Homer Robert Case
Homer Robert Case, 79, of Springdale died November 20, 1994 at his home. He was born July 27, 1915 at Fallsville to Joshua Isaac and Bette Estepp Case. He was a retired lumberjack and a member of Temple Baptist Church of Springdale. He was preceded in death by on daughter, Betty Clemebers, and one grandson, Hunter Cline.
Survivors include his wife, Icie Vinda Case of the home, to whom he was married
on oct. 22, 1939; three daughters, Ruby Cline of Springdale, Mary Rankin of Anapolis, Md. and Susie Johnson of Springdale; one brother, Hiley Case of Ashland, Ohio; seven grandchldren, Raymond Rankin of Anapolis, Nancy Rankin of Manassas, Va., Mike Cline, Melissa Clements, John Clements, Daryl Johnson and Robert Cline, all of Springdale; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Elmore and the Rev. Dale Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel of Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Rankin, Mike Cline, John Clements, Daryl Johnson, Robert Cline, and the Rev. Paul Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Rankin, Argus Johnson, Bob Clements, and Eugene Cline.
Icie V. Case
Icie V. Case, 87, of Springdale died February 8, 1998, at a local nursing home. She was born April 6, 1910, in Low Gap to Henry and Mary Frakes Adams. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was retired from Arbor Acres Hatchery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Case; one daughter.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Rankin of Annapolis, Md., Susie Johnson and Ruby Cline, both of Springdale; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Babtist Church with the Reb. Don Elmore and The Rev. Dale Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Rankin, John Clements, Daryl Johnson and Robert Cline. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Rankin, Bob Clements, Argus Johnson, Eugene Cline and Mike Cline.
Elsie Self Casey
Elsie Self Casey died Friday, Jan. 4 (2002) at Harrison. She was born Sept. 13, 1906 in Murray, the daughter of the late George Washington and Thenia Bell Sparks Self. She was a resident of Newton County for 95 years. She was a member of the Boxley Baptist Church.
She and her late husband, Arvel Lee Casey, were well known for the operation of the only steam powered saw mill in the State of Arkansas. In addition they operated a Grocery store at Boxley for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie Clark; a great grandson, Claude Austin Clark; two sisters, Lois Fecko and Myrtle Carpentar; and two brothers, Vearl and Beecher Self.
Survivors include her daughter, Eul Dean Casey Clark of Boxley; a grandson, Kenny Clark of Berryville; three granddaughters, Billie Stinson of Harrison, Kathy Morales of Pelsor and Deanna Young of Boxley; three sisters, Laverne Eoff of Harrison, Modena Thibodeau of Harrison and Mary Jo Lewis of Long Beach, Calif.; 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, Jan. 7 at the Boxley Baptist Church. Burial was in the Walnut Grove cemetery with Rev. Claud Williams and Rev. Charles Taylor officiating.
Pallbearers were Jason Brasel, Joel Brasel, Adam Clark, Stacey Clark, Casey Young and Dustin Waters. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Duty, Norman Flory, Claude Clark, Bill Fowler, Guffrey Young, James Roy Eoff, and Nurses and Care Givers from Home Health Care.
Janice V. Casey
Janice V. Casey, 61, of Clarksville died Sunday, November 5, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was retired, a member of the Salus Free Holiness Church and Order of Eastern Star, and daughter of the late Norman Ned and Elease Voy Murray Henderson.
She is survived by three sisters, Sherry Boen, Pamela Terry and Kutrenia Turner, all of Ozone; one brother, Jay D. Henderson of Clarksville; and several nieces, nephews great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Salus Free Holiness Church with Rev. Robert Boen and Rev. Larry Willis officiating.
Burial will be in Wayton cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Jordan, Wesley Turner, Donnie Terry, Everett Turner, Mike Goni, and Terry Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Henderson, Jeff Carlton, Steven Carlton, Michael Carlton, and Jeremy Boen.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Lawrence Gordon Cate
Lawrence Gordon Cate, 88, of Springdale died March 12, 2001, at Springdale.
He was born April 3, 1912, in Sonora to Stewart and Elizabeth Fink Cate.
He was retired from the grocery business and was a 40-year member of the Odd Fellows and a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie M. Smith Cate, to whom he was married
July 26, 1934; two sons, Glenn Cate and Charles Cate, both of Springdale; one brother, Leo Cate of Springdale; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Dub DeLoach and Gary Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Porter, Earl Cate, Ernest Cate, Dwaine Steele, Harold Gooden and Derek Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Goucher, John Dearman and Dan Lange. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Leo Brack Champlin
Leo Brack Champlin age 85 of Cave City, Arkansas died on Saturday, December 23, 2000 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born on June 28, 1915 at Lilly, Kentucky, a son of Hugh Champlin and Mary Arlena (Bullins) Champlin. He had worked in the timber industry and had lived in Cave City for about three and a half years moving there from Huntsville.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene Champlin of the home; two infant sisters; one daughter of the home; one brother Clyde Champlin of Springdale and three step-mothers, Parylee (Bullins) Champlin of Redstar, Lou (Edgmon) Champlin of Swain, and Nanna Belle (Read) Champlin of Clarksville.
Survivors are one son, Alvis Eugene Champlin of Holts Summit, Missouri one brother, Hugh "Bill" Champlin of Cave City, two grandsons; Toby and Robert Champlin of Springdale, and other relatives and friends.
