Mary Evelyn Cornett
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Mary Evelyn Cornett, 79, died after a long illness Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Azalealand Nursing Home.
She was a native of Missouri and lived in California. Later in life, she moved to Arkansas, where she was employed at Darling Manufacturing. She attended the Church of Christ at Center Hill until moving to Savannah in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey. She is survived by her only child, L. Lynne Sides, of Savannah.
Memorial services will be private. Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home of Savannah is in charge of arrangements.

Levada Nell Hall
GOSNELL -- Levada Nell Hall, 69, a resident of Gosnell Healthcare in Gosnell, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
She leaves three daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Larry Smith, and Yolanda and Todd Elliott, all of Armorel, and Desiree and Johnny Welch of Holland, Mo.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville with visitation from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Marion Henry
HORSESHOE BEND -- Marion Henry, 92, Horseshoe Bend, died Dec. 17.
Surviviors include two nephews, Kevin W. Collins of Naperville, Ill., and Jim Collins of Chicago; and a niece, Janet Potter of Des Plaines, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Collins; husband; brother, James Collins; and sister, Loretta Collins.
Funeral will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, Horseshoe Bend. Burial will be in Evening Shadows Memorial Park with arrangements by Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday.
Augusta Marie LaFollett
HORSESHOE BEND -- Augusta Marie LaFollett, 81, of Horseshoe Bend died Monday, Dec. 19, at Cherokee Village.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn White of Edwards; three sons, Larry Tomlinson of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Loren Tomlinson of Chillicothe, Ill., and Jimmy LaFollett of Peoria; two brothers; two sisters; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlan E. LaFollett; a son; and her stepfather.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Franklin Baptist Church at Franklin, with arrangements by Cherokee Chapel of Hardy.
Broadus Lyles
HOUSTON, Texas -- Broadus Lyles, Houston, died Dec. 16. He was a utility worker for Exxon Mobil, a Mason and member of Lakewood Church.
Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Lyles of the home; sons, Broadus Eric Lyles, Minneapolis, and Nickey Cunningham, Houston; daughter, Kenya Owens, Memphis; sister, Laverne Lyles, Memphis; brother, Norfleet Strothers, Atlanta; one grandchild.
His parents and a son preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Grace Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home at Jonesboro.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday.
Doyle McDonald
MORRILTON -- Assistant Chief Doyle McDonald of the Morrilton Fire Department suddenly passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, at his home. Chief McDonald was a Vietnam veteran and had 30-plus years in the fire service. A fire department funeral is planned.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Morrilton Junior High Gym. Take I-40 to Exit 108, south on Hwy. 9B (right at first stop light), right onto Poor Farm Road (second stop light), first right into parking lot.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church at Morrilton.

BLYTHEVILLE -- Jim Nowlin, 79, of Blytheville, a former employee of Littrell Ford, died Tuesday in Baptist Memorial Hospital East at Memphis.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Martha Burke Halsell Nowlin, of the home; his children, Eugene Nowlin of Leitchville, Ky., Judy Gray of St. Louis, Marta Fiorello of Niceville, Fla., David Halsell of Sedalia, Mo., and April Crockett of Collierville, Tenn.; one brother; four sisters; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10 a.m. Friday in Cobb Funeral Home at Blytheville, with visitation from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
J.T. Orr
ASH FLAT -- J.T. Orr, 83, of Ash Flat died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Fulton County Hospital.
He was an Army prisoner of war and a member of First Baptist Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Orr; sister, Goldene Norris; and relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophia Orr; son, John Boothe Orr; brothers, Wayne Orr and Clifton Orr; and sisters, Faye Nix, Virgie King and Gladys Davis.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland. Burial will follow in Wiles Cemetery.
Bill Perry
RAVENDEN -- Bill Perry, 81, died Tuesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Imboden Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Lucian W. and Pearl Wells Perry, a son, Bob Alan Perry, and a sister, Virginia Bassett.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Young Perry, of the home; one daughter, Carol Gray Hutto, of Clinton; one sister, Katherine Perry, of Ravenden; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Randolph Memorial Gardens with Pat Hovis officiating. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at McNabb Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Bragg, Jeff Payne, Jack Joynes, Dwight Hutto, Butch Dail and Jack Dail.
Jimmy Edward Wellborn
POCAHONTAS -- Jimmy Edward Wellborn, 42, of Pocahontas died Sunday, Dec. 18. He is survived by his mother, Irene Wellborn of Pocahontas; one son, Dean James Wellborn of Pocahontas; two sisters, Helen Irene Britton of Phoenix, and Dana Elizabeth Wellborn of Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, William Eugene "Billy" Wellborn of Pocahontas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Cox-Waymon Funeral Home of Pocahontas. Visitation will be Friday from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home before service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for final expenses.
Reva Pauline Carter
MARKED TREE -- Reva Pauline Carter, 81, of Marked Tree passed away Friday, Dec. 23, at Three Rivers Nursing Home in Marked Tree.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Black Oak Baptist Church in Black Oak Community with interment following at Potter Memorial Cemetery
in Lepanto. Bros. Frank Bufford and Jesse Hodges will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Black Oak Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James Carter, of Marked Tree; five daughters, Mary Hayse of Marked Tree, Janette Osment of Trumann, Reva Ferguson of Little Rock, Elisa Justice of Wynne, and Tammy Pritchett of Greenville, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Earl Carter.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Black Oak Baptist Church.

JONESBORO -- Hunter Kyle Coggins, infant son of Sarah Langston and Daniel Coggins, died Thursday at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Kenneth Curtwright Sr.
PARAGOULD -- Kenneth Orval Curtwright Sr., 71, of Paragould passed from this life Dec. 21 at his home.
He was born June 10, 1934, in Manila, Mississippi County. He moved to Flint, Mich. after graduation at Greene County Tech in 1953 and worked at the Buick Motor Division.
He was a Southern Gospel Singer and sang with the Gospelairs -- which changed its name to The Calvaryman Quartet -- for 15 years. He then moved back to Paragould and worked at L.A. Darling and Arkla. He owned Ken's Quality Carpets and also worked at AR-MO Homes. He was also an M.C. and founding member of the Songsmen Quartet for 3 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Marie Clubb Curtwright.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jean Black Curtwright; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Gene Curtwright of Paragould, Kenneth O. Jr. and Debbie Rosse Curtwright of Jonesboro, and Edward Lee and Trudy Curtwright of Paragould; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Marie Curtwright and Kevin Clark of Paragould; six grandchildren, Samantha Carol Hague of California, Megan Marie Curtwright, Brandon Mark Clark, Brittney Nicole Clark, and Brooke Daniele Clark, all of Paragould, and Matthew Rosse Curtwright of Jonesboro; and one great-granddaughter, Tabitha Analese Hague of California.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Heath Colonial Chapel with Bro. Shannon Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Heath Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Charles Woodson, Alton Barnett, Rick Mann, Rick Curtwright, Ken Curtwright, Ed Curtwright, Kevin Clark, and Brandon Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Curtwright, Gaylon Gammill, Buddy Mann, Tracy Bacon, Ed Rayburn, Ray Crutchfield, Jim Glasco, Charles Glasco, Calvin Prestage, and Robert Sparks.
