Laquetta Joyce Miller
MONETTE — Laquetta Joyce Miller, 55, died Sept. 30, 2007, at Monette Manor.
Survivors include her mother, Mildred Wright; two daughters, Nancy Spencer and Shelly Miller; two sisters, Connie Maki and Patricia Wright; two brothers, Delbert Wright and James Wright; and two grandchildren, Beau Weeks and Payton Spencer.
The family will have a private service.
William Charles Miller
GREENWAY — William Charles Miller, 82, of Greenway died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Piggott Community Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Irby Funeral Home of Piggott.
Carvin George Whelchel
PARAGOULD — Carvin George Whelchel, 83, of Paragould, formerly of Marmaduke, died Sunday.
Survivors include six children, Carl “Donnie” Whelchel, Mark Whelchel, Butch Whelchel, Tim Whelchel, Linda Brady and Teresa Duke. He is also survived by two brothers; two sisters; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel at Paragould, with Edgar Humphrey and Clarence Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-9 in the funeral home.
Len Becker
JONESBORO — Len Becker, 57, of Jonesboro died Sunday morning from injuries sustained in a 1-vehicle accident near Tyronza.
Born in Memphis, Len lived several years in the Memphis area before moving to Jonesboro five years ago. He worked in home construction and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orin L. Becker, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Myrl Becker of Jonesboro; one daughter, Tina Hall of Dallas; two sisters, Ellen Sauerbier of Chicago and Mary Anne Walk of Madison, N.J.; and one grandson, Christian Hall.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday mor-ning at 11 in Potter Memorial Cemetery
at Lepanto with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
Russell Wayne Bowden
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — Russell Wayne Bowden, 54, of Leavenworth died Sept. 26, 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Christy Mausen (Brad); stepson, John Logan Jr. (Victoria); stepdaughter, Rachel Logan (LaRone); stepfather, Elmer Parish; stepbrothers, Jeff and Keith Parish; mother-in-law, JoAnne Wiesedeppe; sisters, Sandra Gail, Diane Elmer and Kim Heathman; and five stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Belden-Larkin Funeral Home of Leavenworth with inurnment at a later time as cremation has been effected.
Arrangements are with Belden-Larkin Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Kenneth Eugene Brewer
OSCEOLA — Kenneth Eugene Brewer, 55, of Osceola died Saturday in Blytheville. He was a member of Holy Full Deliverance of Blytheville and was factory worker.
Survivors include his sisters, Shirley Hughes, Beverly Golliday and Debra Smith, all of St. Louis, Patricia Phillips of Cahokia, Ill., and Vickie Sims of Belleville, Ill.; brothers, Spencer and Dwayne Brewer, both of Omaha, Neb., and Stanley and Barry Brewer, both of East St. Louis.
Visitation will be Friday in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at Osceola from 9-11 a.m. until time of service with interment in Whiteside Cemetery.

Rodney Keith Elrod
JONESBORO — Mr. Rodney Keith Elrod, 52, of Jonesboro died Monday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Lepanto, he had lived in Jonesboro for the past five years and had lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a former employee for Poinsett County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elex “Buddy” and Ora Jean Moran Elrod.
Survivors include a son, Bryan, and wife Robyn Elrod of Trumann; special friend, Lana Goodman of Jonesboro; four sisters, Marsha Williams of Harrisburg, Judy Begley of Hardy and Kim Taylor and Robin Pipkin, both of Trumann; three brothers, Skippy Elrod of Palestine, Texas, Gordan Elrod and Paul Elrod, both of Trumann; and two grandchildren, Austyn Elex and Ryder-Chase Elrod.
Graveside services will be Thursday afternoon at 2 in Bolivar Cemetery
in Harrisburg. Burial will be under direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 1:30 p.m. in Thompson Funeral Home.

PARAGOULD — Jackie G. Henderson, 42, of Paragould passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

TRUMANN — Ronnie Paul Howard, 32, passed away Sunday.
He is survived by his daughter, Katlyn Howard of Bono; father, Joe Howard Jr. of Trumann; mother, Betty Nelson of Pocahontas; brothers, Bobby and Joe Howard III, both of Pocahontas, Steve Howard of Trumann, Nathan Nelson of Pocahontas and Anthony Jackson of Paragould.
Graveside service will be Thursday in Holly Springs Cemetery
at Harrisburg at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time.

Tifany Lynn Leeling
BONNE TERRE, Mo. — Tifany Lynn Leeling, infant daughter of Bruce and Sherry Leeling, passed away Friday in St. Louis.
She is survived by her parents; three brothers, Preston, Brandon and Aaron Leeling of the home; a sister, Amanda Leeling of the home; grandparents, Richard and Geneva Cseak of Bonne Terra, Mo.; and grandfather, Dewey Johnson of Pocahontas.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, D.L. and Ruth Tucker.
Graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. in Masonic Cemetery
at Pocahontas with Al Feezor officiating. McNabb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Shelly D’nae Martin
Jonesboro — Shelly D’nae Martin, 43, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at her residence.
She was born in Leachville and was a charter member of the Windover Baptist Church and a secretary with the Jonesboro Human Development Center.
She is survived by her parents, Troy and Wanda Sue Martin; a daughter, Amanda Nichole Martin; one sister, Diana Keith of Jonesboro; and two nieces, Rachael Keith and Leah Keith, both of Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Wada Martin and Robert and Frances Wooten.
A celebration of her life will be held with a graveside service in Monette Memorial Cemetery, Thursday, at 10 a.m. with Dr. Winford Bridges officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Visitation will held in Windover Baptist Church today from 6-8 p.m.

GREENWAY — Services for 82-year-old William C. “Bill” Miller of Greenway,who died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Piggott Community Hospital, will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Irby Funeral Home Chapel at Piggott.
Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery
at Greenway.
Visitation will be Thursday in the chapel beginning at 6 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Margery Miller of the home; son, John David Miller of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter, Karen Lynn Pilarski of Lapeer, Fla.; stepson, Mike Cook and wife Pat of Piggott; stepdaughter, Pam Chin of Hanford, Calif.; nieces; nephews; and a number of other family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Reba “Dowdy” Miller, and son, William Charles Miller Jr.
