EDWARD WITTENBERG

Edward Leonard Wittenberg, 66, of Cabot, passed away Aug. 15, 2005.

He was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Little Rock to the late Edward and Roberta Wittenberg.

He was a dual member of the Presbyterian and Methodist churches.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Holt Wittenberg of the home; a son, Shane Leonard Wittenberg of Little Rock; one stepdaughter, Sandy Ward of North Little Rock; two stepsons, Kent Gregory Holt of Little Rock and Paul James Holt of Cabot; and one sister, Patricia Brantley-Wittenberg of Little Rock; two grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Grove cemetery in Ferndale.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Presbyterian Church of Beebe or Cabot United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.

RONALD MILLER

Ronald W. Miller, 56, died Aug. 11, 2005.

He was a devout Christian, deacon and lifelong member of Steele Bridge Baptist Church.

He was an 18-year employee of J.B. Hunt Transport and was a veteran of United States Marine Corps where he served his country during Vietnam.

He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Rita; two sons, Raymond and his wife Jennie of England and Dewayne and his wife Stacey of Lonoke; a brother, Jerry and his wife Marilyn of Carlisle; a sister, Shelby and her husband Daryl Clements of Furlow; three grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Lonoke Baptist Church with burial in Lonoke cemetery, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Memorials may be made to Steele Bridge Church, Lonoke or Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman Road, Little Rock.

ROBERT DORLAQUE

Robert James Dorlaque, 72, of Cabot, passed away Aug. 12, 2005.

Born Oct. 19, 1932 in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Fred and Mary Dorlaque.

Also preceding him in death is his first wife, Janice Dorlaque; his second wife, Marilyn Dorlaque, and two brothers, Ed and Red Dorlaque.

Survivors include three daughters, Lana and her husband William McClain of Sherwood, Sandy and her husband Scott Todd of Florence, Oregon, and Barbara and her husband Brian Anderson of Orem, Utah; a son, Robert Allen and his wife Paula Dorlaque of Cabot; a sister, Mary Murphy of St. Charles, Mo.; four brothers, Glen, Virgil and Ollie Dorlaque, all of St. Louis, and Al Dorlaque of Deming, N.M.; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Charles, Mo., with Interment to follow at Calvary cemetery in St. Louis.

Local arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service of Cabot. Missouri arrangements by Paul Funeral Home of St. Charles, Missouri.

H. F. HARVEY

H. F. Harvey, 84, of Beebe died Aug. 13, 2005.

He was a retired employee of the Jacuzzi Co. H. F. served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

He was a member of Beebe First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Harvey, and his daughter, Denise Keeling.

He is survived by two sons, William Harvey of Batesville, Miss., and Steve and his wife Shirley Harvey of Jonesboro; a daughter, Lisa Holmes of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Alcidean Millington of Memphis, and a half-sister, Eunice McCall of Plano, Texas.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Beebe cemetery.

Arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe.

ALVIN HALLMARK

Alvin Hallmark, 84, of Beebe died Aug. 12, 2005.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Beebe First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Adelene Hallmark; three sons, Larry and wife Lynelle Hallmark, Ronny Hallmark and Ricky and wife Lana Hallmark, all of Beebe; four grandsons, Brent, Scott, Cory and Evan; one granddaughter, Rosemary; one great-granddaughter, Addy; one brother, Melvin Hallmark of North Little Rock; one sister, Zelda Schraer of Alvin, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, at Beebe First Baptist Church, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

HARRY NORWOOD

Harry Allen Norwood, 70, of Jacksonville, passed away Aug. 13, 2005 in North Little Rock.

He was born July 16, 1935, in Craton, Neb., to the late Frank and Clara Erinburg Norwood.

He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service.

He also retired from Hiwasse Manufacturing.

He was a reserve police officer with the Jacksonville Police Department.

Harry was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elvina Pickles and a brother, Berna Norwood.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Frank Norwood of Florida, Gary Norwood of Lonoke; step-sons, Ricky and Darrell Butler both of Corning, and Mike Norwood of Virginia; stepdaughter, Linda Wilcut of Corning; a brother, Dale Norwood of Bend, Oregon; two grandsons and four stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by Interment in Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.

