of Marked Tree.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rick Clark and Russ Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery
near Greenfield.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Rubie Goodsell
RAVENDEN SPRINGS — Rubie Goodsell, 97, of Ravenden Springs, daughter of Thomas McDaniel and Amanda Mabry McDaniel, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at her home.
She is survived by five children, Charles Goodsell of O’Fallon, Mo., Lovilla McClanahan of Pocahontas, Eugene Goodsell of Alabama, Catherine McDaniel of Wright City, Mo., and Tommy and William Earl Goodsell of Ravenden Springs; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Cox-Waymon Funeral Home at Pocahontas with burial in Janes Creek Cemetery
at Ravenden Springs.
Visitation will be from 5-7 in the funeral home.

NEWPORT — Nicole Anne Mykkanen, 34, of Newport died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Mykkanen.
She is survived by her mother, Julie Davis, and stepfather, Peter of Newport; one brother, Corey Mykkanen of Newport; one niece, Samantha Mykkanen of Minnesota; one nephew, Corey Mykkanen Jr. of Minnesota; and her fiancé, Jason Young of Minnesota.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Dillinger Chapel.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until service time.
