S. Wayne Ray
June 28th, 1936 - February 6th, 2016 (79 years old)
Rev Wayne Ray, 79, of Hector stepped into his new home that he made reservations for over 50 years ago, when he asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin and to be his Lord and Savior. He praised and prayed without ceasing, keeping his heart ready for the rapture or grave. Wayne was an ordained Assembly of God minister. He pastored, and filled in wherever God opened a door, he and his wife walked in. He loved working for God. Wayne took Gods word as it says; sin is sin, there will be no excuses. He would say to you today, where do you stand with Jesus, have you asked forgiveness? Are you living the word of God? If not, you are missing the mark. Wayne was a great man of God and a loving family man. He cherished his wife, Mary, of 59 years and treated her as a gift from God, they were always together. They raised two sons; Kenneth and Joe (Pam), they are a blessing; six grands; and 13 great grands, were the apples of his eye. He shared his parents, Tracy and Sonara with 15 siblings. Special thanks to all that have come from far, wide, and local; it warms our hearts. Arkansas Hospice, you are the best, thanks for all the food, flowers and kind words. Renee Heflin, words cannot express how the family thanks you for all the hours you have helped. Thanks to all who are officiating. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 2 PM at Broussard Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Rock Springs. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Broussard Funeral Home.
