Ann Heisler
NEWPORT -- Ann Heisler, 46, of Newport died Friday at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her father and two daughters.
She is survived by one son, Billy and Crystal Heisler; her mother, Betty Elliott Wilson; three brothers, Ernest Elliott, Kenneth and Omalee Elliott, and Nick and Susan Elliott; and two grandchildren, Maryann and Gunner.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Pentecostal Church at Newport with burial in Cheshier Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. today at Dillinger Funeral Home of Newport.
Mary Alice Hodge
JONESBORO -- Mary Alice Hodge, 86, of Jonesboro died Saturday morning at her home.
Born at Jonesboro, Mrs. Hodge lived most of her life here. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Highland Drive Christian Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She was also a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship and was a Deaconess emeritus.
Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hodge; a granddaughter, Christy Pickering; her parents, Starling and Hazel Douglas Wood; six brothers; and 3 sisters.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Mary Lou and Jerry Pickering of Jonesboro; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Sharon Lofton of North Little Rock; a sister, Fannie Lou Milam of East Pointe, Mich.; a brother, Albert Warren Wood of Beebe; five grandchildren, Holly Fendley, Michael Lofton, Bryan Lofton, and Valerie King, all of North Little Rock; and Leslie Boone of Wynne; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Boone, Caroline Boone, and Tess Boone, all of Wynne.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highland Drive Christian Church with Brad Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Doug Wood, Jim Reed, Paul House, Richard Burns, Elbert "J.R." Pierce and Bob Smith.
Honorary pallbearers include the elders, deacons and deaconesses of Highland Drive Christian Church, and nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Charlotte Morton Lassiter
NEWPORT -- Mrs. Charlotte (Morton) Lassiter, 66, of Newport died Friday, Dec. 16.
She was born Feb. 9, 1939, the daughter of Lee and Celestine (Dawkins) Morton.
Survivors include her husband, Charles G. Lassiter of Newport; a son, Billy Russell Tinsley of Byhalia, Miss.; a daughter, Chelia Mount of Tuckerman; three stepsons, Howard Lassiter and Phil Lassiter, both of Newport, and Larry Lassiter of Cabot; a brother, Lee Morton of Hernando, Miss.; a sister, Cindy Poe of Southaven, Miss.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gary Money
DIAZ -- Gary Money, 51, of Diaz died Thursday at Batesville.
Mr. Money was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Money, and brother, Jimmy Dewayne Money.
Mr. Money is survived by his mother, Bobbie Fisher and husband Hugh Elmer Fisher; one daughter, McKenzie Money of Jamestown; one sister, Vickie Turner of Bradford; and four nieces.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Clinton Hardy Murray
MANILA -- Clinton Hardy Murray, age 66, of Manila died Saturday in St. Bernard's Medical Center at Jonesboro.
Born in Freehold, N.J., he had been a longtime Manila area resident and a retired cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Irma Greene Murray; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Doris McCallie Murray of the home; two sons, Clinton H. Murray of Lancaster, Pa., and Dewayne Swafford of Manila; four daughters, Teresa Fleeman of Manila and Kim Denlinger, Janet Long and Debbie Roe, all of Lancaster; one brother, Charles Murray of Lancaster; three sisters, Rachelle Killian and Edna Reed, both of Lancaster, and Joyce Eberly of Epherta, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with the Rev. James Chipman officating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening in the funeral home at Manila.
James 'Sherman' Ryan
SEBRING, Fla. -- James "Sherman" Ryan died in his home at Sebring, Fla., on Dec. 15.
He was 70 years old.
Born Nov. 20, 1935, in Jonesboro, he graduated from Valley View School in 1953. He moved to Flint, Mich., in 1953 and worked as a supervisor for General Motors until his retirement in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Iva Gene Ryan of Jonesboro. He has three children, daughter Cheryl Leech; and sons Michael Ryan and Scott Ryan, both of Michigan. He has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Ryan Mills of Jonesboro; brother Jerry Ryan of Michigan; and sisters Martha Talarico and Glenda Youmans, both of Michigan.
Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. today at Sharps Funeral Home, Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Mich. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
Manley Benton Bailey
RAVENDEN -- Manley Benton Bailey, 82, a World War II veteran of Ravenden, died Saturday in St. Bernard's.
He was preceded by two daughters, Anna Price and Brenda Bailey; and one sister, Sybil King.
He is survived by his wife Imogene of the home; five sons, Gail and Roger, both of Ravenden Springs, Harold of Ravenden, Donald of Bono and Carl of Germany; one daughter, Carolyn Roney of Walnut Ridge; two sisters, Mildred Dail of Ravenden and Aldean Hogan of Pocahontas; one brother, Cleo Bailey of Ravenden; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ravenden Springs Baptist Church with Howard Pankey officiating. Interment will follow in Janes Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
Ernest 'Ernie' Blair
JONESBORO -- Ernest "Ernie" Blair, 92, of Jonesboro died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. David Schaller officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Piccola Mae Adams Boone
PARAGOULD -- Piccola Mae Adams Boone, 87, died Saturday in Paragould.
She was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Boydsville, the daughter of the late Thomas and Rosie Rust Carmon.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Bug Adams and Melvin Boone; son, Billy Gene Adams; grandson, Victor Wayne Adams; brothers, Jim, D.B. and Cliff Carmon; and sister, Vera Branson.
She was a member of Lake Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and John Mullins and Shirley Jackson; daughter-in-law, Amy Adams; sister-in-law, Pauline Carmon; grandchildren, Rick Jackson, Debbie Maddox, Brenda Parker, Susie Winchester, Pam Bryant, Penny Mullins, Randy Mullins, Billy Adams, Keith Taylor and Kristie Foster; and several nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home.
Graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greene County Memorial Gardens with Carter Grindstaff officiating.
