Morgan Keith Murphy
Morgan Keith Murphy, age 81 of Calion, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the LifeCare Specialty Hospital in Ruston, LA. He was born on June 1, 1931 in Calion to the late Dow H. Murphy and Margaret (Morgan) Murphy. Morgan was a U.S. Navy Veteran, during the Korean War Era, Serving his country from 1951- 1955. Morgan was a retired boiler operator for Lion oil Refinery, serving forty plus years before his retirement. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Calion, where he served as deacon, Sunday school secretary and even grounds keeper up until he was unable to do so. He was an avid hunter and especially loved deer hunting and being a part of the Norphlet Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Tommie Gayle Murphy; one son, Thomas Keith Murphy; one brother, Donnie Murphy and by two nieces, Becky and Donna Sue.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter in law, Cheri Gardner Murphy of El Dorado; sister, Patricia “Pat” Oliver and her husband Harold of Calion; two nephews, Mike Murphy of Norphlet and Ronnie Hale of Calion also, two special neighbors and caregivers, Rick and Karen Evans of Calion and numerous other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Calion, with Rev. Kenny Blackwell and Rev. David Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
Pallbearers will be Jay McGough, Greg McGough, Robert McGough, Jody Tillery, Todd Bratton, Daniel Murphy, Shane Murphy and Clint Murphy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Evans, Ronnie Hale, Mike Murphy and Jim Staples.
Catherine "Katie" Ann Jordan
May 9, 1957 - May 7, 2012
Catherine Katie Ann Jordan, age 54, of Magnolia, Ar. passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Ar. She was born on May 9, 1957 in El Dorado, Ar. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Magnolia. She was a 1976 Graduate of Magnolia High School and attended Southern Arkansas University and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Fred and Catherine Irmede (Sumrall) Jordan and step-mother, Della Jordan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two brothers, David Jordan of Magnolia, Ar.; Patrick Jordan and wife, Pallie of Shreveport, La.; two nephews, Jarrod Jordan of Shreveport, La. and Staff Sgt. Matthew Taylor Jordan, Military Training Instructor US Air Force and wife, Trista of San Antonio, Tx., one Niece, Laura Brunson and one great niece, Fallon Grace Brunson both of Conway, Ar. and extended family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Friday, May 11, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ar.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Sarah Mae Ewing
July 23, 1927 - December 14, 2012
Sarah Mae Ewing, age 85 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Oak Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in El Dorado. She was born on July 23, 2012 in Haynesville, LA to the late John Andrew Bolling and Sarah Frances (Carter) Bolling. Mae was and animal lover and loved to go fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Amos Bolling; and two sisters, Nora Bennett and Bessie Slaughter.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Ewing of Smackover; sister Liddie Parker of El Dorado; nieces, Virginia Daly of Louann, Ruth Ann Hill of Walker, LA, Linda Cappas of Indiana and Linda Welborn of Minden, LA; nephews, A.J. Bolling of Tiller, AR and Johnny Bolling of El Dorado; six great nieces and nine great nephews, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in El Dorado, with Bro. Bob Inmon officiating. Burial will follow in Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
Sydney Norris Neely
May 16, 1947 - December 30, 2009
Sydney N. Neely, 62 of El Dorado, AR; died on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas following a lengthy illness.
Sydney was born on May 16, 1947 in Albuquerque, N.M.; she was the daughter of Gordon and Sydney Barnett Norris. A loving grandmother, Sydney enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family. Sydney also enjoyed people, which was helpful in her career of 36 years in the human resources department of Murphy Oil Corporation. She loved to read and travel. Sydney was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are husband Dan Neely of El Dorado, a daughter Becky Brantley and husband Jamie of Farmerville, LA, a son Chris Neely and wife Alicia of El Dorado, a sister Nancy Howard of Lake Jackson, TX, and five grandchildren Becca, Jacy, Caden, Jack, and Sydnie D.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Chapel of Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Doyce Whitten officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thurman Ross Embrey, 67 of Mt. Holly, died Thursday, July 7, 2011.
Born December 22, 1943 in Stella, Missouri he was the son of Pete and Clara Haynes Embrey. He was the founder and owner of Ross Embrey, Inc. serving the fiber optic industry. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were a son Bobby Dean Embrey and a grand-daughter, Brandi Lynn Embrey.
Survivors include his wife, Eulah Gandy Embrey of Mt. Holly, and a daughter, Joyce Galanti and her husband Mario of Orefield, PA. Surviving grandchildren and great-grandchildren are grandson, Tony Pepper and his wife Sierra and their children Jacob Anthony Pepper and Torri Pepper all of Orefield and granddaughter Annie Gatlin and her husband Brandon and their children Hunter and Hayden all of Norphlet along with grandson, Richard Pitre of El Dorado.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2011 in Bailey Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Winston Roden officiating.

Audrey Lee Ambrose, 92 of Mc Kinney, TX formerly of El Dorado; died on September 29, 2010 at Baybrooke Village Care and Rehabilitation in Mc Kinney, TX following a brief illness.
Born on July 17, 1918 in the Sandyland community of Union County; she was the daughter of Charles and Vera Murphy Hearin. A homemaker, Audrey also did alterations for Hearin Cleaners and Parkway Cleaners. She was a member of Cross Life Church.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bob and Wallace Hearin, a sister Doris Shelton, and her husband John W. Ambrose.
Survivors are daughters Dixie Becker(Frank)of Mc Kinney, TX, Jeannee Ambrose of Las Vegas, NV, two Granddaughters Lorie Schwartz(Mike)and Amie Swindle (Toby), along with two great granddaughters Lora and Samantha Swindle and a great grandson Jackson Schwartz, and niece Charlene Lopez.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at Rest Haven Memorial Garden with Dr. Dwain Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends at Bailey Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Marcelle Massey Almond, age 86, of Magnolia passed away Wednesday September 1, 2010 in her home. She was born February 24, 1924 in Warren, Ar.
She was a homemaker and a member of Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, Ardis Massey and Robert Almond and one grandson, Jackie Glenn Henderson.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Nancy V. Cruz of Magnolia, Ar; one son, James Massey of McNeil, Ar; two brothers, Billy Hamaker of Houston, Tx; Bobby Hamaker of Houston, Tx; one sister, Maudie Higgins of Warren, Ar; seven grandchildren, Melissa Aden of McNeil, Ar; Shone Dowling, Robert Dowling, Tommy Dowling all of Magnolia, Ar; Traci Miramontes of Hot Springs Village, Ar; Mark Massey of McNeil, Ar; Patricia Ward of Palestine, Tx; twenty nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cletus Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery near Louann, Ar. under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia.
