Chad Parnell November 21, 1968 - September 7, 2003

Chad Parnell was born November 21, 1968 at Mountain Home, Ark. to Everett Carl Parnell and Dean Horn Parnell. He married Angela Townsend on December 1, 1990 in Norfork. Chad enjoyed hunting, playing softball, coaching T - Ball and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Norfork First Baptist Church.Chad Parnell died Sunday, September 7, 2003. He was 34.

Survived by: Chad Parnell is survived by his wife, Angela and daughter Halen Mackenzie Katherine Parnell, parents Everett and Dean Parnell, all of Norfork; grandmother, Norma Horn of Old Joe, mother - in - law and father - in law, Dwaine and Beth Pickell of Jordan, lots of aunts, uncles, couisins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: Chad is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

Visitation: Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2003 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral services for Chad Everett Parnell of Norfork will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Norfork with Rev. David Wiley and Rev. Bob Mathis officiating.

Burial arrangements: . Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.

Honorary Bearers: Honorary pallbearers are David Henderson, Robert Cox, Joey and Ronnie Langston, Henry Horn, Dwaine Pickell, Bruce Cochrum and Kippie Stegal.

Active Bearers: Marty Wilson, Dennis Lawton, Steven Whithead, Jody Cox, John T. Oldham and Craig Killian.

Murel Partee 1938 - 2002

Murel J. Partee was born July 7, 1938 at Mountain Home, Arkansas the son of Eugene V. Partee and Maxine Webber Partee. He married Almedia Smith at Gainesville, Missouri on September 21, 1958 and was a lifetime resident of the Mountain Home area. He was co - owner of Partee Culvert Pipe Co. and enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, car racing and was a square dance caller. He served with the US Navy. He died at his residence on March 4, 2002 at the age of 63.

Survived by: Wife, Almedia Partee; 1 son Randy Partee; 2 Brothers Winfred and Ernest Partee of Mountain Home; 2 Grandchildren Justin and Cody Partee of Bakersville, Missouri; many nieces & nephews

Funeral: March 8, 2002 at Eastside Baptist Church at 10:00 AM with Dr. Michael Shy officiating.

Gertrude Partenheimer 1930 - 2002

Gertrude Partenheimer was born October 20, 1930 at Kenosha, Wisconsin the daughter of Herbert Klein and Lina Grimm Klein. She married Alfred Partenheimer at Kenosha on March 4, 1950 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Kenosha in 1994. She died at Baxter Regional Medical Center on September 1, 2002 at the age of 71.

Survived by: 1 Son Kenneth Partenheimer of Troy, Michigan; 1 Daughter Janet (Ray) Graves of Munford, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren Jamie, Christopher, Sarah and Jonathan; 2 Sisters Doris (Bill) Schultz of Waukeegan, Illinois and Nancy (Buff) Chard of Phoenix, Arizona

Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband

Funeral: September 4, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Michael Shy officiating.

Betty J. Patterson 1933 - 2003

Betty J. Patterson was born September 1, 1933 at Denton, Arkansas to M.C. Denton and Katie Seahorn Denton. She married James Patterson on June 30, 1957 at Arkoma, OK. She worked as an assembler for Whirlpool Division. She was a resident of Midway, AR since moving from Greenwood, AR in 1996. She was a Seamstress, and loved to cook and make flower arrangements. She loved to visit nursing homes. She was a member of the Mountain home Baptist Church. Betty J. Patterson entered into eternal rest on May r, 2003 at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 3 days.

Survived by: : husband - James Allen Patterson and wife Faye of Fort Smith, AR; Daughter - Donna L. Coleman and husband Ben of Bowersville, GA; Granddaughter - Laura Coleman; Brother - Otis Denton and wife Shirley of Fort Smith, AR; Nephews - Larry Denton and wife Lynette and Donnie Denton; Niece - Ann Denton

Visitation: Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home

Funeral: Funeral will be Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Mountain Home Baptist Church with Dr. James Hoffpauir officiating.

