Mildred Lucille Richardson
August 31, 1915 - October 29, 2001

Mildred Lucille Richardson, 86 of Pine Bluff died October 29, 2001 at her home. She was born on August 31, 1915 in Marshall, Texas to the late Solomon and Mamie McDaniel Turner.
She was reared and received her education in Marshall, Texas, where she graduated from Marshall High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Tom S. Richardson on June 20, 2000. They were married February 14, 1938 in Marshall, Texas. She moved with her husband to Pine Bluff in 1938.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
The family will receive friends at Robinsons from 4 to 6 PM, Wednesday evening.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Richardson of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 1, 2001 at 2:00 PM in Trinity Episcopal Church with the Dr. Linda Ray and the Reverend Edgar H. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.

Hazel Guffey Brown
March 19, 1913 - October 14, 2002

Hazel Guffey Brown, 89, of Pine Bluff, died at her residence Monday evening, October 14, 2002. Mrs. Brown was born March 19, 1913, in Chidester, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Carrie Umstead Guffey.
She was reared and educated in Chidester, graduating from Chidester High School. She attended and graduated from Henderson State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mrs. Brown taught both Music and 4th grade at Blevins and Carthage, Arkansas before her retirement.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Good Faith United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ella Briley Sunday School Class, The Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and the Watson Chapel Garden Club.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, L. J. Brown and her son, James M. Brown.
She is survived by one sister, Virginia Guffey of Little Rock; daughter in law and caregiver, Mary Brown of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren, Lillian Bock and husband Kirk of Harrison, Arkansas and Brad Brown and wife Carol of Springdale, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Caroline Bock of Harrison, Arkansas and a special friend, Phoebe Grier of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 17, 2002, at 2:00 PM at Good Faith United Methodist Church by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Reverend Scott Shafer officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Good Faith United Methodist Church, 3703 Ryburn Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.

Florence Adelaide Gordon
March 19, 1908 - October 13, 2002

Adelaide Gordon, age 94, a life-long resident of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2002, at the Trinity Village Medical Center.
Adelaide was born March 19, 1908, the daughter of Charles and Florence Irene Metz Gordon Sr. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was raised and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating in the Pine Bluff High School Class of '27. She completed her education at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Miss Gordon returned to Pine Bluff and worked for Simmons Bank until her retirement in 1965. Her retirement was filled with family-fun and world-wide travel.
Miss Gordon is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Churchill and Marion Gordon of Granite Shoals, Texas; a nephew, Charles Donald Gordon of Austin, Texas; a niece, Rachael Gordon Faubion of Dallas, Texas; five (5) great nephews, Conner and Kyle Gordon of Austin, Texas, Mark and John Faubion of Dallas, Texas and Peter Hill of Dennison, Texas; a great great nephew, Steven Hill of Dennison, Texas; and a great great niece, Jessica Hill of Dennison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Grace Jefferies Gordon; her brother Charles Gordon Jr. and her sister Virginia Tuttle.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 17, 2002, at 11:00 am, at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors, 807 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff. The Reverend Lee Kinney, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon, from 4-6 pm. Burial will be at the Bellwood Annex Cemetery, Pine Bluff.
The family requests that memorials be made to a favorite Charity.

Elsie Mildred Guest
December 23, 1912 - October 23, 2002

Elsie Mildred Guest, 89, formerly of Pine Bluff died Wednesday at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born December 23, 1912 in Pine Bluff to Adolph and Anna M. Whittle Stroble.
Mrs. Guest was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She married Russell Roy Guest on October 10, 1935 in Pine Bluff. They moved to California where they owned and operated a paint and wallpaper store. After their retirement they moved back to Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Mrs. Guest is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Roy Guest; parents, Adolph and Anna M. Whittle Stroble; brothers, Adolph "Boots" Stroble, Lee Stroble, John Stroble, George W. Stroble; and sisters, Francis Schumacher, Sussie McBee, Alice Solomon.
Survivors include a sister, Catherine DuPree of Rison; and her caregiver, Mary Pierce of White Hall.
The family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Graveside service by Ralph Robinson's, 2:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2002 with Reverend Lyle Hern officating at Bellwood Annex Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
The family ask that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71611.

Joann Morris Boling
January 17, 1931 - October 24, 2002

Joann Morris Boling, 71, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, October 24, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Boling was born January 17, 1931, in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late Elton and Louise Beadle Morris. She was reared in the Park Hill area of North Little Rock where she graduated from North Little Rock High School. She attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
Mrs. Boling was a homemaker and a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church where she was a past chairman of the Administrative Board, a member of the Altar Guild, a past chairman of the Parsonage and Decorating Committee, current Circle Chairman of the Women's Society of Christian Service, current treasurer of the History Committee, and was a member of the Wedding Ring Class. She was a current board member of Trinity Village. She was a past president of P. E. O. and had been a member since 1978. She was current secretary and a past president of the Bess Jenkins Club.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Lee Boling of Atlanta, Georgia, David Alan Boling of Washington D. C., two daughters, Karen Boling Jordin of Sugar Land, Texas, Elaine Boling Bultena, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Donald Boling, who died November 11, 1999.
A public graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. A memorial service will also be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with the Reverends Ted DeWeese and Sam Teague officiating. A visitation will follow the memorial service in the fellowship hall of Lakeside United Methodist Church.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Lakeside United Methodist Church, 1500 Olive Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71601, or Trinity Village, 6400 Trinity Drive, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71603.

