Stanley A. Matthews October 27, 1908 - April 20, 2003

Stanley A. Matthews 94, of Fort Dodge Iowa formally of Mountain Home died April 20, 2003 at Fort Dodge Iowa. He was born October 27, 1908 at Pisgah, Iowa the son of Oscar and Vera Comstock Matthews. He married Margaret McCarville in 1930 and then married Telva Cole in 1946. After her death in 1989 he married Esther Hrabak in 1991. He served with the US Army during World War II and was employed with Webster County as a civil engineer until retiring in 1976. He had residences in both Mountain Home and Fort Dodge. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home and Fort Dodge. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner.

Survived by: He is survived by his wife, Esther; son Paul of Aurora, Colorado; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Ben of Pisgah and Albert of Sun City, California; 2 sisters Esther Enders of Watertown, South Dakota and Alyce McCall of Whiting, Iowa.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.

Funeral: Graveside service for Stanley Matthews of Fort Dodge, Iowa will be at 10:00, Monday, April 28, 2003 at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with Reverend Jim Brooks officiating. military Honors will be by the VFW Post #3246 of Mountain Home.

Burial arrangements: Emtombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Esther Mattson 1914 - 2003

Esther Mattson was born July 22, 1914 at Schaumburg, Illinois the daughter of George and Amelia Fasse Meyer. She married Martin Mattson at Schaumburg on May 6, 1949 and had lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from DeKalb, Illinois in 1979. She had worked at Great Northern Insurance Company prior to working at Northern Illinois University as a cook. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, she was active as a Sunday school teacher and member of Altar Guild and Ladies Guild. Esther Mattson entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2003 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 14 days.

Survived by: Her Husband: Martin Mattson of the home 1 Son: Mark Charles Mattson of Mountain Home 1 Brother: Harvey Meyer of Mountain Home

Preceded in Death by: Parents and one brother.

Visitation: Visitation Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral Services are to be held in Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel on May 9, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Ken Lampe officiating.

Burial arrangements: burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials: Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Marion Mawhinnie 1912 - 2002

Marion Agnes Mawhinnie was born February 8, 1912 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Earl and Helena Thesing Norman. She married the late Edgar Mawhinnie at Crownpoint, Indiana on January 7, 1944 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Monkea, Illinois in 1977. She was a homemaker.

Survived by: 3 sons: Robert Mawhinnie of Seary, AR, Richard Mawhinnie (Sandy) of Tinley Park, Illinois and Kenneth Mawhinnie (Sandie) of Park City, Utah; 1 daughter Marion Anderson (Claude) of Idaho Springs, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

Preceded in Death by: parents, husband, a sister Lucille Nelson and a son Earl Malcohow

Funeral: Memorial Service at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum on January 10, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. with Revernd David Insell officiating.

Anna Mayer 1919 - 2002

Anna Mayer was born April 25, 1919 at Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of Anna Hejtmanek Klincich and Mr. Klincich. She had been a resident of the Mountain Home area since moving from Northville, Michigan in 1995 and was a homemaker.

Survived by: 2 sons; Richard C. Mayer (Bonnie) of Aurora, Illinois and Donald F. Mayer of Mountain Home, AR; 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter

William N. McAliester 1920 - 2002

William Norris McAliester of Oakland, Arkansas was born on October 22, 1920 in Caldwell County, Kentucky.He married Erma May Waggoner on March 17, 1972 in Las Vegas, NV. He worked for the City of Hemet California. He was a World War II Purple Heart Veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He was a Baptist. He moved to Oakland in 1988 from Hemet California where he passed away at his residence at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 15 days.

Survived by: Wife Erma McAliester of Oakland, Ar., 1 Son - Tom McAliester (Lorrie) of Temecula, Calif., 1 Daughter - Sharon Pilkerton (C.J.) of Lone Pine, Calif., 5 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother Ray McAllister of Bull Shoals, AR.

Funeral: Graveside Services were held on May 8, 2002 at the Fairview Cemetery in Marion County, Arkansas with Pastor Mark Norris officiating.

Zelma M. McBride 1930 - 2003

Zelma McBride was born May 14, 1930 at Lineville, Iowa to James Harvey and Fairy Marie Moore Painter. She married Floyd McBride on October 3, 1948 in East Moline, Illinois. Mrs. McBride was retired having worked as a C.N.A. with Good Samaritan Village, in the cafeteria at Mar - Bax and owner of McBride’s Wholesale Bait.

Survived by: Zelma McBride is survived by sons, James Floyd and Sharon McBride and Tommy Dean McBride; grandchildren, T. J. and Dawn, Chad, Damion, Christopher and Shasta, and Amy McBride, 4 great grandchildren, all of Mountain Home and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation: Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2003 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m at the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral Services for Zelma M. McBride of Mountain Home will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Arthur Rosenkotter officiating. Mrs. McBride died Friday, January 10, 2003 at her residence. She was 72 years of age.

Catherine Munson McCain 1907 - 2003

She was born January 10, 1907 at Patterson, LA to Joseph Eugene Munson and Frances Trellue Munson. She married Thomas Irwin McCain at Cheneville, LA, and was a homemaker. She was a resident of Bull Shoals, AR since moving from Santa Rosa, CA in 1993. Catherine Munson McCain entered into eternal rest on February 24, 2003 at Mountain Home, AR at the age of 96 years, 1 month and 14 days.

James Arthur McCamey 1921 - 2002

James Arthur McCamey of Yellville, Arkansas was born March 16, 1921 in Parkersburg, W.VA to Rolla and Margaret Elizabeth Farnsworth McCamey. He was a retired Pilot for the US Air Force and a Veteran of WWII. He moved to Yellville in 1987 from Michigan and passed away at his residence on March 23, 2002 at the age of 81 years and 7 days.
