Pearline McWhorter was born October 12, 1918 at Greenville, South Carolina the daughter of Walter Smith and Mattie Galloway. SHe married William Robert McWhorter on December 21, 1944 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Orlando, Florida in 2001. She died at her residence on July 25, 2002 at the age of 83.

Thelma S. McWilliams March 10, 1913 - June 28, 2003
Thelma S. McWilliams was born March 10, 1913 at Detroit, Michigan to Roy and Mary Jane Abram Johnsont. While in Michigan, She married Walter B. McWilliams on April 28, 1946. A resident of Mountain Home since moving from Brownsville, Texas in 1982, she was a homemaker who loved cooking, especially baking. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Methodist church. Thelma McWilliams entered into eternal rest at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home on June 28, 2003 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 18 days.
Survived by: She is survived by her husband, Walter B. McWilliams of the home; two daughters, Sheila S. (David) Frost of Mountain Home and Deborah (Frank) Maggiore of Staten Island, New York; six grandchildren, David Cornwall of Greenland, Arkansas, Chris Cornwall of Mountain Home, Susan Frost of Fayetteville, Mary Frost of Mountain Home, Joseph Maggiore of Staten Island, New York and Frank Maggiore of Staten Island, New York; four great - grandchildren, Brett, Seth, Haley, and Christina Cornwall.

Ruby Gerri Merk 60, of Bull Shoals died March 23, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was Born November 20, 1941 in Russellville, AR to Neil and Sybil Rachel Lloyd. She Married Duane Merk October 9, 1983 at Kavai, HA. She was a book Keeper for Gerris Book Keeping Service. She moved to Bull Shoals in 1996 From California formerly of Russellville, AR. She enjoyed fishing, Sewing and Cooking. she was a member of the Twin Lakes Church of The Nazarene.
Survived by: She is Survived by her husband Duane Merk of Bull Shoals, Son Michael and Jo Ann Helms of Marion, AR, 2 Stepsons Douglas Merk of San Jose, CA., Marc and Tina Merk of Selma, CA., Brother Lynn Lloyd of Austin, TX., mother Sybil Lloyd of Russellville, AR., 5 Grandchildren.

Leonard William Meyer was born August 17, 1920 at Chicago, Illinois the son of Paul and Emily Foster Meyer. He married the late Maryann Evaskus in Chicago on December 4, 1954 and had resided in the Bull Shoals area since moving from Calumet Park, Illinois in 1975. He served with the US Navy during World War II and was a truck driver.

Earl M. Meyer was born August 17, 2002 at Chicago, Illinois the son of Paul Meyer and Emily Foster Meyer. He had been a resident of this area since 1997 and was retired from Jewel Food Stores as a butcher.

Josephine M. (Dolly) Miller - 2003
Josephine M. Miller (Dolly) died at her home in Mountain Home on Sunday, 19 January.
She was born a Catholic in New York City November 18 to John and Maria Taddeo. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Miller of Arlington, TX; one brother Ralph Taddeo and four sisters, Jo Frederick, Teresa Glaser, Olympia Rau, and Mary Lou Heintz all of New York.
Dolly and her husband Tom, who predeceased her in 1988, retired to Mountain Home in 1968. While stationed at Little Rock A.F.B., they made frequent trips to fish the North Fork River beginning in 1956.
Besides being an avid trout fisherman, she enjoyed playing golf at Twin Lakes Golf Course. She was a Charter Member of the Twin Lakes Golf Association and a member of the Twin Lakes Ladies' Golf Club. She also served as a Democratic Committee Member for over twenty - five years and was a permanent fixture on voting day at the polls.
Her biggest claim to fame came in 1969 when American International Pictures came to the Ozarks to film "Bloody Mama." It starred Shelley Winters and newcomer, Robert DeNiro. She was hired as an "extra" but her picture wound up on the movie poster and the record album.
Funeral: A Funeral Mass for Josephine M. Miller (Dolly) will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend James Fanrak officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery

Service and burial for Mary Evelyn Miller of Mountain Home will be private. Mrs. Miller died Monday, December 30, 2002 at Baxter Manor Nursing Home. She was born February 17, 1924 at Oak Park, Illinois to Merle Long and Mary McGaw Marshall Long. She married George Miller at Chicago, Illinois on August 17, 1947 and had been a resident of Mountain Home since 1978. She was a registered nurse and member of Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, George of Mountain Home; daughters Robin Bernhardt of Lake Villa, Illinois, Kathleen Jones of Park City, Illinois, Georgette Parmelee of Wildwood, Illinois, Suzanne Shebesta of Libertyville, Illinois; a sister Shirley Shipp of California; 8 grandchildren Lynsey, Grant, and Ashley Jones; Kyle, Brandon and Maggie Parmelee; Stephanie and Breannan Shebesta; great grandchild, Nevaeh Jones and several nieces and nephews. E. Genevie Miller was born December 2, 1922 at Noble, Illinois the daughter of Arthur Frost and Gladys VanMatre. She married Emery Miller at Noble, Illinois on July 26, 1942 and had resided in the Mountain Home are since moving from LaGrange, Illinois in 1981. She was a beautician and member of Lady Elks Lodge #1714. She died at Good Samaritan Village on June 9, 2002 at the age of 79.

James Burl "Buck" Milloway of Mountain Home was born December 16, 1919 at Gurdon, Arkansas to Fred G. and Dosha Cox Milloway. He married Ruby Cruse on November 17, 1940 at Osceola, Arkansas and worked as a Industrial Maintainence Supervisor for Genstar Stone Products Company for 33 years. He moved to Mountain Home January 1988 from Northlake, Ill. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church in Mountain Home. He passed away on August 15, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 29 days.