Jane Annette Knight
February 24, 1946 - October 25, 2002

Jane Annette Knight, age 56, of Pine Bluff, our dearly loved mother, sister, grandmother and friend went to her home on Friday morning, October 25, 2002.
Annette was born February 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Cecil M. and Mary Frances Cook Boren, in Dumas, Arkansas. She was reared and educated in Gould, Arkansas. After graduating from Gould High School, Jane attended the University of Arkansas in Monticello; where she received her baccalaureate degree in Secondary Education. Ms. Knight retired in 1997 after 32 years of teaching in the Gould and Watson Chapel School Districts. Jane was a member of the National Education Association and the Arkansas State Teachers Association. She was blessed to have her first grandchild, by whom she was called "MeeMaw." She will be deeply missed.
Ms. Knight is survived by, two sons, Joseph Todd Knight of Pine Bluff and Christophor Shane Knight of Maumelle, Arkansas; two brothers, Brannon "Banty" Boren of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Benjamin "Buddy" Boren of Melbourne, Florida; two sisters, Joey Holthoff and Brenda Gasaway both of Gould, Arkansas; Kim A. Harwell, her companion of nine years; and one grandson, Coleman Rainey Knight.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Cecil "PeeWee" Boren, Jr. and one sister, Frances Ann Few.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2002, at 2:00 pm, at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Gould, Arkansas. The Reverend Jim Smith will officiate. The family receive guests at the Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home, 807 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff, on Sunday, 2-4 pm, and on Monday one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Dark Corner Cemetery, Gould.

Ruth M. Larsen
June 27, 1920 - October 29, 2002

Ruth "Marty" Larsen, age 82, of Rowlett, Texas, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away early Tuesday, at the Rowlett Nursing Center.
Marty was born June 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Maggie Goodman Boyer in Crossett, Arkansas. She was reared in Crossett, Arkansas, and graduated from Bastrop High School in 1938. She lived in Springhill, Louisiana and then moved to Bastrop, Louisiana before moving to Pine Bluff in 1957. Ruth married Barth J. Larsen, Jr., in Minden, Louisiana on September 5, 1941. Mrs. Larsen was as member of the St. Joseph Catholic Daughters of America and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Larsen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Barth J. Larsen, Jr.; one son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nancy Larsen of Rockwall, Texas; a daughter, Cathy Larsen of Senath, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Moffatt, of Monroe, Louisiana and six grandsons and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Barth J. Larsen III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 1, 2002, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Reverend Andrew Smith will be the Celebrant. The family will receive guests Thursday evening, 6-8 pm. The recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday evening, at 7:00 pm at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home, 807 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Pine Bluff.
Memorials may be made to: The St. Joseph High School, St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital, or to the charity of your choice.

Minnie Mae Stringfellow
November 07, 1910 - October 30, 2001

Minnie Mae Stringfellow, 90, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday at her home. She was born November 7, 1910 in Rowell, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Georgia Floyd Veazey.
Mrs. Stringfellow was reared and educated in Rowell where she graduated from Rowell High School. She married Frank Stringfellow in 1927 in Glendale, Arkansas. They moved to Pine Bluff in the 1950's.
Mrs. Stringfellow worked in the kitchen at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was a Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Stringfellow was preceded in death by her husband; Frank Stringfellow, daughter; Dorothy Mae Stringfellow and two grandchildren.
Survivors include, sons; Billy Stringfellow of Pine Bluff, B. C. Stringfellow of Gravel Ridge, Bennie Stringfellow of Pine Bluff, Jessie Stringfellow of Ladd, daughter; Gladys Hopper of Rison, thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's. The service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 2, 2001 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Leonard Hodges officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison.

Leota Vinson Kelly
April 26, 1918 - October 30, 2002

Leota V. Kelly, age 84, of Pine Bluff, passed away at Jefferson Regional Medical Center late Wednesday evening.
Leota was born April 26, 1918, a daughter of the Late Thomas H. and Hettie Merrick Vinson, in Conway County, Arkansas. She was reared and educated in Fayettville, graduating in 1937. Leota attended the University of Arkansas in Fayettville. She married Joe H. Kelly in 1940 in Russellville. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1988. They moved to Pine Bluff in 1952. Mrs. Kelly worked for Dr. Crenshaw until her retirement in 1982. She was an active member of and a Sunday School teacher for many years at the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, and was an active member of the 20th Century Club. She was also a member of the Ki Sigma Sorority, the American Business Womens Aassociation and was a former President of the Jefferson County Medical Assistance Group. Leota was also a member of one of the first 4-H clubs in Arkansas. Leota won the Arkansas 4-H Championship and received a trip to Washington DC.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Kelly of Pine Bluff, a brother, Joe H. Vinson of Russellvilleand several nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the Oakland Cemetery, Russellville, Arkansas.
Memorials should be made to the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff Building Fund.
