Bessie 'Billie' Leona Poole

Bessie Billie Leona Poole, 96 of El Dorado, AR, died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Medical Center of South Arkansas following a sudden illness.
Born on September 20, 1915 in Piggott, AR; she was the daughter of John R and Lula Tiny Thompson Nettles. Bessie worked for El Dorado Pharmacy and was a longtime employee of Bell Pharmacy; she was known for her chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches. She was a member of Lawson Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Raymond Nettles, sisters Frances Hill and Drucilla Hawkins, a stepdaughter Margie Hays, great granddaughters Christie McBroom and Buffy Pepper and husband Henry Clifton Poole.
Survivors are brothers James L Nettles of South Berwick, ME, Louis R Nettles of Piggott, AR, sisters Nadine Dowdy of Rector, AR and Mary Katherine Lockard of Coring, AR., granddaughter Linda (Derrell ) Ashcraft, grandsons Robert (Carolyn ) Hays and Dennis (Angie) Hays all of Lawson, AR, great granddaughters Kimberly (Kevin) Smith and Terri (Gary) Williams, great grandson Albert Hays, great great grandchildren Ethan Smith, Will Calhoun, Morgan Lane, Joseph Pepper and Carson Williams, several nieces and nephews along with Mary Sue McKinnon her caregiver.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Lawson Baptist Church with Rev Don A. Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery by Bailey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm. Mary Julia Bryan
July 22, 1926 - July 14, 2012
Mary Julia (Kuchak) Bryan, age 85, of Magnolia, AR went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born July 22, 1926 in Gouldsboro, PA to Gregory and Mary (Kor) Kuchak.
Mary graduated as valedictorian of Coolbaugh Township School in Tobyhanna, PA. in 1944. After school Mary went to work for Sikorsky Helicopter where she maintained maintenance records. It was there that she met the love of her life Harvard. They married September 22, 1945 and spent 66 wonderful years together. In 1948 they moved to Dallas where she worked as a secretary for a number of years at Dunn and Bradstreet. Mary and Harvard later moved to Magnolia, Ar. in 1968 where Mary devoted herself to being a fulltime homemaker raising their children. For many years she was active in Cub Scouts serving as a Den Mother. She was also active in her church where she taught 3rd grade Sunday School Class for many years in addition to working in the church library. She was a current member of First Baptist Church and was formerly a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Harvard Bryan, Sr. of Magnolia, AR; one daughter, Mary Lou and Cary Heard of North Little Rock, AR; three sons, Harvard Jasper Jr. and Donna (Savoy) Bryan of Tyler, TX; Wayne Jennings and Monique (Brown) Bryan of Magnolia, AR; Douglas Ray and Regina (McGee) Bryan of Hockley, TX; one sister, Kay Havelick of Stratford, CT; nine grandchildren and soon to be eleven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Bro. David Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Frazier Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia, AR.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Bryan, Thomas Bryan, Sam Heard, Dan Heard, Bo Renshaw, James Renshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Jasper Heard and Ryan Houx.

William R. "Bob" Selph
December 24, 1936 - March 31, 2012
William R. Bob Selph, Sr., 75, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 in his home. He was born December 24, 1936 in Sparkman, Ar. to Isaac and Martha (Knight) Selph.
He was owner and operator of Selph Cabinet Company in Magnolia. Many homes and offices all over the Arkla Tex are adorned with his craftsmanship, For Those Who Know Quality as Bob used to say.
He was a member of Antioch East Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Louise Selph, one brother, James Eugene Selph and one niece, Debbie Moix.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita Selph of Magnolia, Ar; one son, Robby Selph and wife, Carrol of Texarkana, Ar; step-daughters, Monte Hill and husband, Jackie of Aspermont, Tx; Teri Ware and husband, Floyd of Homer, La. and Patti Gilmore and husband Carrol of Dubach, La; two grandchildren, Drew Selph and Trey Selph of Texarkana, Ar; one great grandchild, Maelee Ann Selph of Magnolia, Ar and numerous step grandchildren, two nieces, Robin Ralston of Atkins, Ar; Pam Dodson of Camden, Ar and his faithful companion, Corky.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Monday, April 2, 2012 at Antioch East Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden, Ar. under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ar.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3-5pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia.
Memorial may be made to Antioch East Baptist Church or Charity of Donors Choice.

Nettie Mae Shorty Tribble, age 96, of Stephens, Ar. passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012. She was born December 27, 1915 in Paragould, Arkansas to John W. and Maggie Josephine (Seay) Smelser.
She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She worked as the Librarian for over 15yrs. at Stephens Public Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Patrick C. Tribble, one son, James Lamar Sonny Tribble, one daughter, Patsy Lavone Hollis, four brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, James Tribble of Stephens, Ar; one sister, Laura Miller of Stephens,Ar; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ar.

Ruby Aldridge Nix

Ruby Aldridge Nix, age 91, of Magnolia, Ar. passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born December 2, 1918 in Waldo, Ar. to Henry and Pearl (Hanson) Aldridge.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church for over 50yrs. Ruby enjoyed working outdoors and spent countless hours caring for her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aubrey C. Nix, one daughter, Dorris Fields, one grandson, Donnie Stiles, one granddaughter, Heather Glass, one sister and five brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Janie Edwards and husband, Doug of Magnolia, Ar. and Francie Richie of Magnolia, Ar; one son, Danny Nix and wife, Cindy of Magnolia, Ar; one sister, Elsie Rowe of Waldo, Ar; thirteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Friday, April 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Magnolia with Bro. David Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Ora Belle Keeling, 89 of Louann died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Timberlane Health & Rehab following a lengthy illness
Born July 13, 1920 in Willow, Oklahoma she was the daughter of Rev. J. R. and Ola Cleo Miller Cecil. Ora Belle was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, needlework, quilting and cooking for her husband and five children. She really enjoyed helping others at a time of need. She was a member of El Dorado Missionary Baptist Church
Preceding her in death along with her parents, were her husband, L. V. Keeling, two daughters, Wyonna Gaye Hodges Parsons and Dorothy Jean Allen, two sons-in-law, Cecil Hodges and Forrest Allen and one sister, Ophelia Norris (Bill)
Survivors include two sons, Carl Leon Keeling (Ann) of Calion, and Earl Edwin Keeling (Carolyn) of Ft. Worth, TX and one daughter, Barbara Ann Keys (Bob) of El Dorado. Also surviving are one sister, Flossie Mae Brown (Walter Lee) of Madison, Mississippi, two brothers, Rev. R. E. Cecil (Coleen) of Corsicana, TX and Norval Lee Cecil (Patsy) of Hamburg along with ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Louann, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home
