Mrs. Ruth Burnham

Mrs. Ruth L. Burnham, 63, of Fort Smith, daughter of C. C. Morgan of Clarksville, died Saturday, June 17, 2000.

She was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle where she was a home fellowship leader.

Other survivors include her husband, Larry Burnham; one daughter, Susan Dishner of Russellville; two sons, Steve Burnham of Bryant and Patrick Burnham of Little Rock; two sisters, Carolyn Leisman of Maumelle and Rachel Johnson of Clarksville; one brother, C. D. Morgan of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Rachel Dishner, Devin Dishner and Corbin Dishner of Russellville.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Harvest Time Tabernacle with burial in Elizabeth Hall Cemetery at New Blaine. Arrangements were under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Active pallbearers were nephews, James Lane, Mike Johnson, Doug Morgan, David Morgan, Grant Johnson, and Eric Leisman.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sam Lowe Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 6062, Fort Smith, AR 72906-6062.

Tony Spahn

Tony Spahn, 85, of Hartman died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

A native of Lincoln, Neb., he was a son of the late Hubert and Nellie Marie Bell, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a retired coal miner and floor finisher.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret Spahn; one daughter, Marilyn Biggs of Springdale; two sons, Michael Spahn of Clarksville and Tony Spahn of Greenwood; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Brasfield of Dardanelle and Jo Ann Andrews of Lucedale, Miss.; one brother, Hubert Spahn Jr. of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Rosary was at 7 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Wewers officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Richard (Dickie) Spahn, Jerry Spahn, Jimmy Sisk, Alan Walker, Ronnie Stepp, and Caleb Chrisman.

Honorary pallbearers were Adam Chrisman, Donald Grigsby, Woody Rogers, Charles Evans, and Jimmy Evans.

Mrs. Anna Freeman

Mrs. Anna L. Freeman, 64, of Port Byron, Ill., wife of former Johnson County resident, Robert L. Freeman, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Illini Hospital in Silvis, Ill.

She was a native of New Madrid, Mo., daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Holland Wood, former resident of Missouri, and member of the Full Gospel Church of God.

Other survivors are three daughters, LaRhonda Dopler of East Moline, Ill., Lucinda Welge of Hampton, Ill., and Monica Kizer of Silvis, Ill.; one son, Keith Freeman of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Carlotta Mace of Moline, Ill.; two brothers, John Wood of Dexter, Mo., and Tom Wood of Bloomfield, Mo.; six grandchildren, Shannon Kizer, David Freeman, Jamie Morgan, Amanda Kizer, Blake Kizer, and Cody Welge; five great-grandchildren, and three local sisters-in-law, Weda Davis of Clarksville and Wanda Freeman and Wilma Barber, both of Hagarville.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Full Gospel Church of God in East Moline, Ill., with Rev. Vurl Liedtke officiating.

Burial was in National Cemetery at Arsenal Island under the direction of Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary Ltd., of East Moline, Ill.

Clarence R. Boring

Clarence Ray Boring, 72, of Lamar died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

He was a retired truck driver and farmer.

He had no survivors.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the Lee Cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Helen Haney

Mrs. Helen Haney, 82, of Altus died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Indian Valley Nursing Home in Fairfield Bay.

She was a native of Denning, daughter of the late Ollie and Edna Bowles Hollowell, and a member of Alix Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Shelba Doss of Coal Hill and Mary Reynolds of Mulberry; two sons, Wayne Haney of Mobile, Ala., and Rodney Haney of Shirley; one sister, Hazel Silva of Brentwood, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, at Shaffer Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Houston Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matthew Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds, Tommy A. Doss, Tim Haney, Brent Haney, and Bruce Haney.

Mrs. Jessica Hancock

Mrs. Jessica Hancock, 31, of Fallon, Nev., died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, near Fernley, Nev., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was a native of Visalia, Calif., former resident of Rogers, graduate of Churchill County High School and the University of Nevada at Reno, and employed as a registered nurse at Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nev., and St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev.

Survivors include her husband, John Hancock; two daughters, Jennifer and Heather, both of Fallon, Nev.; father and stepmother, Reece and Linda Behimer of Knoxville; mother and stepfather, Marilyn and David Birchard of Camas, Wash.; one brother, Eric Behimer of Clarksville; grandmothers, Kitty Behimer of Ozone and Ann Simmons of Fallon, Nev.; stepsisters, Danni, GiGi, Senni, and Katy, all of Arkansas; uncle and aunt, Rick and Clare Behimer of Fallon, Nev.; and parents-in-law, Steve and Kathy Hancock of Fallon, Nev.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Parkside Bible Fellowship Church in Fallon, Nev., with burial in Fallon Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Fallon, Nev.

Mrs. Lossie Dickerson

Mrs. Lossie B. Dickerson, 100, of Clarksville died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000.

A native of Fallsville, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Mary E. Boen Lewis, widow of C. N. (Newt) Dickerson, member of the First United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Pauline Dickerson Martin; two infants; two brothers, J. S. Lewis and John W. Lewis; and one sister, Maude Vaught.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Harry McCracken of Clarksville; two grandsons and spouses, Charles and Dee McCracken of Harrison and Jerry Don and Lisa Martin of Clarksville; two great-grandchildren, Rodney Thomas of Harrison and Faith McCasland of Camden; and four great-great-grandchildren, Blake, Stephanie, Heather and Taylor of Camden.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Clemmons and Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Dickerson, Ben Phillips, Sammy Wish, Henry Walton, Robert Bartlett, and Joe Lee Martin.

Mrs. Rhonda Besotes

Mrs. Rhonda Wey Besotes, 41, of the Flat Rock Community died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

She was a native of Watsonville, Calif., and was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Roe Cox.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Besotes; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robbie and Jessica Wey of Flat Rock; Robert and Lesleigh Wey of Riverbank, Calif., and Ronald Wey of Riverbank, Calif.; two daughters, Casie Besotes of Empire, Calif., and Angela Besotes of Reno, Nev.; father, Cledis Cox of Flat Rock; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina and David Conner and Patricia and Jason Pruitt, all of Flat Rock, and Sharon and Bobby Brown of Sonora, Calif.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Pam Cox of Knox-
ville; and three grandchildren, Austin Michael Wey and Lily Marie Wey, both of Riverbank, Calif., and Destiny Wey of Flat Rock.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Martin Chapel Church with Rev. Arlin Elmore officiating.

Burial was in Brooks Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Robert Wey, Robbie Wey, Billy Judah, Lonnie Gilbert, Jason Gilbert, and Jason Pruitt.

Steve Molnar

Steve Molnar, 85, of Lamar died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Pertha Amboy, N. J., son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Ivan Molnar, and former member of Marlboro (New Jersey) Fire Department.

Survivors include one son, Steve Molnar of Clarksville; foster daughter, Mildred Myers of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Irene Walling of New Jersey; one brother, Frank Molnar of English Town, N. J.; and four grandchildren.

The body was cremated.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
