Wayne Ellis Russell, 68, of Fayetteville died Friday December 18, 2009 in Fayetteville. He was born June 1, 1941 in Oakland, CA the son of Charles and Bessie Russell. He retired from the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Russell of the home; daughter, Shannah Wilcox and husband, James of Springdale; his brothers, Richard Russell of La Grainge, CA., Lloyd Russell of Chicoot, CA, and a sister, Betty Dennis of Freemont, CA and several step-children.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Patrick cemetery in Madison County with Reverend H.M. Shipp officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Lucy Virgina Smith, 81, of Greenland died Saturday February 27, 2010 in Springdale. She was born August 6, 1928 in Altus, Arkansas the daughter of Ben and Laura Alice Knick Middlebrook.
She worked for Standard Registor for 28 years and attended Woolsey Community Church and also was an avid Bowler; loved Blue Grass Music and travel to several concerts throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert T. Smith, son, Coy Ray Burton; 3-brothers, Horace Middlebrook, Porter Middlebrook and Paul Middlebrook; 1-sister, Myrldhene Cottrell and 1-nephew, Bobby Middlebrook.
Survivors include, 1-son, Porter Smith and wife, Mary of Hogeye; 4-grandchildren, Jermey Burton, Ben Burton, Britney Smith and Robert Smith; 4-great-grandchildren; 5-nieces and 1-nephew.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harvey Morter officiating. Burial will be in Baptist Ford cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Cora Terry, 85, of Fayetteville died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at North Hills Life Care & Rehab in Fayetteville. She was born February 1, 1924 in Huntsville, AR. to William Denver Forester and Bertha Ellen Phillips Forester. She had been employed at Washington Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Johnson Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Samuel Terry.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Davis and husband Ray of Fayetteville; sister, Daisy Mayes of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Trinda Wood and husband Tim of Springdale; grandson, Duane Davis and wife Martha of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Coleman and Cory Wood and Raelyn and Denver Davis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Beard’s Chapel with Mr. Larry Culbreath officiating. Burial will be in Stuckey cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday at Beard’s Chapel.

J. C. Austin, 67 of Fayetteville, AR died Friday, December 18, 2009 in Weatherford, Texas. He was born June 8, 1942 in Dos Palos, California to Charlie Lewis Austin and Clytie Morris Austin.
He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962, was a member of Hope Freewill Baptist Church, and retired as an auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Doris Austin of the home; 3 daughters, Kathy Ram of Los Banos, CA, Dana Brady of Dos Palos, CA, Stephanie Phillips of Greenland, AR; 3 brothers, Charlie Lewis Austin of Fresno, CA, Clyde Austin of Dos Palos, CA, Oavie Riley Austin of Newburg, MO; 2 sisters, Frances Mariani of Firebaugh, CA, Vivian Austin of Auster, CA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Beard's Chapel with Brother Ernie Imler officiating. Private burial will be handled by Beard's Chapel in Tuttle cemetery.

Ruth Juanita Harrison Collins, 94 of Springdale formerly of Elkins died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born September 26, 1915 in Witter, Arkansas to Walter Harrison and Frances Kennan.
She was employed and retired as a school teacher. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Springdale and was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle and parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances and her husband, Emmett Profitt of Springdale; sister, Helen Williams of Springdale; 4 nieces; 1 nephew and numerous cousins and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00AM, Monday, December 21, 2009 at McCord cemetery in Elkins with Pastor Kent Stone officiating under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 4PM.

Geraldine 'Jerry' Faye Foster 81 died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Born August 5, 1928 to Amos Jordan and Anna Patrick Jordan. She was a life long resident of Elkins, Arkansas. Her husband Walter E. Foster and one son Michael Edward Foster preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her father Clifford Amos Jordan.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. David (Laura) McCleland of Farmington, Arkansas, her mother Annie Jordan of Fayetteville. Grandchildren Brandy McCleland and fiancé Alex Henle of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Anthony McCleland and wife Kristi of Bentonville, Arkansas. Two great-grandchildren Tyler and Brooks McCleland. She was blessed with and helped raise five sisters: Janie Williams, Florence Garriott, Joy Ashworth, Janis Myers and June Long. Numerous nephews, nieces and their spouses loved her.
She will be cremated and no services are planned.

Lester 'Junior' Hankins, 80, of Elkins died Tuesday January 26, 2010 in Elkins. He was born December 16, 1929 in Patrick, AR the son of Lester and Sarah Rogers Hankins.
He was a member of Crystal Hill Family Fellowship and retired as a Orchard Manager in Washington and Garden Department for Walmart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Hankins in 1998.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra Edens and husband, Shawn of Huntsville; 1-brother, Bob Hankins of East Wenatchee, WA; 2-granchildren, Jessica Marie and Daniel Eugene Smith both of Huntsville.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Beard’s Chapel with Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Valley cemetery.

Irene Haskins, 76, of West Fork died Thursday November 19, 2009 in West Fork.
She was born February 4, 1933 in Ball Creek, the daughter of James and Grace Hawkins Ball.
She had worked as a waitress in the Restaurant Business for a number of years.
She attended the West Fork Assembly of God and was a member of the Fayetteville Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Haskins.
She is survived by 3 sons, Ronnie Curry, Mike Shea and Mark Shea all of Fayetteville; 1 daughter, Jodie Easter of West Fork; 1 sister, Fern Taylor of Farmington; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Boatright officiating.

He was born December 18, 1960, in Fayetteville the son of Murry Samuel and Billie Joe Walker Johnson. He was employed by Hutchens Construction Company in Road Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Barnes Johnson of Tontitown; his daughter, Shannon Johnson of Carl Junction, MO; his son, Colton Johnson of Tontitown; 2 sisters, Vickie Traxler and Patricia Murry both of Fayetteville; 1 brother, Buddy Johnson and wife, Susan McCord of Fayetteville; 3 grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beard's Chapel. Pallbearers are Olan Perry, Darrell Thomson, Ed Powell, Leon Drain, Phil Hutchens and Cecil Case.

Walter Franklin Losey, 85, of Fayetteville died Sunday November 22, 2009 in Springdale. He was born Oct. 9, 1924 in Garfield, Kansas the son of H.G. and Amelia Ware Losey.
He was a member of the Sequoyah United Methodist Church, 3rd degree Master Mason and a 32 degree Scottish Rite; and member of Military Order of Purple Heart and the Fayetteville POW Chapter. He was a Veteran of World War II, served in the 422 Regiment of the 106 Infantry Division, and was wounded and captured at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for the Farmers Cooperative for 28 years where he served as manager most of his career.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Andrews Losey
Survivors include his wife, Alice Losey and her daughter Anna; his children, Susan O’Malley, (Michael) of Little Rock, Steven Losey, (Rosa) of Fort Worth, TX and Greg Losey, (Deborah) of Midlothian, TX; sister, Kathyrn Javier of Garfield, KS; six grandchildren, Kyle O’Malley ( Alicia), Meghan O’Malley, Bradley and Andrea Losey, Marie and Michelle Losey.
Funeral Services 11:00 AM Wednesday November 25, 2009 at Sequoyah United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Garfield cemetery in Garfield, KS under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
