jonesboro -- Freeda Herndon Toy, 84, of Jonesboro died Monday, June 12, 2006, at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro.
She was a retired teacher and member of First Assembly of God Church at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Toy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Herndon; eight brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Vada Vanburen of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Christine Herndon of Lepanto; one stepson, Jay Toy; one stepdaughter-in-law, Carolyn Toy; a granddaughter, Teresa Toy of Batesville; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Lepanto with the Rev. Joe Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery
at Lepanto with Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Mary Evelyn Wing
RAVENDEN SPRINGS -- Mary Wing, 59, of Ravenden Springs died Sunday at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Peterson of Ravenden Springs and Staff Sgt. Jerry Wing of Waynesville, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Charlotte Dotson of Hoxie; two stepsons, Jesse Wing Jr. and Michael Wing, both of Jonesboro; one brother, Bud Robinson of Greenwood; two sisters, Katherine Wallace of Torrance, Calif., and Delores Ann Joli of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. Cremation is under the direction of Cox-Waymon Funeral Home of Pocahontas.

JONESBORO -- Hettie White, 96, of Jonesboro died Monday, June 12, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK -- Verna Marie-Newcom Alls, 85, died June 21, 2006.
Born Oct. 30, 1920, at Calamine to Ellen C. and Marshall Hoggard, Alls is preceded in death by husbands L.L. Newcom, Walnut Ridge, and Charley F. Alls, Jonesboro; and three brothers.
Survivors include seven children, numerous grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Harley Hoggard of Jonesboro.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday in Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, NLR.
Chapel services are 10 a.m. Monday.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Monday in Ward Cemetery, Strawberry.
Eldon Anderson
WILSON -- Eldon Burnit Anderson, Jr., 58, died June 22, 2006, in SMC Regional Medical Center at Osceola.
Anderson was born in Dyess on Oct. 2, 1947.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Colburn of Wilson; one son, Billy Anderson of Blytheville; two sisters, Ruby Covington of Keiser and Judy Leveritt of Tipton County, Tenn.; one brother, L.D. Anderson of Osceola; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today in Wilson Funeral Home at Osceola. Todd Vinson will officiate graveside services at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bassett Cemetery
at Bassett.
Alberta Bell
WALNUT RIDGE -- Alberta Hooper Bell, 94, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Fontaine, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Alberta was born in Hornsby, Tenn., to William and Mary Jane Cupples Hooper on Sept. 20, 1911. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fontaine Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William A. "Bill" Lee and Shelba Jean Lee, both of Fontaine; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Alberta was preceded in death by her two husbands, Clyde Lee and Jimmy Bell; a son, David Eugene Lee; 12 brothers and sisters; two grandsons and a granddaughter and a great-great- grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Langford-Bookout funeral chapel with the Rev. Marion Stringer officiating. Burial will be in the Lorado Cemetery
in Lorado.
Great-grandchildren Burt Lee, Keith Lee, Shannon Lee, Chris Nelson, Bradley Nelson, Kimberly Lee and Deborah Smith will honor their great-grandmother by serving as active pallbearers.
The family will be receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

WILSON -- Linda Brewer, 60, of Wilson died Thursday, June 22, 2006.
She is survived by her husband, Earnest Brewer of Wilson; sons, Martin L. Abner of Joiner, Eric L. Abner of Charleston, S.C., Kenneth Bryan Abner of Florida and Clint W. Abner of Joiner; daughters, Tosha G. Pennington of Southaven, Miss., and Dianna L. Christian of Horn Lake, Miss; 10 grandchildren; mother, Una Franks White of Blytheville; and brother, Roy White of Keiser.
Funeral service is 10 this morning at Roller-Swift with the Rev. Joe Thompson officiating and burial following in Bassett Cemetery.
Peggy Burrows
FORREST CITY -- Mrs. Peggy Diane Hosman Burrows, age 57, of Forrest City died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at the Forrest City Medical Center. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
Mrs. Burrows was born June 8, 1949, in Marked Tree. She was the daughter of Jack Hosman and Melovie Skinner Hosman. Mrs. Burrows was a teacher with the Forrest City Public Schools and was a Sunday school teacher and member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Burrows married David Fay Burrows in 1968. He survives, along with a son, Davey F. Burrows Jr. of Forrest City; three daughters, Jackie D. Burrows Wallace and husband, Shane of Jonesboro, Jill A. Burrows Levine and husband, Richard of Atlanta and Jodi D. Burrows of Forrest City; her mother, Melovie Hosman of Marked Tree; two brothers, Melvin "Buddy" Hosman and wife, Donnita of Jonesboro and Larry "Shorty" Hosman of Marked Tree; a granddaughter, Layna R. Wallace of Jonesboro; a sister-in-law, Beth Jones of Forrest City; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Brenda Burrows of Fayetteville; and a mother-in-law, Evelyn Dunn of Forrest City. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services will be today at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Arrangements are under direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

BLYTHEVILLE -- Kathryn Campbell, 90, of Blytheville, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Heritage Square Nursing Center. She was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County and a member of North Tenth Street Baptist Church.
She leaves her son, Earl Campbell of St. Louis; a brother, Cecil Batchelor; a sister, Bonita Wynn, both of California; and her grandson, James Campbell of Eldon, Mo.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery
in Blytheville with Dr. Max Briley officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville.

BLYTHEVILLE -- Mr. Gerald Stanley Carson, 51, a lifelong resident of Blytheville, died June 20, 2006, near Hornersville, Mo.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former route driver for Advance Industries.
He leaves a brother, Walter Michael Carson of Independence, Mo., and four sisters, Patty Lange of Milwaukee, Wis., Wanda McBride of Liberty, Mo., Kathy Stallings of Lavadie, Mo., and Lisa Carson of Memphis.
No public services will be held.
Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.

EVENING SHADE -- Connie Dickerson, age 52, of Evening Shade died Thursday June 22, 2006, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born June 10, 1954, at Batesville to Jay L. and Faye Qualls Kurtley.

LILLIAN, Ala. -- Gary Don Holloway, 47, of Lillian, Ala., formerly of Paragould, died June 20, 2006, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1958, in Victorville, Calif., the beloved son of Melvin and Geneieve Holloway.
He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin; brother, Mike; and sister, Jo Ann.
Survivors include his mother, Geneieve Holloway of Paragould; daughters, Star and Destiny Holloway of Jonesboro; his wife, Cindy Holloway of the home; stepchildren, Shannon, Joshua and Jacob Holmes of Elberta, Ala.; brothers, Fred and Terry Holloway of Crestview, Fla., and John Holloway of Heber Springs; a sister, Linda Dike of Midwest City, Okla.; one grandchild; and many relatives and loved ones.
Graveside services will be at Brown's Chapel Cemetery
on Monday, June 26, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Davis officiating.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Maloney; one daughter, Billie Johnson, both of Carroll's Corner; five grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
