HOPE, Ark. - Alfa Grant Greene, 88, of Hope died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Greene was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Rosston, Ark. She was a homemaker, a grocery store owner and a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weston Greene; and one daughter, Patricia Ann Greene.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, John and Kathryn Green of Lufkin, Texas; one daughter and son - in - law, Betty and Harold Jameson of Magnolia, Ark.; two sisters - in - law, Mary Grant of Texarkana and Virginia Kennedy of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren; eight great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Sayers officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Prescott, Ark.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
DOROTHY TOWNSEND
STAMPS, Ark. - Dorothy Lavada Townsend, 77, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, March 5, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mrs. Townsend was born Jan. 1, 1927, in Texarkana.
Survivors include her husband, Oba Townsend of Texarkana; four sons, Melvin Jeane of Burleson, Texas, and David Jeane, Jerry Jeane and Royce Townsend of Texarkana; three daughters, Betty Shields of Hillsborough, Texas, and Peggy Gore and Joyce Reed of Texarkana; one sister, Carrie Corie of Nederland, Texas; one great - aunt, Carrie West of Texarkana; 16 grandchildren; 15 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mandeville Baptist Church with the Revs. James Lindsey and Allen Peoples officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the church.

DIAN GARRETT
Dian Garrett, 62, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, March 1, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Garrett was born May 19, 1941, in McCaskill, Ark. She was retired from Texarkana, Ark., School District and a member of County Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Greg Garrett.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Garrett of Texarkana; three sons, Tony Payne and Eric Payne of Texarkana and Matthew Payne of Denver; one daughter, Dana Payne of Atlanta; two stepsons, Keith Garrett of Texarkana and Randy Garrett of Little Rock; one stepdaughter, Terry Thomas of Texarkana; one sister, Brenda Robbins of Vilonia, Ark.; one brother, Benny Culpepper of Nashville, Ark; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at County Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Ozan Cemetery, Bingen, Ark., under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.

TOMMY MOSIER
HOPE, Ark. - Tommy Mosier, 59, of Hope died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Mosier was born Oct. 14, 1944, in Hope. He was a retired school administrator and a member of Theta Zi Fraternity, First United Methodist Church and Century Bible Class.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter - in - law, Chris Mosier of New York City and Cody and Gara Mosier of Huntsville, Ark.; his mother, Mina Marie Mosier of Hope; and two grandchildren, Maggie Mosier and Quade Mosier of Huntsville.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Westmoreland Cemetery, Fulton, Ark., with the Revs. Larry Ott and William Tyler officiating. Burial will be under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Maxine Carpenter, 87, of Fredericksburg, Va., died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Carpenter was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Rosston, Ark. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred M. Carpenter.
Survivors include one son, Phillip McConnell of Owingsville, Ky.; one brother, Claude Bustion of Hooks, Texas; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Red Lick Cemetery
with the Rev. Danny Barrett officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

STAMPS, Ark. - Davis Foster, 85, of Lewisville, Ark., died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Foster was born March 17, 1918, in Sardis, Ark. He was a retired oil field worker.
Survivors include his wife, Myra Virginia Foster of Lewisville; two daughters, Shirley Gibson and Debbie Huckabee of Lewisville; one son, Davis Michael Foster of Lewisville; two sisters, Ann Storar of San Antonio and Doris Landes of California; five grandchildren; and five great - grandchildren.

HOPE, Ark. - Noranzo Armstrong, 86, of Nashville, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in a Nashville hospital.
Mrs. Armstrong was born March 31, 1917, in East Point, Ga. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred D. Armstrong.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews, including Rufus Conley and Susie Conley of Little Rock and Betty Davis of Nashville.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nashville First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Shorter Cemetery, Blevins, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family will be at the Betty Davis and Susie Conley residence, 1079 S. Pope, Apartment 98, Nashville.

Dorothy Ann Davidson Rispoli, 77, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Rispoli was born July 22, 1926, in Frisco, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Ark. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Antonia J. Rispoli.
Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Rispoli of Texarkana; one daughter and son - in - law, Joanna and Garland Kimmel of Texarkana; one sister, Dorris Kimmel of Fayetteville, Ark.; two grandsons, Matthew Wade Kimmel of Texarkana and Chad Anthony Kimmel of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.

Valerie Ward Eunice, 66, of Ashdown, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Eunice was born Nov. 10, 1937, in Texarkana, Ark. She was retired from National Oil Well, a member of Twice as Nice Quilt Group, Farm Bureau Home Extension and a member of the Non - Denominational Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Ross.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Eunice of Ashdown; one daughter, Linda Vermillion of Winnsboro, Texas; one son, Patrick Ross of Canton, Texas; one stepson, Michael Eunice of Ashdown; one stepdaughter, Wendy Eunice of Spring, Texas; two sisters, Marion Bateman and Mary Long of Texarkana; two brothers, David Ward of Morgan City, Texas and Phillip Ward of Wasilla, Alaska; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua - Everett Memorial Chapel with Billy Condrey officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
