Dora Moore
March 30, 1916 - February 17, 2002
Dora A. Starr Moore, 85, of Pine Bluff died Sunday at Trinity Village Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born March 30, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Norman E. Starr and Selba Bennett Starr.
Mrs. Moore was reared and educated in Pine Bluff.
She was a member of First Methodist Church of Pine Bluff, the American Legion Auxiliary, Woodmen of the World, AARP, and the Historical Railroad 819.
She was Preceded in death by her husbands, George Mayberry and John L. Moore.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Coston of Pine Bluff and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 20, 2002 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Michael Evans officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
The family will be located at the home of Brenda Watson, 5024 Hwy 79 S., Pine Bluff.
Eva Mae Hale
September 29, 1923 - February 18, 2002
Eva Mae Finch Hale, 78, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, February 18, 2002, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff. She was born September 29, 1923, in Henry County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late A. Bonnie and Dollye Riley Finch.
She had been a resident of Pine Bluff since 1935 and was a 1941 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She had worked as a Receptionist for Drs. Maurice and Bill Owen until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bridge and canasta and she enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Mrs. Hale was a member of Carr Memorial United Methodist Church, member of Wesley Fellowship class and a life member of the United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death in 1980, by her husband, Raymond Hale, Jr., whom she married on September 5, 1943.
Mrs. Hale is survived by three sons; Ray Hale III and wife Susan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Michael Hale and wife Sandra and Richard "Ricky" Hale, both of Pine Bluff; one sister, Peggy Taylor also of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2002, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Pete Beevers officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Edwin Elton ( Ed ) Mitcham
June 21, 1921 - October 03, 2001
Ed Mitcham, 80, of 3100 Iris in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at his home. Born in Pine Bluff on June 21, 1921, he was a son of the late George I. and Katie Leota Brown Mitcham.
Mr. Mitcham was reared and educated in Pine Bluff where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1939. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific. He returned to Pine Bluff and began working for Ben Pearson as a Bowyer, where he made custom bows for some of Mr. Pearson's clients. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1967 where he went to work for Hoyt Archery. He returned to Pine Bluff after a couple of years and began working in merchandising for several area retailers, working mainly in their sporting goods departments before retiring in 1983 as an assistant manager with Magic Mart.
Mr. Mitcham continued to use his expertise in woodworking after his retirement with the crafts and hobby shows that he and his wife attended throughout the country.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Mitcham, and a sister, Cloma Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Jordan Mitcham whom he married September 20, 1947 in Pine Bluff, a daughter, Pamela Krievans of Little Rock, Arkansas, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2001, Robinson's Chapel, with Reverend John Brock officiating.

William Christian ( Chris ) Reichen
April 10, 1912 - February 17, 2002
William Christian "Chris" Reichen, age 89, of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Pine Bluff and Sheridan, AR, died Sunday, February 17, 2002, at Primacy Health Care in Memphis.
Mr. Reichen was born in Pine Bluff April 10, 1912, a son of the late Frank Sam and Mary Bettie Wilson Reichen. He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He married Aetna Beall Magee on December 20, 1936, in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Reichen learned "the printing trade" at the Pine Bluff Graphic and later went to work for the Pine Bluff Commercial. During World War II he worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal where he was a superintendent in the white phosphorus plant there. He received an "Award for Excellence" in war production in 1944 and also the "Victory Medal" from the President of the United States.
He joined Arkansas Printing and Lithographing in Little Rock in 1944, working as a printer and printing foreman for that company and its successors until retiring in 1973. He and his family moved to Sheridan in 1969. Mrs. Reichen died March 28, 1993.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by three sons, Frank Reichen, William Reichen, Jr., and Jeffery Reichen, all of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Murray Reichen of Pine Bluff; one sister, Merle Reichen of Pine Bluff; five (5) grandchildren; and one (1) great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Reichen.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2002, at 11:30 AM, at Memorial Park Cemetery
in Pine Bluff by Ralph Robinson & Son.

