Joann Bryant
Paragould — Patricia Joann Bryant of Paragould was born on Dec. 20, 1940, and died on Sept. 9, 2007, at the age of 66.
She graduated from Kennett High School and in her lifetime she was a seamstress, wife, mother and a well-respected travel agent. She was an active member of Center Hill Church of Christ. She was a good mother, friend and a good person. She was a “soul unbreakable.”
She was the wife of a preacher with whom she had three children, Duane Bryant and Jennifer Lewis, both of Paragould, and Tami Jo Jones of Cherry Valley. She has five grandchildren; Brittany Bryant, Aden Lewis, Cody Lewis, Cameron Simmermon and Logan Simmermon. She has one sister, Deronda Woods, and one brother, Jerry Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Florene Marshall.
Her family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today in Center Hill Church of Christ at Paragould. Her life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Center Hill Church of Christ with Eric Bryant and Micah Brinkley officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Heath Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of arrangements.
Judy D. Duck
Whitton — Judy D. Duck, 61, of Whitton passed away at her residence Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007.
She taught at Wilson Middle School and was retired after 28 years. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree.
A celebration of her life will be held today at 3 p.m. in Roller-Citizens Funeral Home at West Memphis with interment in Crittenden Memorial Park of Marion.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Duck of Whitton; two sons, Lance A. Duck (Kristie) of Harrison and Brian K. Duck of Whitton; one sister, Jane Terry of Whitton; two brothers, Lindsay Chandler of Whitton and Wallace Chandler of West Memphis; a grandchild, Halie Duck; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Linzy and Sarah Chandler, and brother, David Chandler.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Della Green
ROCKPORT, Texas — Della Green, 87, of Rockport, Texas, formerly of St. Francis, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007.
Survivors include her son, Herman H. Green Jr. and his wife Harvette of Rockport; one grandson, Bryon Allen Green and wife Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Marissa; one sister, Clarence Rodery of Roswell, N.M.; two brothers, George Fry of Farmington, Mo., and Robert Fry of Piggott.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Stanfield Cemetery
at Clarkton, Mo. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be this evening at 6.
Larry Wayne Heard
Jonesboro — After a brave 15-month battle with cancer, Larry Wayne Heard, 53, passed away at his residence in Jonesboro Sunday night, Sept. 9, 2007.
He was born in Jonesboro. He worked as a printer for Quebecor World Press in Jonesboro and attended Windover Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Amber Heard and Misty Kinder and her husband Jason, all of Jonesboro; four brothers, Leonard Heard and Robert Heard, both of Trumann, Ronnie Heard of Tampa, Fla., and Terry Heard of Jonesboro; and his friend and mother of his children, his ex-wife Debra Heard of Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Katherine Heard.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Dr. Winfred Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bob Hoskins, Brian Heard, Robert Heard, Terry Heard, Scott Heard, Leonard Heard and Ronnie Heard.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. in the Orchid Room at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The family requests lasting memorials be considered to the Hospice of Jonesboro.
Pauline Horner
BAY VILLAGE — Mrs. Pauline Horner, 91, of Bay Village died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Horner is survived by one son, Wilburn Horner Jr.; one brother, Ray Hooper of Bay Village; one sister, Maurice Thompson of Doniphan, Mo.; two grandchildren, Paul Horner and wife Denise, Heather Copeland and husband James; and four great-grandchildren, Lannah, Alex, Mackenzie and Langdon.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Horner officiating. Interment will be in Bay Village Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.

Larry Jones
MALVERN — Larry Jones, 62, of Malvern, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Hot Springs Medical Center in Malvern.
He was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Powhatan to Carson and Julie Malissie Herring Jones. He was a bull rider at rodeos and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include an aunt, Flora Mae Herring of Hoxie, and several cousins.
Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery
under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

OSCEOLA — Lawrence Arnette Lane Jr., 24, of Osceola died Sept. 6, 2007.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Lawrence Sr. and Flossie Lane, and mother and stepfather, Marie and Bennie Jacobs, all of Osceola; sisters, Sonya Lane of Pine Bluff, Carmen Lane of Michigan and Monica Jenkins of Georgia; brother, Shaquille Lane of Osceola; fiancée and stepdaughter Marquita and Jillian Reed of Wilson, respectively; and grandmother, Mary Alice Lane of Osceola.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Grace Temple M.B. Church at Osceola with burial in Whiteside Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening from 5-7 at Wilson Funeral Home.
Anthony Michael Lavergne
IMBODEN — Anthony Michael Lavergne, infant son of Kevin and Anna Laky Lavergne, died Friday.
A grandmother, Bonnie Marts; and a great-grandfather, Ernest Vanderver preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Bret and Tammy Bolton of Ravenden Springs and Scott Lavergne of Williford; and great-grandparents, Carolyn Vanderver of Imboden and Junior and Pat McQuay of Attica.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesser Cemetery.
Hubert Lindsey
CAVE CITY — Hubert Lindsey, 66, of Cave City died Sept. 9, 2007, at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was the son of Roe and Nola Mae Gifford Lindsey and a retired timber worker.
Survivors include his son, David Lindsey of Cave City; daughter, Ada Yancey of Cave City; brothers, Junior Lindsey of Cave City, Calvin Lindsey of Evening Shade and Gene Lindsey of Pfeiffer; sister, Royce Reding of Sidney; and granddaughter, Lacy Dawn Yancey of Cave City.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. in Maxville Cemetery
north of Cave City under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home.
Phyllis Ann Phillips
WALNUT RIDGE — Phyllis Ann Phillips, 65, died Sunday.
She is survived by her children, Tammi Simmons of Hoxie, Terry Phillips of Black Rock and Todd Phillips of Walnut Ridge; a brother, Jerry Chesser; a sister, Dorothy Chesser; and four grandsons.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Hoxie Church of Christ with A.J. Stracener officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Bobby ‘Shane’ Pilgram
BLYTHEVILLE — Bobby “Shane” Pilgram, 27, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, in Great River Medical Center at Blytheville.
Born Jan. 23, 1980, at Jonesboro to Ronnie Pilgram and Judith Darlene Gaylord Crickenberger, Mr. Pilgram was a longtime area resident, farmer and enjoyed spending time with his children.
Survivors include his companion of 10 years and mother of Brett and Andrea, Devin Taylor of Blytheville; parents, Ronnie Pilgram of Gosnell and Darlene Crickenberger and husband Steve of Ottawa, Kan.; two sons, Brett Pilgram of Blytheville and Hunter Pilgram of Dyess; one daughter, Andrea Pilgram of Blytheville; one brother, Mark Hill of Jonesboro; one stepbrother, Matt Hill of Cabot; one stepsister, Amy Padres of Jonesboro; and one grandfather, William Pilgram of Osceola.
Mr. Pilgram was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Bethel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of Osceola with the Rev. Bobby Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Marie Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors today from 6-8 p.m. in Bethel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