JOHN ROACH

John Daniel Roach, 68, of El Paso, passed away Sept. 3, 2005 in North Little Rock.

He was born Feb. 14, 1937, in Little Rock to the late John Robert and Katie Roach.

He married Frances Johnson Oct. 19, 1954, in Little Rock.

Together they had four children and adopted five children.

Preceding him in death were his parents John Robert Roach and Katie McCler Roach; seven brothers: Robert, Calvin, Alan, Hilton, Paul, Floyd and Richard; and one sister, Virginia Bailey.

Survivors include his loving wife for over 50 years, Frances Mamie Roach of the home; nine children: Larry Roach, Linda Roach, Ricky Roach, Melissa Wooldridge, and Gene Roach all of El Paso, Rachel Cash of Cabot, LeaAnn Foshee of Amarillo, Texas, Tiffiny Roach and Carol Adams both of El Paso; two sisters, Charlean Mayfield and Darlene Goode both of Cabot; two brothers: Jesse Roach of Cabot and Jimmy Roach of Rusk, Texas; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sept. 6 at Mt. Springs Baptist Church with Interment at Grissard cemetery in El Paso.

Arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Service 713 South Second St. in Cabot.

CHARLES BUSBY

Charles 'Tommy' Busby, 53, of Cabot, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005.

He was a musician and gardener.

He is survived by two sons, Kenny Busby and Lance Busby and wife, Rene all of Austin; brother, James Busby and wife, Pat of Cabot; sister, Jackie Goodwin and husband, Otis of Cabot; nieces, Shanna Busby and Denise Sword and husband, Mark; nephews, Brett Busby, Bradley Busby, Allen Tucker and wife, Mona, David Tucker and wife, Tanya; great-nephews, Blake Busby, Mark and Mallory Sword, Heather and Bradley Tucker and Jacob Tucker.

Funeral services were Sept. 6 at Austin Church of Christ with burial at Sylvania cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.

LYLE POINDEXTER

Lyle Poindexter, 75, of McRae, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005.

He was retired from Harding University with over 38 years of service in the automotive maintenance department, a farmer and a member of West Side Church of Christ, Searcy.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorene Goff Poindexter; two daughters, Myra Spence and husband, Jamie of Beebe, Stephanie Poindexter Milton of Searcy; three granddaughters, Erica Young, Andrea McCoy and Alicia Scarborough; a great-granddaughter, Ashlynn McCoy; one brother, Phillip Poindexter of McRae; four sisters, Betty Jones of Searcy, Imogene Gardner of Denver, Colo., Leoda Bennett of Jacksonville and Ann McQueen of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovid and Elsie Poindexter and a brother, James Poindexter.

Funeral services were Sept. 6 at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe with burial at Antioch cemetery.

ARCHIE HAMILTON SR.

Archie Clyde Hamilton Sr., 86, of Gravel Ridge, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 6, 2005.

He was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Huntington, Texas, the son of the late Henry and Linnie Hamilton.

He was an active member of the Church of Christ for many years, and was a member of Bailey Street Church of Christ at the time of his passing.

He served in the Army for more than eight years during and after the Second World War in Australia and New Guinea with the 43rd Engineers, and he retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard in Pine Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Archie is survived by his wife of 64 exceptionally loving years, Gladys M. Hamilton, who he met in Pine Bluff; his son Archie 'A.C.' Hamilton, Jr., and wife Edith of Corpus Christi, Texas; his daughter, Deborah Fitt and husband Cliff of Gravel Ridge; two grandsons; Dirk Hamilton and wife Laura of Bryant and Aric Hamilton of El Dorado; one granddaughter, Jennifer Fitt of Ward; one step-granddaughter, Bobbi Sjoberg of Lutsen, Minn.; one great-granddaughter, Grace Hamilton of El Dorado; two step-great-granddaughters; Kristina Grabher and Brandy Kindrick of Bryant; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Trinity Kindrick of Bryant; one brother, H. Wayne Hamilton and wife Dorothy of Huntington, Texas; many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Sinapiades officiating.

Entombment in Chapel Pines Mausoleum.

Funeral arrangements are under direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
