Gary Lee Schaff

Gary Lee Schaff, 66, of Stephens, Ar. passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Ar. He was born February 12, 1946 in Spearfish, S.D. to Joseph Jacob and Janeatte (Mathews) Schaff.
He was a retired truck driver. He served in the US Army from 1964-1967 receiving a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star with (V) Device, Army Commendation Medal and The Purple Heart. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Gary loved going deer hunting and spending time outdoors.
Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister, Karen Kay Schaff and his mother in law, Elza Floydena Vance.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Schaff; one son, Joseph Schaff; sister in law, Cheryl Vance Brown all of Stephens, Ar. and one niece, Stacy Nicole Brown of Hot Springs, Ar. and extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Monday, June 25, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Stephens, Ar. with Rev. Cedric Walters officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ar.
Visitation will be this Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Mary Elizabeth Tyler
April 28, 1931 - March 1, 2012
Mary Elizabeth (Hampton) Tyler, age 80, of El Dorado, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Oakridge Nursing Home.
She was born April 28, 1931 in Colgate, Oklahoma to David Miles and Margie Lee (Richardson) Hampton.
She left Oklahoma at the age of 8yrs. and was raised in California. Mary spent her life serving her Lord and doing mission work in many different countries around the world. She lived a very full life serving God.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Brenda Tyler of El Dorado, Ar., two sons, Ronald Tyler of Nauvoo, Al. and James R. Tyler and wife, Denise of Visalia, Ca., two brothers, Joe Hampton and wife, Barbara of Terra Bella, Ca. and Danny Hampton and wife, Ellen of Arizona, one sister, Helen Rodgers and husband, Bob of Viola, Ar. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Johnny McGowan

Johnny McGowan, age 47, of Stamps, AR passed away December 5, 2012 after a short illness. He was born June 11, 1965 in Oklahoma City, OK to James Alvin McGowan and Paulette (Timmons) Taylor.
He worked for American Van Lines. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stamps.
He was preceded in death by his Father, one sister, Susan Griffith and his grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Paulette Taylor of Stamps, AR, one sister, Gina Mitchell and husband, Phillip of Village, AR, one brother, Shane McGowan and wife, Dena of Village, AR; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00am, Friday, December 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Stamps, AR with Bro. Mike Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Lamartine Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Bailey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
Bobby Ray Johnson
August 13, 1928 - February 4, 2011
Bobby Ray Johnson, 82 of El Dorado, AR; died on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas following a brief illness.
Born on August 13, 1928 in Frost, TX; he was the son of Perry and Beulah Johnson. Bobby was a long haul trucker until joining the Union County Road Department and retiring after 16 years as road supervisor. He was of the Baptist Faith. Bobby enjoyed Deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Earl, Jess, Tom, Dewy, Walter, and Mike Johnson, sisters Edith Johnson, Margaret Collins and Teet Calhoun, grandsons Jimbo Alphin and William Tylar Johnson, a great granddaughter Kandiss Richard,a son Danny Johnson, and his wife Jean Pierce Johnson.
Survivors are sons Bobby Johnson (Pat) of Houma, LA, Douglas Toby Johnson (Lisa) of El Dorado, a daughter Kay Clinton (Charles) Morgan City, LA, a stepson Dennis Spriggs (Shelia) of El Dorado, stepdaughter Debra Defee (Kenneth) of El Dorado.
Also surviving are grandchildren David Clinton, Debra Richard, Kristie Garner, Bobby Johnson Jr., Katie Landry, Lisa Ingram, Gaige Partain, Winter Johnson, Stormie Johnson, Wyndi Johnson, Autumn Johnson, Jason Alphin, Alicia Bradley, Clay Spriggs, Lindsey Colvin and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Donald H. Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Rhodes Chapel Methodist Churchs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.

Flora Irene Ethredge, age 93 of Junction City, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her home in Junction City. She was born on March 6, 1919 in Bloodland, Missouri to the late Charles Melvin and Nye Nettie (York) Williams. Irene was a retired grocery store owner/operator of both Ethredge Grocery and D&I; Grocery. She was a member of Scotland Presbyterian Church and was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, William D. Ethredge SR; daughter, Sharon Kay Ethredge and by two sisters, Edna Friener and Lela Greenwood.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, William D. “Bill” Ethredge JR and wife Jackie of Vivian, LA; two daughters, Sally A. Walker of Bossier City, LA and Sue Alexander of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren, Sharon Beck and husband Edward of Lelystaad, Netherlands, George Carroll and wife Regina of Katy, TX, Amanda Jimenez and husband Julius of Alexandria, VA, Jared Ethredge of Vivian, LA, Jonathan Ethredge and fiancé Meghan Eisenhardt of Vivian, LA; eight great grandchildren, Dominique Beck, Naomi Beck and Jazmine Beck all of Lelystaad, Netherlands, Victoria Carroll, Matthew Carroll and Joshua Carroll all of Katy, TX, Seraphine Jimenez and Elizabeth Jimenez both of Alexandria, VA.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Scotland Cemetery, near Junction City, with Bro. Mark Kennedy and Bro. Sam Shepperson officiating. Burial will follow the services under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City.
Visitation will be on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Junction City. Memorials may be made to the Scotland Cemetery fund or to the Gideon’s International.

Virgie E. Floyd, 97, of Emerson, Ar. passed away October 22, 2011. She was born October 8, 1914 in Columbia County to Virgil and Barbara (Wilson) Eades.
She was a homemaker and a long time member of Brister Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, J. D. Floyd, one brother and five sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Horace Bradley and wife, Dorothy of Waldo, Ar. and Virgil Bradley and wife, Charlotte of Emerson, Ar., one sister, Margaret Dismukes of Magnolia, Ar., seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Christies Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Eric Goble officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ar.

Jerry Martin Owens

Jerry Martin Owens, 69 of Cunningham, Texas died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at DuBois Medical Center in Paris, Texas.
Born February 19, 1940 in Union County, Arkansas he was the son of Eric W. and Fern Fielder Owens. Mr. Owens worked in the telecommunications industry.
Preceding him in death along with his parents was his wife, Judy Owens.
Survivors include a son, Eric Jason Owens, his wife Buffy and their daughter, Haddy all of Wylie, Texas. Also surviving are two brothers, Olin W. Owens and his wife Anita Burson Owens of Texarkana, TX and Stan M. Owens and his wife Sharon of Junction City, AR and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Hopewell Cemetery with Rev. Richard Tatum officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:00 P. M. Friday evening.
