DALE CURRY
Dale Lynn Curry, 50, of Lonoke died Dec. 3, 2005.
He was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Carlisle. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Margaret Curry.
He is survived by his two sons, Adam Bryce Curry of Jonesboro, and Jonathan Dale Curry of Wynne.
He is also survived by a brother, Ken and wife Cindy Curry of Cookeville, Tenn.; sister, Anita and husband Joey Wilson of Lonoke; two nieces and three nephews and close friend Frances Lynn Byrd.
Curry was a member of Lonoke First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Lonoke First United Methodist Church with Interment following in Lonoke cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lonoke First United Methodist Church.

KATHRYN MOSELEY
Kathryn Pauline Moseley, 73, of Cabot, passed away Dec. 2, 2005.
She was born June 23, 1932, in Beebe to the late James Henry Dearman and Mrs. Lillie Mae Dearman.
Also Preceding her in death is one brother, Jerry Sloan Dearman.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Billy Moseley of Cabot; two daughters, Sandy Howard of Jacksonville and Sheila Pierce of Benton; one son, Gary Dobbs of Pahrump, Nevada; mother Lillie Mae Dearman; one brother, James Franklin Dearman of Sheridan; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Church of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville.
Interment immediately followed at Stanfill cemetery.
Arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot.
RAYMOND BERNT
Raymond F. Bernt, 92, of Jacksonville, formerly of Columbus, Neb., died Nov. 23, 2005 at Rebsamen Medical Center in Jacksonville.
He was born Oct. 7, 1913, in Platte Center to Gustav and Theresa (Greisen) Bernt.
He attended District 25 Platte County School.
On Oct. 14, 1937, he married
Catheryn Good in Central City, Neb.
He entered the Navy and served during WWII from 1944 to 1945.
He owned his own sheet-metal business for more than 20 years in Columbus before retiring to Jacksonville in 1988.
He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville and a member of the Order of Eagles.
He is survived by sons, Ronald and wife Connie Bernt of Cabot, John and wife Beth Bernt of Columbia, Mo., and Gustaf and wife Linda Bernt of Beebe; daughters, Judy Davis of Jacksonville and Donna Aldrich of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son, Raymond Bernt, daughters, Marie and Catheryn Bernt, two grandchildren, Ronna and Christopher, and sons-in-law Ed Davis and John Aldrich.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Father Joe Miksch officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure cemetery in Columbus.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Gass Haney Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church or St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
MARY BENNETT
Mary L. Martin Bennett, 87, of Searcy was born to Otha E. and Bertha McCulloch Martin, and died Oct. 30, 2005.
She married
Bernard W. Bennett in May of 1936.
She was a Searcy resident for 56 years and was a co-owner of Bennett’s Furniture and Appliance Center in Searcy for many years.
Bennett was a member of First United Methodist Church in Searcy, a member of Fulbright Sunday School class and volunteered her services in the First United Methodist thrift shop.
She was also active for many years with CARTI in Searcy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bernard Gerald (Jerry) Bennett; her husband, Bernard W. Bennett; her parents; two brothers, James Martin and Louie Martin; and one sister, Evelyn Martin.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Marianne Bennett of Conway; one granddaughter, Lisa Terry and her husband, Jim of Springdale; one sister, Mattie Busick of Beebe; one niece, Bobbye Griffin of Austin; and one nephew, Charles Busick of Searcy.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at Searcy First United Methodist Church.
The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at the church, with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Alvie Southern
Alvie Leon Southern, 76, of Mablevale was called home to be with his heavenly father on April 27, 2005 in Little Rock.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1929, in Carlisle to the late James and Mary Ellen Dennis Southern.
He was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church of Cabot.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 17 years.
He served the city of Jacksonville for 14 years and retired a police captain of investigations.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances Dolorese 'Del' Southern; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Taylor Pinkerton, Patricia and David Stacks of Mabelvale and Letha and Alan Swicegood of Ellabell, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Victory Baptist Church in Cabot with Rev. Ben Leonard officiating.
Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Ursula Polk
Ursula Sue Nunn Polk, 52, of Lansing, Kan., passed away June 26, 2005 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1952 at Fort Hood, Texas, the daughter of Howard and Ilse Kalmering Nunn.
As a child she lived in Germany and Turkey.
She was salutatorian of Jacksonville High School graduating class of 1971.
She graduated with honors from the University of Central Arkansas, where she majored in political science.
In 1976, she received her commission as second lieutenant in the Army.
The Polks were stationed in Germany, where Ursula gave birth to their daughter, Jessica Marie on Aug. 22, 1980.
She received her master's degree in public administration from American University in Washington in 1983.
She graduated with distinction and was admitted to the National Honor Society for Public Administration.
She and her husband were stationed at West Point, N.Y., where both served as assistant professors.
She was one of the first women to teach at the United States Military Academy where their son, John Edward Ronald, was born May 19, 1985.
The Polks were stationed in Panama and participated in Operation Just Cause of 1989.
She participated in both the planning and the execution of the operation and became one of the first post-Vietnam female soldiers to earn a combat patch.
She was an active member and advocate of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Leavenworth, Kan.
She is survived by her husband Fred and son John, both of Lansing, Kan.; and daughter Jessica of Topeka, Kan.
Her mother lives in Jacksonville. Her surviving sisters are Sandra Owens of Covington, Ga., and Angel Hope of Harrison.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Leavenworth, Kan., at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will be at Leavenworth National cemetery at 11 a.m.
