Mary B. Porter, 84, of Hot Springs died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local hospital.
Born Jan. 27, 1917, at Fayetteville, she was a Majestic Hotel, Resort-Spa cashier and Baptist. She was predeceased by four brothers.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Jerry Patton and Joy and Carl Herrell, all of Hot Springs; one sister, Ruby Warren of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The service will be 2 p.m. today in Hot Springs Funeral Home chapel with Brother Van Glidewell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Billy Herrell, Rodney Herrell, Tommy Patton, Jeff Patton, Mike Patton and Jay Conly.
Burial will be in Morning Star cemetery.
Janet C. Spicer
MALVERN - Janet Ck Spicer, 88, of Malvern died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in a Malvern nursing home.
Born June 23, 1913, at Buckner to Charles and Ether Hamilton Ck, she was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Spicer.
Survivors include six sons, Garland Spicer, Alan Spicer, Richard Spicer and Walter Spicer, all of Oklahoma, and Charles Spicer and Sidney Spicer, both of Malvern; one brother, Freddie Ck of England; three sisters, Elene Foltz of Russellville, Isabella Knighton of Lafayette, La., and Lorene Ck of Little Rock; and grandchildren.
There will be no service.
The body will be cremated.

Carole Anne Stephens, 66, of Hot Springs died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local nursing home.

Opal Conner
GLENWD - Opal Conner, 77, of Glenwd died Saturday, March 30, 2002.
Born May 21, 1924, at Hutchinson, Kan., to the Rev. W.H. "Bill" and Ethel Kelly Watson, she was retired from First City Bank of Houston, a former member of First Baptist Church of Glenwd and member of First Baptist Church of Willis, Texas. She was predeceased by one sister, Willene Watson.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mike Conner of Glenwd; one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Robert Srutka of Willis; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Johnnie Watson of Glenwd and Hubert and Marie Watson of Houston.
The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Glenwd, with the Rev. Erby Burgess officiating.
Pallbearers will be Henry Miles, Larry Mitchell, Durwd Mayo, Alex Smith, Billy James and Tim Watson.
Burial will be in Glenwd cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today.

Services for Joye Goslee, 59, of Hot Springs who died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at a local hospital, will be at 4 p.m. today at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Brown officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy Riva, Joe Goslee Jr., Joe Goslee Sr., Jeff Hunter, Clint Goslee and Steve McClard.
Honorary pallbearers are the doctors and staff of the fourth flr of St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center.

ROYAL - James W. Haley, 77, of Royal died Saturday, March 30, 2002, in a local hospital.
Born Nov. 15, 1924, he was a retired Hot Springs Fire Department shift commander and member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma White Haley of Royal; one son and daughter-in-law, James Anthony and Susan Haley of Hot Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Bill Martin of Hot Springs, Alice and Ted Donovan of Bridgewater, N.H., and Mary Ellen Haley of Little Rock; and six grandchildren, Steven Haley, Dillon Haley, Hannah Haley, Haley Martin, Will Martin and Riley Donovan.
The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Dr. Jimmie L. Lancaster Jr. and Bill Sietz officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Hot Springs Fire Department/Retired Hot Springs Firefighters, James White, Richard White, Johnny Anthony, Tripp Lyell and Jim Black.
The body will be cremated.
Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Ferncliff Camp.

She was born Dec. 31, 1936, at Hot Springs.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Neuwirth of Grass Valley, Calif.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Martin Simanton of Hot Springs and Donald and Phyllis Simanton of Bismarck; two sisters, Lisa Simanton and Laura Garcia, both of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Shelia Lamera; and two great-grandchildren.
The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Caruth-Hale Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Tillery officiating.
Honorary pallbearer is Community Counseling Services staff.
The body will be cremated.

Lewis O. Traver, 78, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1923, in Henry, Ill., to Grant and Alice M. Traver. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Padgett Lee Westerfield, 80, of Hot Springs died Sunday, March 31, 2002.
Born April 4, 1921, at Tuckerman, he was a retired Chevy-Oldsmobile dealer in and helped in the progress of Hazen and Malvern, member of First United Methodist Church and Malvern Chamber of Commerce, 32nd degree Mason and sponsor of boys and girls softball and bowling teams.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Osborne Westerfield; three daughters, Sharlene Tullos of Cabot, Rhonda DeJarnatt of Van Buren and Aria Westerfield of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Matthew DeJarnatt, Tony DeJarnatt, Julie Love and Andy DeJarnatt; four great-grandchildren; and two stepsons, Jeff McDonald of Los Angeles and Bob McDonald of Little Rock.
The service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. David Wilson officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today.

DELIGHT - Mary Ann Bugg, 90, of Delight died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, in a Texarkana hospital.
Born Aug. 1, 1912, at Hot Springs to Albert J. and Bertie Hill Evans, she was a homemaker and member of Bowen Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilford Bugg Sr.; and one grandson, Larry Gene Bugg.
Survivors include two sons, Horace W. Bugg Jr. of Hope and Ronald G. Bugg of Hot Springs; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nephews; and nieces.
The service will be 2 p.m. today in Latimer Funeral Home chapel, Murfreesboro, with Brother Austin Missey officiating.
Burial will be in Delight cemetery.