Services were Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at the Mossville United Baptist Church with Brother James Compton officiating. Internment followed in the Mossville cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
Pallbearers were Arnold Champlin; Fred Champlin; Toby Champlin; Harold Hilton; Jim Youngblood and Coy Willis. Honorary Pallbearer was Gene Harris.
Orpha Barnwell Chandler
Orpha Barnwell Chandler, 80, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002. She was born June 26, 1921, in Hartman, Ark., to Samuel Marion and Stella Thomas Marion.
She worked at the Wal-Mart Printing, Mailing and Distribution Center for several years, retiring in 1989. She became a Christian in her early 20s and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Church near Hiwasse, Ark.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Carthel Barnwell and W. N. 'Pete' Chandler; and a sister, Fran Marion Wood.
Survivors include a daughter, Sonia Barnwell-Londagin of Bentonville; a brother, James Sandlin of Bentonville; four sisters, Doris McBee of Lamar, Mo., Earline Rankin and Rose Mason, both of Bentonville, and Peggy Bertschy of Gravette, Ark.; a granddaughter, Terri Jo Londagin of Rogers, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Church near Hiwasse, Ark., with Jack Sandlin.
Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant cemetery near Hiwasse. Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
James Clyde Chism
James Clyde Chism, 85, of Fayetteville died May 20, 2001, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville He was born June 19, 1915, in Lindsay, Calif., to John Granville and Cora Ellen Stansberry Chism. He retired as the head of the physical-therapy department at Washington Regional Medical Center after 28 years there. He was a member of First Christian Church of Fayetteville and attended the North Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Fay Taylor Chism; one son, Stephen Chism of Fayetteville; two daughters, Laura Meyers of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Susan Hansen of Little Rock; three grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Siddoway of Whittier, Calif.; one brother, Rene Chism of Chico, Calif.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Oakland cemetery in Russellville with the Rev. Thomas Morris officiating. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Mrs. Daphne Lydia Clark
Mrs. Daphne Lydia Clark, 69, Route 1, Springdale, died July 13 in the Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born March 14, 1910 at Kingston, she was the daughter of the Rev. Jim and Scenia Moore Grigg, the widow of Joseph Samuel Clark and was a member of Regular Primitive Baptist Church in Elm Springs.
Survivors include one son, Willie J. D. Clark of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Pennington of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs Lonnie Cook and Mrs. Ettie Thomas of Springdale; and three Grandchildren.
Services were at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 17. She married

Macel Van Brunt Clark
Macel Van Brunt Clark, 89, of Elkins, Arkansas, died May 12, 2001 at Washington Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1912 at Combs, (Mill Creek) Arkansas, the daughter of Smith Harrison and Ada Bell Wood Van Brunt. She was a homemaker, wife, and mother and lived most of her life in Washington County. She was a member of the Elkins Church of Christ and was preceded in death by three sisters; Gladys Gobel, Berniece Spriggs, and Colleen Breschick and twin great grandsons.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Clark of the home. Three sons' Bobby H. Clark of the home, Max Clark and his wife Letha, of Huntsville, Arkansas and Bruce Clark and his wife, Vivian of Elkins, Arkansas. Two daughters, Virginia Harriman and her husband Gerald of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Charlotte Morris and her husband, William I. of Fort Smith, Arkansas. One brother, Elmer Van Brunt of Lompac, California. Three sisters, Dessie Basola and Jean Coffin both of San Diego, California, and Ethel Combs of Whittier California; ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 15 at the Elkins Church of Christ, with Lacy Randle officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gospel Tract Fund International, 4377 East Huntsville, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
Willie J. D. Clark
Willie J. D. Clark, 50, of Elm Springs, died August 8, 1984 at his home. He was born February 8, 1934 at Kingston, the son of Joe and Daphne Grigg Clark.
He was a pressman for the Standard Register Co. at Fayetteville. He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII. Survivors include one sister, Geneva Pennington of Springdale, and three nieces.
Services will be at 2:30 Saturday at Sisco Chapel, burial will be in Friendship cemetery.
Betty Lou Clements
Betty Lou Clements, 49, of Neosho, Mo., died February 6, 1994, at her home. She was born February 9, 1944, in Fallsville.
She was a self-employed cosmetologist and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Neosho. She moved to Neosho from Indiana in 1974.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Clements of the home and to whom she was married
October 10, 1966, in Stillwell, Okla.; her parents, Homer and Icie Case of Springdale; one son, John Clements of Neosho; one daughter, Melissa Brewster of Neosho; three sisters, Mary Rankin of Annapolis, Md., Susie Johnson and Ruby Cline, both of Springdale; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Friendship cemetery at Springdale with the Rev. Alan Brock officiating. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Home of Neosho. Hunter D. Cline
Hunter D. Cline, 18, of Springdale died December 16, 1985 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 15,1967 at Jonesboro, the son of Eugene and Ruby Case Cline. He attended Springdale High School, was a member of the National Rifle Association and was employed by McDonald's. He attended the Westside Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include his parents; two brother, Michael Cline and Robert Cline both of the home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Case of Springdale; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cline of Kingston and his paternal great-grandfather, Alvin Rogers of Kingston.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Nelson's Funeral Home of Fayetteville with Rev. Boyd Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.
