DESHA -- Jimmy Beach, 57, of Desha, formerly of West Memphis, died on Wednesday in Batesville.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Peppers Beach of Desha; his son, Brian Beach and his wife Linda, also of Desha; grandchildren, Blake Beach, Logan Brown, and Gayla Brown; and a brother, Junior Beach of Newport.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Roller-Crouch Chapel. Interment will follow in Kyler Cemetery
in Southside.
Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

Arvilla Morgan Cotten
CORD -- Arvilla Morgan Cotten, age 76, of Cord died Feb. 1, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Sherman, Ky., the daughter of Frank Walter and Dorothy Lee Horton Morgan. She was united in marriage to Clyde Cotten. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cotten, in 1982; one brother, Lee Walter Morgan of Arkansas; and three sisters, Edna Davis of California, Arlene Paarman of Arkansas, and Helen Bransecum of Arkansas.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Sue Timbs of Cord; one brother, Donald Morgan of Dexter, Mo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service was Feb. 3 at Hope Well Cemetery
in Cord.
Pallbearers were Cliff Timbs, James Timbs, Sheldon Jones, Robert Melton, and Walter Roddy.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service Inc. of Walnut Ridge.
Joan D. DiGaetano
JONESBORO -- Mrs. Joan D. DiGaetano, age 76, of Jonesboro, formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday at SkilCare Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. DiGaetano was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Chicago and was the daughter of Frank Mader and Julia Craigmile Mader. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Memphis in 2001, was a retired secretary for Sanyo Manufacturing and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was very active and served in the Church Altar Society.
Mrs. DiGaetano married Frank R. DiGaetano in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by two sons, Mr. Frank L. DiGaetano of Jonesboro, and Mr. Michael P. DiGaetano of Cordova, Tenn.; three daughters, Dr. Dolores DiGaetano of Arlington, Tenn., Ms. Joan DiGaetano of Forrest City, and Ms. Susan DiGaetano of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren, Joe McMinn, Andy DiGaetano, Maria DiGaetano, Tommy DiGaetano, Jeffrey McMinn, Jack McMinn, Jarod DiGaetano, Joshua DiGaetano, Joseph DiGaetano, and Gianna DiGaetano; and two great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. DiGaetano will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Forrest City at 11 a.m. today with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jimmy Vaught and Steve Bruzzard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Vaught, Jim Beasley, Ed Chauvin, and Ernie Rosica.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, 1429 Poplar Ave., Memphis, Tenn. 38104.

Dorothy Evalene Grubb
PEACH ORCHARD -- Dorothy Evalene Grubb, age 76, of Peach Orchard, formerly of Rector, was born Oct. 14, 1929, to Thomas and Tollie Moore. She passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, in Piggott Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Coleman "Buster" Grubb of Piggott; four daughters, Retha Booth of Jonesboro, Diane Shelton of Success, Marsha Anders of Peach Orchard, and Dotty Spinks of Clarksdale, Mo.; two brothers, Virgil Moore of Rockford, and Clarence Moore of Charlotte, Tenn.; two sisters, Edith McEylea of Rockford, and Desma Herren of Paragould; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery
in Rector.
Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Garland Thomas Hancock
STUTTGART -- Garland Thomas Hancock, 70, of Stuttgart died Thursday.
Survivors are his children, Thomas Hancock and wife Misty of Paragould, Lloyd Miller of Little Rock, Larry Miller and wife Gail of Mabelvale, and Pam Clark and husband Kevin of Malvern; his children's mother and a true devoted friend to him, Carole Hancock of Stuttgart; one brother, Garfield Hancock of Hot Springs; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 tonight at the funeral home.
Virgil Ernest Hartsell
NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Virgil Ernest Hartsell, 83, of Neelyville, formerly of Paragould, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1922, in Tuckerman, Mr. Hartsell retired from Martin Sprocket and Gear. He was a member of Fellowship Southern Baptist Church in Harviell, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Olene Hartsell of Neelyville; and three daughters, Lavon Pierce of Corning, Loretta Hardin of Neelyville, and LaWanda Hooten of Paragould. He is also survived by two sisters, Parnell Miller and Betty Adams, both of Malden, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Addie Hartsell; two daughters, Lola Morgan and Laverne Warren; one son, Larry Ray Hartsell; one grandson, Ricky Welch; three brothers, Harold Richards, Billy Wayne Richards, and Vernon Hartsell; and by one sister, Dorothy Atchley.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, with Dan Minton and Keith Atchley officiating. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Cemetery

RECTOR -- Funeral services for 73-year-old Harry Highfill of Rector, who died on Feb. 2, 2006, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Irby Funeral Home Chapel at Rector, with Marvin Tate and Larry Jolly officiating.

POCAHONTAS -- Evelyn Pauline Junkersfeld, 87, died Thursday.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin Albert "June Bug" Junkersfeld Jr. of Delaplaine, Otis Lee Junkersfeld of Pocahontas, and Paul Dean Junkersfeld of Eureka, Kan.; a daughter, Anna Pearl Stockwell of Pocahontas; 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at McNabb Funeral Home with a rosary said at 7 p.m.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Marks officiating and interment to follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
