BILLIE LOFTICE

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Billie Wayne Loftice, 78, of Nashville died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Loftice was born May 25, 1925, in Collin County, Texas. He was retired from GE, Houston, co - owner of Loftice Peach Orchard, a former member of Nashville Lions Club, Arkansas Cattleman's Association and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and former president of the XYZ club,

Survivors include his wife, Jean Thomas Loftice of Nashville; two sons and daughters - in - law, Billy Dwayne and Kelly Loftice of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ron and Anna Loftice of New Hope, Ark.; one brother, Don Loftice of Wylie, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Hamilton of Royce City, Texas, Melba Emmons of Plano, Texas, and Pat Hatfield of Wylie; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Nashville First Baptist Church with David Blasé officiating. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery under direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

DANIEL STONECIPHER

INDEPENDENCE, Kan. - Daniel E. "Dan" Stonecipher, 68, of Independence died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Stonecipher was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Independence. He was a former teacher at Parsons High School, Parsons, Kan., and Texas High School, Texarkana, a tennis coach, a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Independence, and a participant in the Oklahoma Freewheel.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Sava Stonecipher of Independence; two sons, Eric Stonecipher of Kiev, Ukraine, and Jorn Stonecipher of El Paso, Texas; four daughters, Danna Stonecipher of Las Vegas, Dianne Stonecipher of Dallas, Delaine Hall of Wichita, Kan., and Dawn Hungerford of Rio Rancho, N.M.; one stepson, Jeff Russo of St. Cloud, Fla.; one sister, Patricia Shipley of Arlington, Wash.; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Mahn Thapwa officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Arrangements under direction of Potts Chapel Funeral Home.

Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Keith Worthington Chapter, ALS Association.

OTIS HALL

IDABEL, Okla. - Otis T. Hall, 93, of Idabel died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in Idabel.

Mr. Hall was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Gillham, Ark. He was a former employee of the state forestry services and CCC Camp, owner of Hendrix Insurance Co., election board secretary, member of Idabel First Baptist Church and a decorated World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Huckabee, in 1995; and one son, Bill Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Hall of Idabel; two stepdaughters, Claudette Holmes of Hochatown, Okla., and Rae Neil Gibbs of Royse City, Texas; one brother, Ray Hall of Dallas; three sisters - in - law, Helen Fortner of Cove, Ark., Ella Kulczewski of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Frankye Mattingly of Jacksonville, Ark.; four stepgrandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services were Feb. 24 at Idabel First Baptist Church.

Arrangements were under direction of Norwood - Coffey - Leonard Funeral Home.

DELLA BUCK

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Della J. Henderson Buck, 61, of Nashville died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in a De Queen, Ark., nursing home.

Mrs. Henderson was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Tollette, Ark. She was a former employee of Poulan and a member of Central Baptist Church, Mineral Springs, Ark.

Survivors include one son, Jim E. Buck of Mineral Springs; three brothers, Bobby Henderson of Hope, Ark., Delmer Henderson Jr. of Nashville and Edward Henderson of Mineral Springs; one sister, Jenene Coleman of Mishawaka, Ind.; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Mineral Springs Cemetery with Coy Zumwalt officiating. Burial will be under direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

DAVID McANALLY

De QUEEN, Ark. - David Smith McAnally, 98, of De Queen died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mr. McAnally was born April 5, 1905, in Rising Star, Texas. He was treasurer and assistant vice president of D&ETO&E Railroad, a charter member of De Queen Lions Club and a member of First United Methodist Church and Crusader Class.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Lowery McAnally of De Queen; one daughter and son - in - law, Charlotte and Bob Harrell of West Monroe, La.; one brother - in - law and sister - in - law, Verneil and Lillian Lowrey; one sister - in - law, Velma Dell Hansen; one granddaughter and grandson - in - law, Lisa and Chris Salter; one grandson and granddaughter - in - law, Robert and Kelly Harrell; four great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Fish officiating. Burial will be in Redmen Cemetery.

WILLIAM SPRINGFIELD

HOPE, Ark. - William H. Springfield, 72, of Hope died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mr. Springfield was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Sebree, Ky. He was a retired radio operator for the City of Hope.

Survivors include his wife, Efie Pearl Dudney Springfield; one daughter, Linda Smith; and one stepson, Don Shelton.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Herndon Funeral Home.

MINNIE COX

Minnie M. Cox of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at her home.

Arrangements are pending with Jones Funeral Home.

BOBBY WILHITE

NASHVILLE, Ark. - Bobby Dale Wilhite, 83, of Texarkana died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Wilhite was born April 4, 1920, in Nashville. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Wilhite of Texarkana and Lonnie Wilhite of Vinton, La.; one brother, Bill Wilhite of Louisiana; two sisters, Rita Ray of Little Rock and Sybil Wilhite of New Mexico; two grandchildren; and three great - grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Sardis Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

GEORGE REED

De QUEEN, Ark. - George Edward Reed, 77, of Arden, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Reed was born June 6, 1926, in Foreman, Ark. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and a member of First Assembly of God Church, Foreman, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Miller Reed; two sons, Eddie Reed and Frank Reed Sr. of Ashdown, Ark.; one daughter, Anita Turner of Virginia; one brother, Henry Flood of Ashdown; five grandchildren, Julie Reed, Jessica Reed, Frank Reed Jr., Jennifer Siler and Lillian Smitty; and one great - grandson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Foreman First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Arden Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

IRENE AVERY

Irene Avery, 85, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Avery was born July 23, 1918, in Zwolle, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Avery.

Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Charles and Ann Avery of Texarkana; one daughter, Joyce George of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters and one brother - in - law, Inez Reed and Ozell and Jack McGee of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Jo Ellen Bell of Greensboro, John George of Charlotte, N.C., and Randy Avery and Terri Whitley of Texarkana; seven great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services were Feb. 23 at Faith Baptist Church with the Revs. James Ross and Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial was in East Memorial Gardens under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

The family will be at the Charles Avery residence, 621 Hargrove Rd., Texarkana, Ark., off Highway 237.

Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 2812 East Street, Texarkana, Ark., 71854, or Hospice of Texarkana, 803 Spruce St., Texarkana, Texas, 75501.

ERNESTINE PATE

De QUEEN, Ark. - Ernestine Griffin Roberts Pate, 73, of Dierks, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, in Little Rock.

Mrs. Pate was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Dierks. She was a retired nurse and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Butch Roberts and Bobby Lynn Roberts of Gillham, Ark., and Bruce Allen pate of Dierks; two daughters, Deborah Smith of New Hope, Ark., and Anita Kaye Pate of Dierks; three brothers, Ches Griffin and Gerral Griffin of Dierks and Donnie Griffin of De Queen; two sisters, Pat Alexander and Helen Lightfoot of Dierks; 14 grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Dierks Cemetery with the Rev. J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial will be under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Paul Arthur Herrington, 76, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Herrington was born June 26, 1927, in Texarkana, Texas. He was self - employed and a member of Lowell Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Herrington of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter - in - law, Charles and Rose Ann Herrington and Paul Alan Herrington of Texarkana; one daughter and son - in - law, Brenda and Wayne Smith of Havana, Fla.; one brother, Grover Herrington of Texarkana; four grandchildren; and two great - grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home Chapel, downtown. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
