Matthew Brett Coven, 35, of Sherwood was born April 18th, 1975 in Spokane, Washington and went into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 18th, 2010. Matthew was a loving husband and devoted father who loved God and his family. He was an active member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church and participated in many church activities including the church sponsored sporting leagues. He also served in many local schools helping struggling children and families in need.
Matthew is survived by his wife Morgan and their children Carter, Tucker and Miles. He is also survived by his parents Gary and Melissa Brett Coven, his brother Christopher Coven and wife Gretchen of Sherwood and his sister Taryn Coven also of Sherwood, two nieces Whitney and Andrea and a nephew Michael, and grandmothers Florence Brett of Corvallis, Oregon and Louise Coven of Sherwood. He is also survived by his mother and step-father in law Wayne and Beverly Ruthven of North Little Rock and father in law Lowry Foster of Evergreen, Colorado as well as a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers L.L. Coven and Robert Brett.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Coven Children’s Fund which may be made at any Centennial Bank location.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 at 2: oo pm at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church 7351 Warden Rd. Sherwood, AR 72120-5097 (501) 835-0860. A private burial will follow at a later date.

Earline Washburn, age 74, of Cabot, Arkansas, was born November 24, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Earl and Dorothy Brown, and died August 14, 2010. She was retired from Internal Revenue Service and was a member of Briarwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Robert Washburn (Debra) of Cabot, Arkansas, grandchildren, Jeffrey Washburn (Lacey) and Deanna Washburn, of San Antonio, Texas, Teresa Kemp (Chad) Bryant, AR., Christie Bartelt (Johnny)of Cabot, AR. and great grandson Tyler Washburn of San Antonio, Texas, Zachary and Carson Kemp, of Bryant, AR. and Neil Bartelt of Cabot, AR., ; one brother, James Earl Payne, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a sister, Donna Kay Colyer, of Science Hill, Kentucky, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Charles Washburn, her Parents, Earl Brown and Dorothy May McGee Payne, her sister, Shirley Ann Leigh, and her stepfather, Earl Payne.
She will leave behind many good friends and neighbors, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. 72117 (501)835-3515. Marion Louise Moody, 79, of Jacksonville, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. She was born on March 7, 1930 in St. Louis, MO to the late John Sanford and Mamie Williams. Louise was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Jacksonville; where she volunteered. She also attended and was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her dogs, gardening, traveling and playing cards. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Charlie Punch, and two husbands, Kermit Vinson and Edward Moody.
She is survived by five children and their families Larry Smith of Rogers, AR; Randell Smith of Nashville, TN; Greg Smith of Hoxie, AR; Anita Meridith of Sherwood, AR and Duane Vinson of Hendersonville, TN; a sister Wanda Counts of Pocahontas, AR; five stepchildren; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Memorial service for Kathleen King, 79, of North Little Rock, will be at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service in the Funeral Home foyer.
Kathy King died August 27, 2009 in Little Rock.
Kathy was born in North Little Rock, on July 17, 1930 to Judd Cullens and Willie Mae Diffee. She was a native of North Little Rock.
She graduated from North Little Rock High School and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance Agency and after retiring her and her husband Bill enjoyed years living on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs before settling in North Little Rock. They spent a lot of their time traveling with friends to Arkansas Razorback football games. Kathy was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her father, Judd Cullens.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray King; mother, Willie Mae Diffee; two sons, Bobby Diffee and wife Oma, Clay Hamilton and wife Debby; three grandsons, Robert Diffee, Gabe Hamilton and wife Ree of North Little Rock and Hunter Hamilton and wife Terrah of Memphis, TN.

