Janollah Payne
PARAGOULD -- Janollah Payne, 85, of Paragould died Jan. 23, 2006, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Greene County, she worked for the Ed White Shoe Company and Ely & Walker Shirt Factory. She was also an Avon representative and former owner-operator of Payne Meat Sales. Mrs. Payne was an active member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 50 years and was a vacation Bible school director. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary and an active member of Gideon's Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Richard Paul Payne Jr., and his wife, Susan of Paragould; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna and Curtis Shatley of Jonesboro, Paula J. and Turner Jones of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Kathy Jo and Rod Coleman of Fort Smith. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Ruth Diggs; her husband, Paul Payne Sr.; and by one brother, Glenn Diggs.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. tonight at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church with Royce Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery. Members of her Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers.

Randal Reddick
CHEROKEE VILLAGE -- Randal Reddick, age 69, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at his home in Cherokee Village.
He was born Oct. 12, 1936, to the late Joe and Florence Reddick in Paragould. He was married for 48 years to Billie Gregory Reddick, formerly of Marmaduke, who survives him. Randal was a member of First Baptist Church in Hardy and an active member of the Gideon Society. Randal retired from McDonnell Douglas after 36 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and playing music. He was a regular player for Hardy Junction Music Hall.
Randal was the father of two daughters, Carrie Farhat and husband Darrell of Plano, Texas, and Kelly Harper and husband Mark of Grove, Okla.; and grandfather of six, Clayton, Casey, Camry and Cody Farhat and Kiersten and Cale Harper; brother of Vernon Reddick of Marmaduke, Jimmy Reddick and Teddy Reddick, both of Paragould, Kent Reddick of Maryland Heights, Mo., Gabby Reddick of Little Rock, Imogene McCartney of St. Peters, Mo., and Glenieve Beaver of Montgomery City, Mo.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. tonight at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.
The family will celebrate the life of Randal at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Heath Colonial Chapel, with Ken Morris and Dr. Larry Kindrick officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
Juanita E. Rook
Caregiver
JONESBORO -- Juanita E. Rook, 80, of Jonesboro died Sunday morning, Jan. 22, 2006, at NEA Medical Center.
Juanita was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Newport to James and Bethel Thompson Pankey. She married Aaron L. Rook on June 22, 1940. After several years of farming, they found the turkey business a more appealing and promising future. The poultry business blossomed in 1959 to also include laying hens. Rook turkeys and eggs were known throughout Jonesboro as the best. After raising her family and retiring from the poultry farm, Juanita decided to further her education. Upon completion of this, she obtained employment as a caregiver with the Jonesboro Human Development Center. She worked with the center for 17 years before again retiring. During her tenure with the center, she received many awards of excellence.
Juanita was a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene. She also was an active member of the Monday night TOPS club.
Juanita was a very loving and devoted mother to seven children. She is survived by four sons, Jerry Glenn Rook, Rickey Dale Rook, Dickey Aaron Rook, and Teddy Lamar Rook, all of Jonesboro; two daughters, Debra Renee Butterfield of Jonesboro, and Mina Karen Davis of Pontotoc, Miss.; three sisters, Inez Riley of Springdale, Imogene Gentry and Sharon Rook, both of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Rook in Oct. 2004; a son, Elwood Lamar Rook; three brothers, Billy Gene Pankey, B.J. Shempert, Bobby Lee Shempert; and a sister, Joy Ann Warren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Home Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Langford-Bookout Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Rook, Aaron Pratt, Barry Rook, Josh Rook, Zac Hutcheson and Heath Minnis.
Honorary pallbearers will include Nick Rook, Jerry Rook Jr., Jason Rook, David Rook and Rick Hutcheson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Melvin O. Weaver
PARAGOULD -- Melvin O. Weaver, 86, of Paragould died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at his residence.
He was retired from Emerson Electric in Paragould, was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner at the Corning Lodge No. 719 and an honorary member of the Paragould Lodge. He was also past district deputy grand master of District 31. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was of the Church of Christ belief.
Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Imogene Hovis Weaver; one daughter, DeLora May; and his parents, Robert and Sina Rapert Weaver.
He is survived by two grandchildren, Tammy L. Aucoin and Steve May of Jonesboro; and four great-grandchildren, Terayn and Mayc Montgomery and Drake and Jackson May, all of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould, with Tim Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. tonight at Heath Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Bill Crabtree, Steve Hovis, Chick DeHart, J.W. Evans, Kenny Farmer, James Eads, and Larry Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Vaughn and Calvin Walker.

Willie Wilford Wright
McKENZIE, Tenn. -- Willie Wright, 61, of McKenzie, Tenn., formerly of Wynne, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He is preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Charles.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Chicago; daughters, Michelle of Brewster, Kan., and Savannah of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Larry; four sisters, Shirley, Carolyn, Linda, and Judy; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Wynne Chapel.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Nola Bernice Copeland
POCAHONTAS -- Nola Bernice Vandergriff Copeland, 75, died Sunday at Randolph County Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Vandergriff; and her second husband, Clifford Copeland.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Vandergriff and Leon Vandergriff, both of Pocahontas; a daughter, Kay Obarts of Pocahontas; a stepdaughter, Freda Smith of Pocahontas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, with Lynn Ables officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Sharon L. Garman Davis
BONO -- Sharon L. Garman Davis, 50, of Bono died Saturday, Jan. 28, at her residence.
She was born in Jonesboro and lived in the Bono area all her life. She had been the NEA Clinic business office manager and a member of Bono Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Davis of the home; one son, Jeffery Allen Davis of Jonesboro; her mother and stepfather, Patsy Pfeifer and J.R. Holman of Cash; her father, Noel Garman of Paragould; three stepbrothers, Danny, Donny and Bobby Liles; and three self-adopted sisters, Barbara Brannen, Patty Caples and Annette Hufstedler.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Edith Pfeifer; Gordon and Eva Garman; stepfather, C.J. Liles; and one stepbrother, Billy Liles.
Pallbearers will be Roger Davis, Mike Dauhin, James Davis, Danny Liles, Clarence Davis, Ricky Dorton, Marty Davis and Larry Brannen.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel, with Donny Liles officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Sheldon Lee Gambill
JONESBORO -- Sheldon Lee Gambill, 62, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Jan. 29, at his residence following a brief illness.
Formerly of Warren, he was born in St. Louis and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was employed for the past 15 years with Schneider National Trucking as a driver.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Harmon Gambill of the home; two daughters, Sharla Gambill of Cherokee Village and Susan Gambill Alexander and her husband Mark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Linda Hoffmann of Conway; and two grandchildren, Grant Alexander and Cara Alexander, both of Colorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winfred Wesley Gambill; and his mother, Roberta Vada Mabry.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Magnolia Chapel at Gregg Funeral Home, with Dr. Michael Harmon, the Rev. Jerry Jolly and the Rev. Arlis East officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark Alexander, Donnie Crawford, Steve Gambill, James Kitchens, Roger Shackleford and Richard Wheeler; honorary pallbearers are the Rev. Gene Gambill, James Gambill, Mid Gambill, Matthew Pennington and Delbert Harlan.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. today in the Orchid Room at Gregg Funeral Home.