Clarice Gaddy Hobbs
December 01, 1927 - February 20, 2002
Clarice Gaddy Hobbs, 74, of 3516 South Cherry Street, Pine Bluff died Wednesday, at her home.
Mrs. Hobbs was born December 1, 1927,in Jefferson County, to Jesse Franklin and Florence Koonce Gaddy. She was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 37 years, retiring in 1984, as a Supervisor Network Administrator. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Hazel Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Hobbs, whom she married August 1, 1947 in Pine Bluff, two children and their families, William Cary Hobbs of Cabot, and his children, Kyle Robinson Hobbs of Cabot and Deborah Elizabeth Hobbs of New Orleans and Deborah Hobbs Kell and Roger Kell and their sons, Jerod Lee and William Casey, all of Pine Bluff, two sisters, Geneva Crane of Ft. Worth, Texas and Agnes Adams of Biloxi, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edwin F. Gaddy and William Aaron Gaddy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Bryan Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Friday, 6-8 P.M..

Edward Lamar Glover
April 12, 1929 - February 20, 2002
Edward Lamar Glover, 72, of Sherrill died Wednesday at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born April 12, 1929 in Woodlawn, he was a son of the late James Elbert Glover and Lela Green Glover.
Mr. Glover was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School. During his teenage years, he began buying and selling livestock and continued in the livestock business throughout his lifetime. He married Lyndell Brewer on May 25, 1952 in Pine Bluff. Together they operated Glover Cattle Co., and incorporated it in 1971. At one time they were the largest livestock dealer in Arkansas, shipping as many as 3,000 cattle per week. He semi-retired after a heart attack in 1980 but has maintained a cow/calf operation on Riverview Ranch which he and his wife bought in 1958.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Edward Glover, a brother, Roy E. Glover, and a sister, Juanita Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Lyndell Glover of Sherrill; two sons, James E. "Jimmy" Glover and wife Tina of Pine Bluff and William L. "Bill" Glover and wife Lisa of Russellville; one daughter, Gale Glover Smith of Sherrill; three brothers, James C. Glover, Thomas R. Glover and Donald Lee Glover, all of Pine Bluff; and three grandsons, Bert Smith of Sherrill, Clayton Glover and Adam Glover of Russellville.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Robinson's.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Hollis McDermott officiating. Burial will be at Ain Cemetery
at Grapevine.
Bonnie Murray Carder
May 10, 1917 - February 22, 2002
Bonnie Murray Carder, 84, of the Hardin Community died Friday, at her home.
She was born May 10, 1917, in Alton, Missouri, to Charles Wilburn and Claudia McKeel Murray.
Mrs. Carder was reared and received her early education in Sherrill, where she married Clifford C. Carder, September 8, 1934.
She was a member of Hardin Baptist Church and the Homemakers Sunday School Class.
Survivors are two sons, James L. Carder of Cordova, Tennessee, Murray Carder of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Mollie Carder Jenkins of White Hall; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Cecil Murray, three sisters, Mary Widmer, Mabel Collins, Ruby Mitchell, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Pastors Clyde Jones and Jim Parker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's, Sunday, 3-5 P.M.

Royal E. Roberts
August 25, 1933 - February 24, 2002
Royal E. "Walt" Roberts, 68, of 1102 West 6th Avenue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Sunday, February 24, 2002, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Roberts was born August 25, 1933 in Rowell, Arkansas, to the late Ervin and Vera Curruth Roberts. He was reared in Rowell, Arkansas and graduated from Altheimer High School. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1953 during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1955.
Mr. Roberts was a self-employed contractor in the construction business until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff.
His survivors include one son, William R. "Bubba" Roberts of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, two daughters, Susan Heffner of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Jennifer Roberts of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, three brothers, Terry Roberts of Monroe, Louisiana, Charles Wayne Roberts of Iowa Park, Texas, Barney Roberts of New Orleans, Louisiana, two sisters, Janice Lofton of Nashville, Tennessee, Betty Chapman of Monticello, Arkansas and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at Robinson's.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2002, 10:00 A.M., Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with the Reverend Don Borland officiating. Interment will follow at Rowell Cemetery
in Rowell, Arkansas.
The family will be located at Mr. Roberts home, 1102 West 6th Avenue, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