Harold Pauley 1946 - 2002

Harold Pauley was born December 1, 1946 at Magnolia, Arkansas to Harold and Sarah Massey Pauley. He retired after 20 years in the United States Navy. Mr. Pauley lived in Mountain Home since 1998 moving from Magnolia. He was a member of Norfork United Methodist Church.

Survived by: Harold Pauley is survived by his wife, Joan of Norfork, daughter, Kimberly (Ben) Williams of Dallas, stepdaughter, Joni Goodnight of Ft. Worth, grandchildren, Jackson, Grayson and Hudson Williams of Dallas.

Preceded in Death by: Harold Pauley is predeceased by his parents.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 15, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral Services for Harold E. Pauley of Norfork will be at 10:00 Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob and Kay Burton officiating. Harold Pauley died Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at his residence. He was 55.

Burial arrangements: Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 18, 2002 in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Girard Paye 1926 - 2002

Girard R. Paye was born October 26, 1926 at Grosse Pointe, Michigan the son of Girard Paye and Gladys Maran Paye. He had been a resident of the Mountain Home area since moving from Munster, Indiana in 1970 and was a automobile mechanic. He served with the US Army during World War II.

Survived by: Companion, Dorothy Christian; 9 nieces and nephews

Ruby Pendleton 1939 - 2002

Ruby Irene Pendleton was born August 4, 1939 at Topeka, Kansas the daughter of William Nichols and Mildred Judd Nichols. She married Marvin D. Pendleton, Sr. at St. Joe, Missouri on November 29, 1955 and had resided in the Norfork area since moving from Phoenix, Arizona in 1975. She was a homemaker. She died at Baxter Regional Medical Center on May 13, 2002 at the age of 62 years.

Survived by: Son, Marvin D. Pendleton & wife Lori of Ohio; daughters, Brenda (Keith) Jones of Mountain Home, Carol (Bill) Fuller of Norfork, Roseann Stocklas of Norfork; brother, Jessie Nichols of Kansas; 8 grandchildren

Preceded in Death by: Parents, husband, granddaughter Ruby Irene Fuller, sisters Doris Pusch, Betty Bauer; brothers William, Charles, Ronza, John, Robert and Ivan

Sidney Penton 1919 - 2002

Sidney Robert Penton was born December 29, 1919 at Macon, Missouri the son of Lee Roy Penton and Ollie Myrtle Miles Penton. He married Doris Gustafson at Maywood, Illinois in June 28, 1947 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving f rom Bellwood, Illinois in 1976. He was a supply attendent at Alcoa Aluminum and served in World War II. He died at his residence on September 8, 2002 at the age of 82.

Survived by: Wife, Doris Penton; 2 Sisters, Thelma Eckert of Mountain Home and Mary Lou Smith of Macon, Missouri; Numerous Nephews and Nieces.

Earl L. Petersen August 29, 1910 - January 31, 2003

Earl L. Petersen, 92, of Mountain Home died January 31, 2003 at Auburn Hills Nursing Home. He was 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner in Wheaton, IL. He was a member of the First Methodist of Bull Shoals.

Survived by: He was survived by his sister Ruth Stecker and 2 Nieces.

Preceded in Death by: Preceded by his Parents and wife.

Merle Wesley Pettit February 2, 1923 - March 18, 2003

Mr. Merle Wesley Pettit died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was 80. He was born February 2, 1923 at Pengilly, Minnesota the son of Cleveland and Rena Otten Pettit. He married Barbara Nelson at Superior, Wiscinson on October 27, 1951 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Superior, Wisconsin in 1971. He was a steel worker with US Steel Company and had served with the US Army during World War II. He was a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246 and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survived by: He is survived by 4 sons; Vaughn (Barbara) Pettit of Mountain Home, Roger Pettit of Superior, Wisconsin, Allen Pettit of Batesville, Arkansas and Douglas Pettit of Mountain Home; 1 daughter Brenda (Phillip) Reed of Cotter, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation: Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral service for Merle Wesley Pettit of Mountain Home will be Friday, March 21, 2003 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating.

Burial arrangements: Burial will be in Custer - Herron Cemetery in Henderson. military Honors will be by North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with Honor Guards Amercian Legion Alley - White Post #52.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Salvation Army.
