Nicholas Dion DiTata
JONESBORO — Nicholas Dion Thomas DiTata, 14, of Jonesboro died Saturday morning, Oct. 6, from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident at Jonesboro.
Born at Hot Springs, Nicholas moved to Jonesboro in 2002. He was an eighth grader in Jonesboro and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
Nicholas was a member of Craighead County Storm Chasers and was preceded in death by his grandparents: Janelle Bailey, William DiTata and Marie DiTata.
Survivors include his parents, Ritchy and Cheri DiTata of the home; three sisters, Bailey DiTata of the home and Jillian DiTata and Kirstin DiTata, both of Jonesboro; two brothers, Ritchy DiTata Jr. of Tuttle, Okla., and Branden DiTata of the home; two aunts, Tommi Jo Bailey of Hot Springs and Terri Bailey of Indiana; two uncles, Tony DiTata of Oklahoma City and Jerry and Pam DiTata of Ronkonkoma, New York.
Nicholas DiTata was a very strong-spirited young man. As a true Italian, he loved all women. He was very passionate about his family and especially close to his mother.
Nick had many goals and strong ambitions. He planned to serve our country and join the Marines as soon as he turned 18.
Nick shared his dad’s personality and great sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh at any time.
Nick loved all animals and nature. Nick would take in any dog he could. He loved being outside, which prompted his commitment to help save our planet.
He had a strong relationship with music, his favorite being rap.
Nick was a very compassionate person who could have accomplished many great things during his life. He was a great young man and will be loved and missed by many.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 in Emerson Memorial Chapel. There will be no visitation.
Harry Eugene Findley
JONESBORO — Harry Eugene Findley, 74, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, in NEA Medical Center at Jonesboro.
Born at Nettleton on Oct. 1, 1933, to Vernon H. and Lucille Smith Findley, he was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Jonesboro division of Riceland Foods for 35 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Craighead County Equalization Board. He enjoyed playing on the American Legion Senior Softball League. He attended First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
Survivors include his wife, June Webb Findley of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darren Findley and Kelly of Franklin, Tenn., and Alvin Stewart and Abigail of Jonesboro; three daughters, Stephanie Codara and husband Steve of Garland, Texas, April Stewart and Tonya McNeece and husband Michael, all of Jonesboro; and one sister, Doris Skora and husband Gene of Concord, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Findley; his father, Vernon Findley; stepmother, Thelma Findley; and three brothers, T.L. Findley, Paul Findley and Max Wainscott.
Pallbearers will include John Webb, James Webb, Tom Robert and Rick Wyatt.
Honorary pallbearers will include the American Legion Senior Softball Team, Jonesboro Kiwanis Club members and Riceland Food employees.
Visitation will be tonight from 5-8 in Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Dr. Bruce Tippet and Dr. Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

TUCKERMAN — Mr. J.C. Riley, 82, of Tuckerman died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007.
He retired after 33 years from Revere Copper and Brass (Norandal).
He was preceded in death by one son, James Carroll Riley; his parents, Oscar and Elsie (Goza) Riley; two brothers, Silas and Edward Riley; and two sisters, Imogene Milligan and Ruby Dean.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Barbara Riley; one son, Michael Riley of Tuckerman; one daughter, Susan Stewart and husband David of Trinity, Ala.; six grandchildren, Rachel and Chelsea Riley of Newport, Kaitlin and Hayley Stewart of Trinity and Brooke and Josh Riley of Tuckerman; six brothers, O.L. and Larry Riley of Newport and Charles, Alvis, Donald and Doyle Riley, all of Tuckerman; and one sister, Hilda Bradley of Tuckerman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday in the funeral home.

JONESBORO — William Smith, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at his residence in Jonesboro.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
C.M. Woodard
TRUMANN — Mr. C.M. Woodard, 83, of Monette died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at the family residence in Monette.
Born in Cardwell, Mo., he had lived in Monette seven years, having moved from Lake City. He was retired from the Singer Co. of Trumann and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mollie Woodard.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Woodard of the home; two daughters, Joyce Pollard of Lake City and Carolyn Sands of Rockford, Ill.; one son, Clarence Woodard of Jonesboro; four brothers, Daniel Baxter Woodard of Bono, Raven Albert Woodard of Trumann, Euklin Isaac Woodard of Long Beach, Calif., and Robert Charles Woodard of Lynn; one sister, Anita McAnich of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann with the Rev. Anthony Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery
under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Pallbearers will be Corey Miller, Joe Ed Weir, Bill Bonjour, Chris Bonjour, Michael Binkley and Trey Selby.
Visitation will be tonight from 5-7 in Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Willie Dallas Burns Jr.
MARKED TREE — Willie Dallas Burns Jr., 63, of Marked Tree died Monday, Oct. 8, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
He was born in Tyronza on Feb. 20, 1944, into the family of Willie Dallas Burns Sr. and Mollie Phillips Burns. He was a tree trimmer and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Burns of Jonesboro and Jeremy Gray of East Alton, Ill.; two brothers, Louis Burns of Jonesboro and Mervin Burns of Clearwater, Fla.; five sisters, Madeline Dunham of Black Oak, Vandy Kelly of Lansing, Mich., Louise Gibbs of Black Oak, Betty Burns of Marked Tree and Kathy Risenhoover of Pocahontas; a grandchild, Heaven Burns; and a former wife, Susie Burns of Marked Tree.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. in Church of God in Marked Tree with Patrick Tucker officiating.

ASH FLAT — Nancy Jane Claxton, 58, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007.
Survivors include her sons and their wives, Rusty and Charlotte Claxton and Nicholas and Nicole Claxton, all of Ash Flat; daughter, Melisa Oyler of Ash Flat; brother, Larry Hix of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Seth McCord, Erin McCord and Dakota Claxton, all of Ash Flat; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Qualls Funeral Home Chapel at Cave City with burial in Old Baptist Cemetery
at Ash Flat.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Shelby Jean Eddens
IMBODEN — Shelby Jean Eddens, 65, died at her home Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Eddens Sr.; son, Bernard Eddens Jr. of Imboden; three daughters, Loretta Swann of Old Davidsonville and Barbra Franks and Becky Anderson, both of Imboden; two brothers, Ray Daughhetee and Everett Milton, both of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Lit Kindrick of Poplar Bluff, Joann Ovitt of Wentzville, Mo., and Peggy Hasty of Brownsville, Ky., and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Imboden First Assembly of God Church with Michael Able officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kirby Cemetery
near Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be 5-8 this evening at McNabb Funeral Home.

JONESBORO — Lottie Zell Locke, 82, of Jonesboro, died Monday morning at Craighead County Nursing Center.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.
Alice B. Monteniszs
BONO — Alice B. Monteniszs, 53, of Bono, died Sunday evening at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She had lived most of her life in the Jonesboro-Bono area. She was a homemaker and member of Old Enterprise General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Venzenty “Shorty” Monteniszs of the home; sons, Ricky Monteniszs and Danny Monteniszs, both of Jonesboro; daughter, Tammy Monteniszs of Bono; sisters, Brenda Price of Jonesboro, Barbara Davis of Houston, Texas, Nancy Simmons of Batesville and Doris Thatcher of Lake Jackson, Texas; and grandson, Brett Austin Monteniszs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bee and Maggie Dennis Price; and brother, Jim Eakes.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Cemetery
with Butch Parks officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Shorty Monteniszs, Ricky Monteniszs, Danny Monteniszs, D.J. Reece, Roger Nelson, Rick Nelson and Brett Austin Monteniszs.
There will be no visitation.
