Elaine Reid
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Elaine Reid of Sacramento, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away in the company of her children on March 10, 2006.
She is survived by her children, David and Denise Reid of Oxford, Miss., Barbara and Alan Reece of Greensboro, N.C., Stuart and Michelle Reid of Jonesboro, and Brian and Karen Reid of Antelope, Calif.; and grandchildren, Whitney and Rachel Reece and Claire and MaryKate Reid.
She faithfully served to the glory of God as an active member of Fremont Presbyterian Church as a deaconess, choir member and Bible study leader. She served as president of the board of directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center in Sacramento.
She leaves a lasting legacy of commitment to her Saviour Jesus Christ. While in Jonesboro she was an active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Visitation was held at Lind Brothers Mortuary in Carmichael, Calif., March 13. Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Fremont Presbyterian Church.

MOUNTAIN HOME -- Julius Runyan, 94, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, March 12.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lancaster Cemetery
at Strawberry

Edward Douglas Ryals
MARKED TREE -- Edward Douglas "Eddie" Ryals, 74, of Marked Tree died Monday.
A member of Central Baptist Church in Marked Tree, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Lepanto American Legion Post #26.
He is survived by a sister, Alene R. Walker of Marked Tree; three granddaughters, Niki Mashburn of Jacksonville, Fla., Kari Fletcher of Harrisburg and Haley Ryals of Marked Tree; and one great-granddaughter, Allison Elizabeth Fletcher of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Ryals; his parents, Augusta J. and Everette Ryals; and two sons, Mark Ed Ryals and Kim Ryals.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church in Marked Tree. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church.
The family requests that memorials in honor of Edward Douglas "Eddie" Ryals be given to Central Baptist Church.

Lillian W. Cosbey
CARAWAY -- Lillian W. Cosbey, 78, of Caraway died Sunday, April 2, 2006, in St. Bernard's Medical Center. She had lived in Caraway since 1976, moving there from Florida, and was of the Baptist belief.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Cosbey Sr.; her son, Vernon W. Cosbey; and one sister, Jimmie Lou Gillihan.
Survivors include sons, Robert Cosbey Jr. of Parrish, Fla., and David Cosbey, Michael Cosbey and John Northcutt, all of Caraway; daughters, Patsy Cosbey and Elizabeth Turner, both of Caraway, Virginia Dean of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Sidney Woods of Little Rock; sisters, Louise Sawyer of Lake City, Dixie Parker of Leachville, Melba Arquette of Kelso, Wash., and Charlene Duncan and Ann Obrian, both of Tucson, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Caraway United Methodist Church with Donnie Hudson officiating and burial to follow in Manila Cemetery
with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Bo Lane, Ronald Gipson, John McGee, Gary Don Hurst, Gaylon Barrett and Patrick Gross. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Bynum, Glen Boone and Lee Sawyer.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Caraway United Methodist Church.
Gary Dewayne Daughhetee
REYNO -- Gary Dewayne Daughhetee, 53, of Reyno died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at his residence.
Survivors include his mother, Bessie Daughhetee of Reyno; one brother, James Daughhetee of Tipton, Mo.; and five sisters, Marilyn Ramos, Brenda Schultz, Linda Kingery, Judy Gonzales and Stacy Thompson.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cox-Waymon Funeral Home with Roger Hovis officiating. Interment will be in Gross Cemetery
at Maynard with Cox-Waymon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Freda Davis
IMBODEN -- Freda Davis, 87, of Imboden passed away Sunday.
Survivors include a son, Thomas K. Davis and wife Patsy of Trumann; three stepgranddaughters, Sherry, Tammy and Misty; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Jordan, Page, Sammie Joe, Jana Kai and Maci; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church at Imboden, with Tracy Martin officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery
under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Mae Dell Mincy Dixon
TRUMANN -- Mrs. Mae Dell Mincy Dixon, 93, of Trumann, formerly of Corinth, Miss., died Monday at Trumann Health and Rehab. Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, James Mincy; two sons, Jerry Mincy and John Mincy; and one granddaughter.
She is survived by seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. this evening in Thompson Funeral Home at Trumann.
Burial arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Coleman Family Chapel at Corinth.
Betty Jo Gaines
BLYTHEVILLE -- Betty Jo Gaines, 84, died April 2, 2006, in Great River Medical Center at Blytheville.
Children and spouses, David Ira and Terrie Gaines of Blytheville, and Iris Jo and Billy Stabbs of Blytheville; sister-in-law, Imogene Sanders of Blytheville; cousins, Marie Smothermon of Jonesboro and Ione Gore of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, Marshal and Johanna Gaines, Rex Stabbs, Martin Gaines and Dana Stabbs; and great-grandchild, Alexis Gaines all survive her.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. today in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Barron officiating. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.
George Washington Morten
PARAGOULD -- George Washington Morten, 91, of Paragould died on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Paragould. He was retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and was a Pearl Harbor survivor, having been awarded a Bronze Star for actions in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW and Tenth Street Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elvira and Van Morten; his first wife, Jewell Morten; brothers, Jimmy and Noble Morten; and sisters, Faye Faughn and Sybill Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Morten; sister, Mildred Phillips of Paragould; sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Joan Morten, Chester and Ann Morten and Bobby Morten of Paragould; daughters and sons-in-law, Gretta and Barry Lloyd and Sharon Bradsher of Paragould; grandchildren, Cindy Tarry, Trudy McNatt, Ginger Smith, Clint Morten, Tiffany Jackson, Deann Curtis, Michael Bradsher and Stacey, Kellie, Steven and Amy McPherson; eight great-grandchildren; Stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Darrell and Eva Nell Jones of Caruthersville, Mo., Dewayne and Patsy Jones, and Anthony and Michelle Jones of Paragould, David and Cheryl Jones of Poplar Bluff; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-laws, Katrena and Stan Hill, Gledia and Gary Thomas, and Shenia and Andy Ford of Paragould; 25 stepgrandchildren, 28 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Heath Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today in Heath Funeral Home.

Dora Priest
DELAPLAINE -- Dora Priest, 87, of Delaplaine died Monday, April 3, 2006, in St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Strangers Home, Lawrence County, on Sept. 27, 1918, she was a member of Delaplaine Baptist Church.
Mrs. Priest was a homemaker, factory worker and grocery clerk.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Bari of Jonesboro; five sons, James Priest of Emery, S.D., Elbert Priest of Delaplaine, Delbert Priest of Hoxie, Carroll Priest of Livingston, La., and Melton Priest of Delaplaine. She is also survived by a special friend, Carolyn Smith of Delaplaine; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and by two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Priest; her parents; three brothers; three sisters; a daughter; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Delaplaine Baptist Church, with M.E. Prince officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
Burial will follow in Jones Ridge Cemetery
near Delaplaine under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
Grandsons Ronnie Holder, Johnny W. Cook, Scott Priest, Brian Priest, Cameron Priest and David Priest will serve as pallbearers. Alternate pallbearer will be great-grandson Bret Holder.
