OSCEOLA — Tevin William Seals, 14, of Osceola died on Oct. 3. at SMC hospital.
He is survived by his parents, James Cannon of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lois Phillips of Osceola, and his sister Felicia Seals of West Memphis.
Visitation will be Friday from 1-3 p.m. in Princess Temple Church. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday in the church with the Rev. Tony Jefferson officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Ridge Cemetery
at Burdette.

William Henry Smith
JONESBORO — William “Bill” Henry Smith, 82, passed away peacefully at his residence Sunday, Oct 7, 2007.
He was born Dec. 4, 1924, at Fontaine in Greene County. He graduated from Bono School. Bill was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps on Guam and Saipan.
He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and Golden Retirees Sunday School Class.
Bill was a past member of the board of Oak Ridge Cemetery. He also was a volunteer with the Red Cross and a blood driver.
Survivors include his son and wife, Lindell and Tiresa Frasier Smith of Jonesboro; a daughter and granddaughter, LaDawn and Bree Lamb of Jonesboro; niece and her husband, Debbie and Dennis Harmon of California and their sons and families; nephew, Chuck Smith of Paragould; along with other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Albert and Lillie Mae Moore Smith; a brother and his wife, Chester Eugene “Gene” and Thelma Baird Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with the Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery
near Bono.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ralph Forrester, Jerry Thurman, Ted Lamb, Carroll Holloway and Vernon Stone and as honorary pallbearers will be past and present members of the Golden Retirees Sunday School Class at Central Baptist Church and National Association of Letter Carriers.
Visitation will be this evening from 5-8 at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Edward L. Snyder
BONO — Edward L. Snyder, 69, of Bono, died Monday, Oct. 8, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born in Walnut Ridge on Feb. 7, 1938, to Fred and Grace Ary Snyder. He retired from Angelo’s Manufacturing and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jerden Snyder of the home; two sons, Daniel Snyder of 208 Alta Street, Bono, and Dale Snyder of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Chad Snyder of Bono, Adele Pagan and Bradley Snyder, both of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Lily Snyder, Ethan Pagan and Nicholas Pagan; five brothers, Junior Snyder of Oakhill, Lehman Snyder of St. Louis, David Snyder, Alfred Snyder and Carl Snyder, all of Pocahontas; and two sisters, Emma Walton and Pauline Reeves, both of Pocahontas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Grace Snyder; and one sister, Earline Snyder.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today in Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Trinity Cemetery
with Steven Reeves officiating.
Ronald Allan Stephens
TRUMANN — Ronald Allen Stephens, 55, of Trumann died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center of Jonesboro.
He was born in San Pedro, Calif., the son of Walter and Lavern Hogan Stephens. Mr. Stephens was a retired trucking company owner and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife, Wanda Stotts Stephens of the home; one daughter, Corie (David) Swarts of Mira Loma, Calif.; one son, Chad (Chris) Stephens of Nuevo, Cailf., two stepsons, John Tull and Spencer (Tiffany) Tull of Jonesboro; his mother, Lavern Hogan Stephens of Phelan, Calif.; two sisters, Loretta Winters of Phelan, Calif., and Janis (Ron) Soto of Laguna Hills, Calif.; one brother Ray (Patti) Stephens of Chico, Calif.; four grandchildren, Chad Kenmore Stephens, Cody Stephens, Makinzie Ogden and Makala Swarts.
Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral of Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
of Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stotts Jr., Rodney Stotts, Jay Haag, Gary Hogan, Toby Kelly and Danny Milliken.
Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Tull and John Tull.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. in Thompson Funeral Home at Trumann.
Larry Warren
KENNETT, Mo. — Larry Warren, 60, of Kennett, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 7, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kennett and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Diane Warren.
He is survived by one son, Bryan Warren of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Heather Warren of Kennett; two brothers, Don Warren and Wilton Warren, and one sister, Bonnie Warren, all of Lepanto; and one grandchild, Jaxson Warren.
Pallbearers will include Sam Goodrich, Rick Trainer, David Sheppard, Mike McComb, Kris Higgins and Jimmy Don Warren. Honorary pallbearers will include Gary Ryan, Tom Beaver, Carl Goodrich, Jimmy Rudd and Danny Langston.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday in Murphy Funeral Home with services beginning at 3 p.m. Jim Duffel will officiate.

Cynthia Jane Williams
ROSIE — Cynthia Jane Williams, 61, of Rosie died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1946, in Jackson, Miss., the daughter of Sydney Chandler and Elizabeth Keel Chandler. She graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, then attended Mississippi State College for Women for two years.
She received her bachelor’s degree from University of Arkansas where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She taught at Batesville High School in the 1970s and worked at the family owned Williams Equipment John Deere Store in Batesville.
She enjoyed helping on the farm, riding and taking care of the horses, gardening, reading, walking and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tommy Williams of Rosie; daughters, Elizabeth Haarberg of Franklin, Tenn., Maggie Miller of Batesville and Mary Ann Williams of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, George Chandler of Mobile, Ala., and Craig Chandler of Bartlesville, Okla.; sisters, Mary Lou Dobbs of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Ann Hurst of Largo, Fla.; and grandchildren, Heinrich, Margaret and Hazel Haarberg, all of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, John and Gertrude Keel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church at Batesville officiated by Jody Smotherman. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery
by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Active pallbearers will be Heath Carlton, Tommy Thompson, Dan Latham, Blue Riggan, George Chandler and Craig Chandler.
Honorary pallbearers will include employees of Williams Equipment and Williams Ranch

Cleve Neomi Brown
TRUMANN — Mrs. Cleve Neomi Brown, 89, of Trumann died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at the family residence in Trumann.
Mrs. Brown was born in Decatur, Ala., and had lived in Trumann the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Brown; one son, Theodore Brown; and five brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Brown and William Brown, both of Trumann; five daughters, Betty Stegall of Southaven, Miss., Janette Morales, Vivian Stracener and Carolyn Ford, all of Trumann, and Norma Ford of Brookland; one sister, Sybil Russell of Lepanto; 26 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann with the Rev. Murray Ray officiating. Burial will be in Potters Cemetery
at Lepanto.
Active pallbearers will be Mitchell Brown, Johnny Russell, Brian Brown, Michael Stracener, Ricky Brown and Danny Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will include Virgil Campbell and Darryl Brown.
Visitation will be from 5-8 this evening at Thompson Funeral Home.
Lynn Michie Conrad
JONESBORO — Lynn Michie Conrad, 93, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 9, at the home of her daughter-in-law following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michie Barber; and her husband, Dewey Conrad.
Mrs. Conrad served as the cook at Kindercare from 1970-78, then became the cook at The Children’s House Montessori School, serving for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Bernards Auxiliary and worked in the gift shop.
She is survived by a son and his wife, James O. and Pat Barber of Tyler, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Rosalie Barber of Jonesboro; four grandchildren and their spouses, Allyson and Dave Goodin of Wynne, Chris and Michelle Barber of Jonesboro, Robin and Mark Hallin of Tyler and Jackie and Jon Avery of Dallas; seven great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be sent to St. Bernards Hospice or St. Bernards Development Foundation, 915 Wilkins Ave., Jonesboro 72401.
A private family graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon at Cooter, Mo., under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
No visitation is planned.
