BLYTHEVILLE — Mary Frances Wood, 59, of Blytheville died Thursday.
She leaves her husband, Bobby Allen Wood and grandson, Joshua McCain of the home; son, Joseph Wood (Shea) and daughter, Audrey Poston (Frank), all of Gosnell, and daughter, Anita David (Gerard) of Armorel; sisters, Ann Oaks (Frank) and Glenda Leviner (Larry), both of Alabama, Lynn Taylor of Tennessee and Ceila Whitenton (Gene) of Paragould; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bettie Terrie of Steele, Mo.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery
at Kennett, Mo.
Billy Jack Barnes
POCAHONTAS — Billy Jack Barnes, 77, passed away Friday at his home.
He was born in Biggers to the late Bill and Beulah Irene (Jackson) Barnes.
He was preceded by his wife, Maxine Marie (Pendergrass) Barnes and a son, Micheal Gale Pendergrass.
He is survived by son, Bryan Gene Barnes and wife, Barbara, of Pocahontas; two grandsons, Nick Barnes of Pocahontas and Phillip Pendergrass of Indiana; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Cleta Ann (Sue) Stockwell, Caroll (Bunk) Barnes, Shirley Griffin, Douglas (Windy) Barnes and Betty Jane Ward, all of Pocahontas; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Tony Barnes, Rick Meeks, Tommy Stockwell, Josh Stockwell, David Clay and Ronnie Stockwell, all of Pocahontas. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Ray Johnson of Cherokee Village and Randy Meeks of Pocahontas.
Visitation will be tonight, 6-8, at the McNabb Funeral Home.
Services will be Monday at the funeral home’s chapel with burial to follow at Randolph Memorial Gardens with Nelson Henderson officiating and 
military rites provided by Promberger-Traw Post 4556 of Foreign Wars.
Leda Marie Collier
PARAGOULD — Leda Collier, 61, of Paragould, formerly of Marmaduke, died Sept. 27 at her residence after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Leda was born on Jan. 1, 1946, to Wolford and Beulah Henson. She was married in 1966 to Charles Collier and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a retired teacher of Marmaduke and belonged to Marmaduke Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Lydia Roberts and Lillian Johnson.
Leda is survived by her husband, Charles Collier of Paragould; two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Steve Lovell of Paragould and Mandy and Brian Mansdoerfer of Franklinville, N.J.; three grandchildren, Winnie and Emma Lovell and Maggie Mansdoerfer; one brother, Ted Henson of Fresno, Calif.; one sister and husband, Lyndall and A.D. Reynolds of Marmaduke; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 at the Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke. Interment will be at Harvey’s Chapel.
Visitation will be Monday night, 6-9, at the chapel also.
Linda Diane Flinn
WALNUT RIDGE — Linda Diane Flinn, 53, of Ravenden Springs, died Saturday at Five Rivers Medical Center.
A homemaker and a Baptist, she is survived by her husband, Ferrell Flinn; daughters, Bobbie Lee Liles and Robbie Trawick; a son, Ferrell Ross Flinn Jr.; and a sister, Martha “Shelia” Davis, all of Ravenden Springs; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery
near Lynn.
Visiatation will be Monday night, 5:30-8, at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Willa Howard
JONESBORO — Willa Howard, 93, of Jonesboro died Saturday morning at Skilcare Nursing Center.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.
Viola Ingram
BAY — Viola Ingram, 91, of Bay died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Tupelo, Miss., on Dec. 5, 1915, she was the daughter of Theodore and Ella Tucker Simpson.
She was retired from the Shake Shop in Bay, a member of the Assembly of God in Bay and attended First Assembly in Trumann.
Survivors included seven sons, Edward Ingram of Trumann, James Ingram of Bay, Larry Ingram of Nashville, Doyle Ingram of Klein, Texas, Jerry Ingram of Claremore, Okla., Terry Ingram of Piedmont, Ala., and Arlon Ingram of Trumann; two daughters, Irene Jones and Dianne Book, both of Jonesboro; sister, Beatrice Pitts of Tryonza; 42 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Ingram Sr., three sons, two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one step-grandson.
Funeral services will be at Langford-Bookout Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, 5-7, at the funeral home.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Rev. Dorris Kerby
OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — The Rev. Dorris Kerby, 88, left his earthly life to shout all over God’s heaven at 6:53 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.
He retired as a union pipefitter and welder in the construction industry in 1985. He was a member of UA Local 136 of Evansville for 40 years. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Distinguished Service Award. He was a member of American Legion Post 256 at Oakland City.
He was ordained as a minister in 1977 and served as a part-time evangelist and interim pastor from 1977 to 2000. He was a member of Mackey Church of the Nazarene in Mackey, Ind. He served on the board of directors for Doulos Family Services in Princeton, Ind., for seven years.
Additionally, he was an accomplished custom quilt designer and maker, having produced hundreds of special quilts, some of which are in foreign countries.
He was born in Bogota, Ill., to Edgar James Kerby and Katie Cravens Kerby on Oct. 4, 1919. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eldon and Allen Kerby.
The Rev. Kerby is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lucille Martin Kerby of Oakland City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Beverly) Kerby of Rockford, Ill., and Raymond (Linda) Kerby of Phoenix; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myrna (Randy) Lemmons of Oakland City and Marilyn (Cleatus) Jones of Mount Vernon, Ind., and an adopted son and daughter-in-law Mike (Gina) Jones of Owensville, Ind.
He is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Snider and Kathy Wood, both of Snohomish, Wash., 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of very special close friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, in McNabb Funeral Home at Pocahontas from noon until 2 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bill L. Reed, pastor of Mackey Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens at Pocahontas with military rites provided of Promberger-Traw Post 4556 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and nephews as honorary pallbearers.

Charles Woods Welch
PARAGOULD — Charles “Bully” Woods Welch, 84, of Paragould died Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
He was born June 11, 1923, in Jacksboro County, Texas, the son of the late Marion Charles and Bertha Francis Garner Welch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Titus Welch, and sister, Drusilla Bowlin Ward.
He was a farmer in the Stanford community, a Navy World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion and a member of Commissary Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen Welch of the home; sisters, Talmadge Billingsley of Jonesboro, Irwauna Haun of Mountain Home, Lenora Smith of Paragould, Marian Alice Mangrum of Jonesboro and June Harvill of Paragould; brother, Maurice Welch of Stanford; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 Monday night at the Heath Funeral Home.
His life will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Phil Wilkerson and Darrell Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Commissary Church of Christ or the Children’s Home of Paragould.
Henry Rayburn Dye Sr.
April 26, 1941 - Sept. 27, 2007
ROCKFORD, Ill. — Henry Rayburn Dye Sr., 66, of Rockford died Thursday.
He was born in Egypt to Earl and Mildred Craig Dye.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Haynes Dye; four sons, Henry Jr., Tommy, Lee and Donnie; one daughter, Cynthia Dye, all of Rockford; three brothers; one sister; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Caraway Cemetery
at Caraway.
Vistation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon in Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
Charles Clay Hall
PORTIA — Charles Clay Hall, 84, died Sunday, Sept. 30, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
A member of the Church of Christ, he was a retired Teamster employee of the Cadillac Motor Division of General Motors. Born in Powhatan, he moved to Portia from Detroit.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia; son, Bob; and brother, Paul.
Survivors include sons, Charles C. Hall Jr. of Smithville and Ronnie W. Hall of West Memphis; brother, Brooks of Jonesboro; sister, Glenda Willis of Indiana; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge with Robert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Powhatan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
