Betty J. Wasson
PEARCY - Betty Jo Wasson, 56, of Pearcy died Sunday, Oct. 13. 2002, in a local hospital.

Born May 10, 1946, at Daisy, Ky., to Ada Marie Williams and William Powell Logan, she was a homemaker. She was predeceased by one brother, Lonnie Logan.

Survivors include her husband, Prentice Jean Wasson Jr. of Pearcy; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Keith and Valleri Glasgow of Hot Springs; two daughters, Brenda Davis of Hot Springs and Karyn Glasgow Smith of Conway; one brother, Fon Logan of Florida; one sister, Ava Courtney of Indiana; and three grandchildren, Avonelle Jean Glasgow, Courtney Elizabeth Davis and Clayton Prentice Davis.

The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Pastor Garland Edwards officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bryant, John Dean, Jimmy Davis, Robert Ransbottom, Randy Smith and Allen Dixson.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Glasgow, Donald Glasgow, Paul Green and Mike Pickett.

Burial will be in Cunningham cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Carl R. Alpers
ROYAL - Carl R. Alpers, 73, of Royal died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002.

Born Sept. 5, 1929, at Traverse City to Henry and Lucie Belanger Alpers, he was a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Alpers of Royal; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Phillip Bovve of Wisconsin, Marcia and Randy Fosmore and Brenda and Bob Johns, all of Michigan; one son, Robert Alpers of Michigan; one sister, Maxine McCloud of Florida; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James and Shirley Alpers and Kneal Alpers, all of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David B. Wilson officiating.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

William G. Black
Services for William G. Black, 55, of Hot Springs, who died Wednesday, November 27, 2002, will be today at nn at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2765 Malvern Ave. Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Samuel M. Brown
Samuel M. Brown, 54, of Hot Springs died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in a local hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Gross Funeral Home.

Cleda R. Fagan
AMITY - The service for Cleda Runyan Fagan, 67, of Amity, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sweet Home Church with the Rev. Bill Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Sweet Home cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today.

Arrangements are by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwd.

Herman Holzschuh
The service for Herman Holzschuh, 95, of Hot Springs, who died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Chuck McAlaster and the Revs. Mike Smith and Rodney Masteller officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Second Baptist men's adult class, Ed and Thelma Vetter and Ken and Naomi Horner and Gideons International.

Burial will be in Morning Star cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.

Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Nancy R. Kyle
The service for Nancy Riley Kyle, 95, of Hot Springs, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel with Brothers Jerry Stewart and Ronnie Vanderslice officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Kyle, Mike Waddle, Brian Waddle, Jeff Waddle, Steven Breshears and Chad Wilcox.

Honorary pallbearers are Pat Powell, Temple of Jesus Name Church, Bates Community Church, Greg Breshears, Roger Coble, Ines Breshears, Brother Jim Wiggly, Sister Teresa Wiggly, Edna Emmett, Dr. Kyle Roper and Dr. Gregory Whorton.

Burial will be in Morning Star cemetery.

Cleo McCauley
DAISY - Cleo McCauley, 93, of Daisy died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at home.

Born Feb. 12, 1909, at Langley to Bella C. and Roxie Morphew Park, she was a member of Mount Joy Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Billy McCauley of Dierks and Ricky McCauley of Newhope; one daughter, Ruby Turner of Langley; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Joy Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Raymond Dees and Travis Garner officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Joy cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Arrangements are by Davis Smith Funeral Home, Glenwd.

Dolores C. Mothershed
MOUNTAINBURG - Dolores Christine Mothershed, 33, of Mountainburg died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in a Hot Springs hospital.

Born June 17, 1969, at Hot Springs, she was a Henderson State University graduate, former Arkansas state health inspector, volunteer Camp Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp counselor and ESL teacher, and member of Southside Baptist Church, Alma.

Survivors include her husband, Justin Sparrow of Mountainburg; one daughter, Alex Henderson of Hot Springs; her father, Earl Mothershed; her mother, Sophia Freeman of Hot Springs; two brothers, Michael Mothershed and Sean Miller of Hot Springs; and two sisters, Rebecca Ple and Lisa Perry, both of Hot Springs.

The service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Esther M. Pate
LITTLE ROCK - Esther Marie Pate, 70, of Little Rock died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Little Rock.

Born Nov. 2, 1932, at Beebe to Charlie and Marie Scott Ball, she was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack E. Pate Sr.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jack E. and Colli McKiever Pate Jr. of Fayetteville; one sister- and brother-in-law, Sue and Wayne Lucky of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Ashlin McKiever Gross of Fayetteville; nieces; and nephews.

The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Atkinson Funeral Home chapel, Malvern, with the Rev. Garland Gable officiating.

Visitation is today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Burial will be in Oakridge cemetery, Malvern.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice Center.

Ollie Reppo
Ollie Reppo, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002.

Born Dec. 19, 1916, to William C. and Charlotte Murphy, she was a homemaker and member of Gardner United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by three brothers, Roy Murphy, C.E. Murphy and Elbert "Buck" Murphy; two sisters, Lola Simpson and Ann Powell; and her husband, Lester Reppo.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Newkirk of Little Rock; one son, Buzzy Reppo of Hot Springs; one sister, Beulah Wilson of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Greg Newirk and Shana Holman; and four great-grandchildren.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery.

The family will be at 2211 Hobson Avenue.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Dierdre T. Ross
ARKADELPHIA - Dierdre Teplow "Dee" Ross, 65, of Arkadelphia died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in a Little Rock hospital.

Born Dec. 19, 1936, at Houston to Harmon and Mariam Coyle Herron Teplow, she was a retired accountant, founder and past president of Clark County Humane Society, past president of AAUW and the Literacy Council, past secretary and treasurer of Arkadelphia Little Theater, graduate of University of Texas and Houston Baptist University and member of First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia. She was predeceased by one sister, Dr. Fenella Shaeffer.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Ross; two daughters, Fenella McDowell of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Mariam Stone of Shoreline, Wash.; three sons, Cameron Ross of Greensboro, N.C., Kimble Ross of Trophy Club, Texas, and Lamar Stone of San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Gail Perkins and Nancy Ross officiating.

Guests will be received at the family home 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clark County Humane Society.

Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
