Charles Clifton
Charles Choice Clifton, 83, of Rogers, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born November 28, 1928 in Texas the son of Ora Lee Trantham and Charles Wayne Clifton.
He proudly served his country with the United States Navy where he obtained an Honorable Discharge. He worked with Gulf Oil for over 33 years as an Office Services Manager in Texas. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 28 years after moving from Houston, Texas.
He was a member of the Rogers Noon Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting and golf earlier in his life. He enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with his family in recent years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charles is survived by his wife, Frances Clifton, of the home, whom he married November 28, 1948; one son, Charles Vernon Clifton and his wife, Kathy, of Pearland, Texas; one daughter, Yvonne Bish and her husband, Jeff, of Little Rock, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Bish, Austin Jennings Bish, and Blair Charles Bish.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at First United Methodist Church in downtown Rogers, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in downtown Rogers, Arkansas with Rev. Sandra Wanasek and Rev. David B. Bentley officiating. Interment will be in Houston, Texas at Forrest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Charles Hunter
Charles R. Hunter, 60, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born December 12, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Caskey, and his wife, Donna, of McCloud, Oklahoma.
Danny Sluss
Danny J. Sluss, 59, of Springdale died Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born April 13, 1953 in Johnson County, Kentucky.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by two brothers, two sisters including Carolyn Sluss, of Springdale, Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Full military honors provided by The Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard.
Israel Rogers
Israel Jonathan Rogers, 9 months old, of Glendale, California died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born September 2, 2011.
He is survived by many loving family members.
Lawrence Sall
Lawrence Michael Sall, 90, of Gravette, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Highland Health Care in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three sons, three daughters, one brother, thirteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Edward Cassi
Edward “Eddie” Francis Cassi, 66, of Gravette, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 05, 2012 at his home. He was born August 13, 1945 in New York, New York the son of Theresa Altieri and Gino Cassi.
He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict with the United States Navy where he obtained an Honorable Discharge. He was an electrician from 1972 until 1988. He was a very devoted New York sports fan, and he was very athletic in his younger years. He and his family had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1996 after moving from Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Edward is survived by: his wife; Claudia Cassi, of the home, one son; Michael Cassi, of Gravette, Arkansas, two daughters; Erika Burch and her husband JR, of Joplin, Missouri, Diana Cradduck and her husband Josh, of Neosho, Missouri, four grandchildren; Isabelle Cradduck, Gavin Burch, Daylon Cradduck, and Cooper Cradduck.
A celebration of his life will be Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville, Arkansas. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, Arkansas. Honors were provided by Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard of Rogers, Arkansas.
Memorials to: Patient’s Choice Hospice of Northwest Arkansas.
Dustin Ridenoure
Dustin Hunter Ridenoure, 15, of Garfield, Arkansas died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born March 13, 1997 in Rogers, Arkansas the son of Julie Misener and Michael Ridenoure.
He enjoyed hunting, playing video games, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Pea Ridge JV Football Squad. He was about to enter tenth grade at Pea Ridge High School in the Accelerated Math Program. He had a love for monopoly and earning his own money.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Misener Ridenoure, and paternal grandparents, Mack and Mary Ridenoure.
Dustin is survived by his father and step-mother, Michael and Stephanie Ridenoure, of Gateway, Arkansas; two brothers, Timothy Ridenoure of Rogers, Arkansas and Zachary Gilman of Gateway, Arkansas; two sisters, Jessica Henson and her husband, Wesley, of Pineville, Missouri and Tiffany Gilman of Gateway, Arkansas; two nieces, Ashlyn and Emma Henson; and his maternal grandparents, Truman Misener of Rogers, Arkansas and Martha Williams of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville with Pastor Jim Dixon and Pastor Jeff Dixon officiating. Interment will follow the service at Freedom Cemetery in Winslow, Arkansas.
Honorary pallbearers will be his teammates on the Pea Ridge JV Football Team.
Memorials may be sent to Arvest Bank in his name.
Vicki Edmonson
Vicki Lynn Edmonson, 62, of Elkins, Arkansas died Friday, June 1, 2012 at her home. She was born July 4, 1949 in Marshalltown, Iowa the daughter of Betty Jane Chase and Donald Earl Wolf.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1987 after moving from Cassville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Wolf, of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Vicki is survived by two daughters, Doni Rogers and husband, Chris, of Georgia and Staci Patrick and husband, Tim, of Elkins, Arkansas; one son, Troy Wycoff, of Elkins, Arkansas; two sisters, Sheryl McClamrock and husband, Gary, of Missouri and Robin Gummert and husband, Scott, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
