Glenn Jackson

Glenn E. Jackson, 81, of Rogers, Arkansas died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born in Park Hill, Oklahoma on February 13, 1931, the son of Irene Williams and Edd Jackson.

He enjoyed playing Blue Grass Music. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for many years. He was a member at Monte Ne Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by Dr. Marshall Jackson.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Jackie Jackson, of the home; one son, Kenneth Jackson, of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Marsha Haley and her husband, Mark, of North Little Rock, Ark.; and one granddaughter, Kristi Jackson.

Memorial service will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. with Pastor Mack Mills officiating.

Honey Lee

Honey Lee, 48, of Garfield, Arkansas died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home. She was born March 21, 1964 in Santa Anna, California the daughter of Lovella Fern Allred Rush and Gordon Leroy Wagner.

She enjoyed cooking and shopping. She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1964. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Wagner.

Survivors include her parents, Lovella Fern Allred Rush and Gordon Leroy Wagner; one son, Douglas Gordon Lee, of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Crystal Ilene Lee of Rogers, Ark. and Amber Skye Reed of Garfield, Ark.; two brothers, Johnny Leroy Wagner and his wife, Patricia, of Huntsville, Ark. and David Ray Reed of Watts, Okla.; three sisters, Mary Ellen Gilly and her husband, Billy Joe, of Springdale, Ark., Carolyn Lovella Bowman of Springdale, Ark., and Debra Lynn Poplin of Lincoln, Ark.; her loving companion, caregiver, and friend, Scott Fierner; and many friends and neighbors and her dog, Cleo.

Bob Conner

Bob P. Conner, of Seminole, Oklahoma was an honest, good man. He grew up with little means and education. He left a small subsistence farm in Oklahoma to make a career in the United States Air Force, where he distinguished himself as an excellent NCO and where he served his Country admirably for 25 years.

He was the best husband, father, provider, supervisor and friend that he was able to be. He was respected and loved by those who knew him in these capacities. He will be deeply missed.

Services will be Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Pleasant Street Church of Christ in Springdale, located at 1020 South Pleasant Street, with Larry Branum officiating.

Anna Vinson

Anna Faye Vinson, 51, of Fayetteville, Arkansas went to join her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home. She was born October 13, 1960 in Mountain View, Ark. to Georgia M. and William H. Callahan.

She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 22 years after moving from Mountain View, Ark. She enjoyed sewing, painting, spending time with family, taking her grand kids to church, loved to cook and bake and watch cooking shows, knitting, and helping others.

Anna is survived by her husband, Ken Vinson; one son, James McIntire, of Elkins, Ark.; two daughters, Jeannie McIntire and Ashley Butler, both of Elkins, Ark.; seven brothers, Walter, Kenneth, Mike, and Ricky, all of Elkins, Ark. and Floyd, Truman, and Buddy, all of Mountain View, Ark.; three sisters, Lola Brown of Mountain View, Ark., Jennie Temple of Elkins, Ark., and Lucille Haley of Pea Ridge, Ark.; three stepchildren, and nine grandchildren; Dustin, Stacy, Gavin, Trinity, Bishop, Bella, Victoria, Destiny, and Sarai.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Elkins Full Gospel Church in Elkins, Ark.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Elkins Full Gospel Church in Elkins, Ark. with Bro. Ray Shackelford officiating.

Pallbearers are David Callahan, Doug Pelfrey, Mike Laird, Marvin Laird, James Laird, and Michael Callahan. Honorary pallbearer is Josh Callahan.

Nancy Foggo

Nancy Jo McElhannon Foggo of Eureka Springs, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Foggo, one daughter, Sydney Elizabeth Foggo; one son, Ian Zephyr Foggo; and many friends and family.

Memorials should be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.

Katherine Mayfield

Katherine Mayfield, 87, died at her home in Rogers, Ark. on Monday, August 13, 2012 as a result of Alzheimer’s. A native of this area, her ultimate career as a nurse practitioner with the Foreign Service took her to many countries around the world. Through perseverance and diligent work, Kay made her life into something she enjoyed.

She was a loving mother, a good friend, and she will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers and the gracious helpers of all kinds at Circle of Life Hospice.

Glenna Zoerink

Glenna Zoerink, 59, of Eureka Springs, Ark. died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Jamestown Nursing & Rehab in Rogers, Ark. She was born January 20, 1953 in West Virginia.

She is survived by many family and friends.

Lavurn Mitchell

Lavurn Ann Mitchell, 72, of Bentonville, Ark. died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born in Arkansas on December 22, 1939, the daughter of Chester and Charlotte Sheppard.

She was a nurse for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Mitchell and two sons, Lonnie and Randy.

Survivors include two sons, James Mitchell of Bentonville, Ark. and David Mitchell of Missouri; two brothers, Ronnie and Lonnie Sheppard; three sisters, Wanda Barnes, Ruth Jones and Marlene Richardson of Bella Vista; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

William Moore

William Eutis Moore of Praire Grove, Ark. passed on to a better place on August 5, 2012 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born in 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the middle son of Harry and Clarice Moore.

Bill grew up on a dairy farm along with his two brothers in Searcy, Ark., finishing his senior year at Fayetteville. At both places, Bill was an outstanding sprinter and quarter miler for the track team. He spent most of his career with The Navy serving, at first, on a Navy gunboat along the rivers of Vietnam where he received The National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He went on to become a navigator on naval aircraft serving on several aircraft carriers. He finished his naval career as a Lt. Commander of Budget Control of the Pacific Fleet in Pearl Habor.

Upon retirement to San Diego, Bill became a mortgage broker and realtor and served on various committees in his local community. He finished his career working as a safety professional in Yosemite National Park.

He held degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the Univ. of Texas and a Master of Science Degree from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monte Rey, Cal.

He had a broad range of interests in just about everything, being a voracious reader of all types of books and taking many classes at NWA Community College after retirement. He enjoyed all aspects of the great outdoors, from mountaineering on Aconcagua in Argentina to running up El Capitan in Yosemite.

Bill was a very likeable and charming person, being able to converse with all types of people. His claim to fame in his last five years in the Fayetteville area was to perfect his mother’s old fashioned brownie recipe and distribute them among friends and church members.

Bill will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include two brothers, Robin and Ruth Moore of Compton and their children and Dennis and Ellen Moore of Prairie Grove and their children.

A memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8 at the First Baptist Church on Rheas Mill Rd. in Farmington, Ark. The family requests no flowers. Any memorials may be made to the charity of their choice.
