Lelia Maria Day, 48 of Fayetteville died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1961 in Medellin, Columbia to Coronden Pelaez and Lucy Cortes.
She was employed by Washington County as a deputy real estate assessor for several years. According to her family, she was very hardworking, faithful, successful, a loving wife and mother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Day of the home; 2 daughters, Kathleen Casamayor, Angelica Casamayor both of Fayetteville; son, Steven Casamayor of Fayetteville; 2 step-sons, Eric Day of Siloam Springs, Ryan Day of Hilliard, Ohio; 4 sisters; 1 brother and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 2 to 4PM on Sunday.

Donna Sue Frazier, 51 of Fayetteville died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Fayetteville Health and Rehab. She was born November 13, 1958 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Donnie Lee Drain and Ethel Williams Drain.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Frazier of Prairie Grove; son, Randy Frazier of Lincoln; daughter, Tammy Beach of Lincoln; mother, Ethel Drain of Prairie Grove; 3 sisters, Sharon Bartlett of Lincoln, Debbie Farmer of Cincinnati, AR, Janis Frazier of Pineville, MO; 2 brothers, Donnie Wayne Drain of Lincoln, Ray Dean Drain of Prairie Grove and 4 grandchildren.
No visitation is scheduled.
Private burial will be in Prairie Grove cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
A memorial service will be handled at a later date

Mae Ellen Hampton, 86 of Fayetteville died November 1, 2009 at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale. She was born February 17, 1923 in Rogers, Arkansas to J. Munce Grimes and Roxie Elizabeth Ritchey Grimes.
She was a 1940 graduate of Rogers High School. She married
William 'Gene' Hampton in Abilene, Texas on August 29, 1942. She was employed as assistant music editor for a Gospel Publishing House for 22 years. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Assembly of God for 25 years.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William 'Gene' Hampton of the home; 4 daughters, Martha E. Truman of Prairie Village, KS, Sonya R. Sears of Fayetteville, Eugenia Ann Huffman of Fayetteville, Esther Mae DeVault of Prairie Village, KS; 2 sons, David Eugene Hampton of Billings, MO, Jonathan Edward Hampton of Bentonville; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Fayetteville National cemetery with Reverend Darren Rogers and Reverend James Huffman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6PM, Wednesday at Beard's Chapel.

Arthur C. Jablonski, 90 of Fayetteville died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1919 in Albion, New York to Frank Jablonski and Mary Kapella Jablonski.
He graduated from Albion High school in 1939. After graduating high school, he joined the Army Air Corp. He served during World War II and retired after 21 years as Major.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Helen Jablonski of the home; 3 sons, John, Jan and Jay Jablonski all of Fayetteville; 2 daughters, Susan Christman of Prairie Grove, Cathy Breshears of Sand Springs, OK; brother, Edward Jablonski of Albion, New York; 2 sisters, Marion Gifaldi of Holley, New York, Bella Marcinowski of Medina, New York; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Keely Riddle, Elaine Christman, Samuel Christman and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2:00PM, Monday, November 30, 2009 at Fayetteville National cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.

Jackie 'Jack' Luper, 78, of Fayetteville died January 11, 2010 in Fayetteville. He was born July 5, 1931 in Springdale, the son of Jesse and Mary Wilkerson Luper. He served in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service; member of Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayetteville; member of National Association of Letter Carriers; first Umpire in Chief for Fayetteville Softball; avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Also longtime Usher for all Razorback Athletics.
Survivors include his wife Pat Luper of the home, to whom he married
, May 11, 1951; 2-sons, Terry Luper and wife, Janice of Fort Mill, SC and Jim Luper and wife, Judy of Fayetteville; 1-daughter, Julie Stroud and husband, Jeff of Springdale; 1-sister, Jo Shoebridge of San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren, Hannah Byrum, Jessica and Jennifer Luper, Josh, Hillary and Alyssa Luper, Jackie Stroud.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday; January 14, 2010 at Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Reverends David Fleming and Von Dell Mooney officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

Sue McKay, 75 of Lowell died Wednesday at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
She was born March 3, 1935 in Chula, Arkansas the daughter of Addison Kilgore and Lillian Parker Kilgore.
She worked in the food service department with the University of Arkansas for several years before retiring.
Survivors include2 daughters, Martha Ann Mitchell of Fayetteville, Becky Carter of Lowell; son, Doug McKay of Fayetteville; sister, Nidra Rohrbach of Fayetteville; 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Marisa Ladue and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 12:00PM, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Beard's Chapel with Chaplain Bill Wheeler officiating.

Wilma Ruth Moren Samuel, 80 of Fayetteville died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at North Hills Life Care and Rehab in Fayetteville. She was born September 22, 1929 in Lowell, Arkansas to James Andrew Moren and Alma King Moren.
She married
Lawrence Elmo Samuel on January 12, 1946. She was employed by Beall’s Department Store in Paris, Texas for several years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkins, AR.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Elmo Samuel of the home; 2 daughters, Marlene Jeffus and her husband, Jeff of Wesley, AR, Lea Ann Kirby and her husband Jim of Rogers; 2 sisters, Clara Lea Birk and her husband, George of Springdale, Dorthea Diel of Montrose, CO; sister-in-law, Wilma Samuel of Fayetteville; 2 grandchildren, Scott Jeffus and his wife, Shaunna, Lora Beth Zeitz and her husband, Pete and 3 great-grandchildren, Alexia, Sam and Ellie.
Graveside service will be 10:00AM, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Clifty cemetery with Reverend Rex Griffin officiating under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.

Thelma West, 76, of Fayetteville died Friday January 15, 2010 in Fayetteville. She was born January 13, 1934 in Canehill, AR the daughter of Hobert and Susie Buchanan Deffebaugh. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, William R. West Sr. of the home to whom she married
July 25, 1955; 1-son, William R. West Jr. of Fort Smith; 2-daughters, Robbie Peterson of Fayetteville and Darlene Mahone of Maumelle, AR; her twin sister, Velma Perry of Fayetteville and sister, Ella Mae Chism of Little Rock, AR; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 21, 2010 at Combs Street Church of Christ with Bro. Irvine Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Fayetteville National cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4-6 P.M. at Beard’s Chapel.

Rosemary Westphal, 93, of Fayetteville, died November 27, 2009 at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville. She was born in St. Cloud, Wisconsin and moved to Northwest Arkansas from Illinois in 1979.
Her career began in an insurance office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she met her husband, Bill. After raising her family, she helped in Bill’s travel agency for several years then became office manager for the Director of Development at Northwestern University. When Bill passed away, she moved to Northwest Arkansas where her daughter, Mary Ann, lived and became an active member of the community and St. Raphael Catholic Church. She volunteered her time with the Springdale Hospital Auxiliary, AARP’s tax aide program, the Shiloh Museum and the League of Women Voters.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice 'Bill' Westphal. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Westphal of Springdale and Nancy Neuer of Portola Valley, California, and by her son-in-law, Bob Neuer.
Services were held on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory handled the cremation arrangements.