Kenneth Hayden

Kenneth Woodrow Hayden, age 94 of Jacksonville shook hands with Jesus May 31, 2013. Mr. Hayden had been hospitalized at the Arkansas Hospice Ward at St. Vincent's in Little Rock. He was born December 13, 1918 in Hannibal, Missouri to the late Gene and Zadie Hayden. On 11 January 1941, Mr. Hayden entered the Army Air Corp, soon to be the U.S. Air Force. In his 26 years of service to his country he saw combat duty in WWII flying as a B-17 crew member receiving many awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He also saw duty as maintenance support in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Hayden married
Maysel McAlpin his wife now of 69 years on December 11, 1944. They are members of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife, Maysel Hayden of the home; four children, Joe Hayden of Jacksonville, Brenda Sutton of Bruce, Mississippi, Karen Madison of Anchorage, Alaska and Twila Hayden of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Pete Hayden of Rockford, Illinois.
Please join the family for funeral services on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ronald Raines officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Amberly Renee Red, age 30, of Hazen, passed away March 25, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Raper; father-in-law, Lynn Red and grandmothers Leona Red and Peggy Raper.
Renee is survived by her husband, Leander Red; three children, David Austin Red, Christopher Dylan Red, and Jayden Elizabeth Red; mother, Donna Perry Glaze; mother-in-law, Maurisa Whittenburg; nephew Taylor Huggs; grandparents, Robert and Gussie Perry and Lamar Raper along with several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Renee attended Hazen School, was a member of Jr. Beta Club and the Hazen High School Flag line. She was a graduate of UAMS with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2006. She was employed by St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Renee had 3 goals in life and they were to get married
, have children and become a nurse. Renee was a very loving and caring wife and mother. She loved and cherished Leander and her children. She was a very compassionate person. She was strong and determined. She battled cancer and managed to get through nursing school to help better her family. Although she left this world at a young age, she left behind a legacy of strength and endurance for her children to be proud of and follow. She also loved and enjoyed her two little dogs. Renee was an accomplished poet and enjoyed writing.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at Brown Grove by Bro. Billy Booth. Burial was in Walters Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Ingle, Richie Ingle, Greg Tenison, Chris Perry, John Perry and Phillip Perry. Arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
Evelyn Welch Nick
Evelyn Welch Nick of Beebe, Arkansas, was born March 3, 1926, to Nannie Page Welch and Dee Welch, and she died Monday, March 23, 2009. She married
William Nick, Sr. during World War II, on August 25, 1942, and started theirfamily in Beebe. They were married
over fifty years when Bill died in 2004. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lou Kee.
Bill and Evelyn were hard workers. They worked hard in hand raising their children, operating Nick’s Garage (their family business for over forty years) and serving the City of Beebe and its volunteer fire department for 40 years. Evelyn did a wonderful job balancing family, work, community and church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beebe.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Chief William D. Nick Jr. and Clarence A. Nick, both of Beebe. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, David Kee of St.Louis, Missouri, Darren and Darrell Kee of Beebe, Chris Nick of West Memphis, Marci Hartle of Beebe, Mary Kate McArthur and Demetria Sledge both of Beebe; and 10 greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Julius Welch of Ward, Wayne Welch of Des Arc and Ivan Welch of Hickory Plains; two sisters, Margaret Herbert of Beebe and Sue Menser of West Point.
She will be remembered for her determined spirit and love for her family and friends. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. .
John M. Huffstickler Sr.
John M. Huffstickler Sr., 75, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009.
He was retired from Harding University and a member and Deacon at Beebe Church of Christ and the grounds keeper. John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
John is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, John Huffstickler Jr., and Phillip Huffstickler.; two grandsons, Zachary Logan Blagg and Phillip Huffstickler Jr., and two brothers, Billy Jack and Elbert Huffstickler.
John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda; two daughters, Heather Huffstickler of Beebe and Beth Conner and husband, Robert, of Searcy; two sons, Morgan Huffstickler and wife, Rhonda, of Foreman, and Jordan Huffstickler of Beebe; one brother, James Richard Huffstickler of Des Arc; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Beebe Church of Christ. The family will have a private burial.
