Ralph Guess, 90, of North Little Rock, died June 4, 2003.
He was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Padget of North Little Rock; his son, Bob Guess of Sherwood; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were Monday at Huson Funeral Home Chapel, Sherwood, with interment in Edgewood Memorial Park.

Jack McWilliams
Jack McWilliams, 88, of Sherwood, died Friday.
Survivors: his wife of 66 years, Frances Bridges McWilliams; two daughters, Pat Lewis of Fayetteville, Barbara Young of Collierville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday, Robinson’s Chapel. Interment, Memorial Park cemetery.
Clyde C. Priest
Clyde C. Priest, age 90, of Arkadelphia died Saturday, June 7, 2003.
He was retired with 30 years of service as a medical photographer for the Veterans Administration in North Little Rock and was a member of the Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Faye Ward Cerrato Priest; two sons, Billy Clyde Priest of Paron, and Bing Edward Priest of North Little Rock; two stepsons, M. Russell Cerrato of Arkadelphia and Guy Edward Cerrato of Sherwood.
Graveside services were June 9, in the Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, with Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in charge.

Gathalou Arrington
Gathalou “Gus” Arrington, 64, of Sherwood died June 4, 2003.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bill; daughters, Kim Hearne and Kelli Pena; four grandchildren; and a brother, Forest Owen.
Funeral was Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Delores Jean Davis
Delores Jean Davis, 72, of Jacksonville died Sunday, May 18, 2003.
Survivors include her husband, Sam; daughters, Amber Hughes of Ward, Dawn Miraglia of Jacksonville and Dana Murdock of Sherwood; sister, Phyllis Morgan of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 22, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
Marion C. Quillin Jr.
Marion C. Quillin Jr., 77, died May 14, 2003.
He was a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church in Sherwood, a 32nd Degree Mason, and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynelle Quillin; a daughter, Sandy Thomas; three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, Sherwood. Burial was in White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy. Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, was in charge.

Eunice Carlisle
Eunice Caroline Carlisle, of Sherwood, died May 16, 2003, at the age 75.
She was retired from AT&T. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church and Past Worthy Matron of Pulaski Heights Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Vaught; son, Bill Carlisle, Jr. and daughter, Lucy Carlisle; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Stewart.
A celebration of her life was held Sunday, May 18, at Sherwood First Baptist Church, with interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock, was in charge.

Jewelene White
Jewelene “Candy” White, 69, of North Little Rock died Wednesday, May 14, 2003.
She was a member of Damascus Spiritual Church.
She is survived by her husband, Henry White Jr.; 11 children, Carolyn White of Alexandria, Va., William White of Norwalk, Ohio, Barbara White of Houston, Texas, Arlene White McDonald of Huntsville, Ala., Donna White Campbell, Pamela, Anthony White and Alicia White Stewart, all of North Little Rock, Marilyn White Brown and Elton White of Little Rock, Tina White Smith of Sherwood; five brothers, Joe, Johnny, William “Capp”, and Charles Wayne of Little Rock and Adam Wayne of Oakland; three sisters, Dorisene “Tee” Taylor, Earnestine Pettus, Odie Wayne and one adoptive sister, Erma Fields; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children.
Funeral services were May 19, at Damascus Spiritual Church, North Little Rock. Services entrusted to Robinson Mortuary, North Little Rock.
Janie Lou Worrell
Janie Lou Worrell, of Sherwood died May 17, 2003, at the age of 72.
She was a retired LPN and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Worrell; daughter, Nikki R. Lynn; son, James Kent Worrell, all from Sherwood ; sisters, Norma Jean Lyon of Warren, and “Pumpkin” Kapp of Biloxi, Miss.; brother, Bobby Byars of Texas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 20, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock, with interment following in Griffin Leggett Rest Hill Memorial Park.
Judy G. Crume
Judy G. Crume, age 62, of Little Rock, died May 24, 2003.
Her working career included secretary in the marketing department of Union National Bank and in 1982 she joined the staff at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as secretary to the managing editor. Raised in the Jewish faith, Judy later became a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Cody Lawrence of Hot Springs; one son Michael W. Crume of Little Rock; one daughter, Catherine C. Wallace of Wilson, N.C.; one brother, Richard Green of Sherwood; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Thursday at the Oakland cemetery, Jewish Section. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or The American Cancer Society.
Jimmy Farrel Joslin
Jimmy Farrel Joslin died May 24, 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Sue; and son, Jimmy Farrel Joslin Jr., both of Pine Bluff; one grandson; one sister, Shirley Woodard of Sherwood; one brother, Darrel Joslin of England.
He was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church. He was well known in the Pine Bluff area for his work in the Dollarway Upholstery Shop, where he and his wife reupholstered furniture.
Funeral was May 28, at Wilson Funeral Home in England, with burial at the Mulberry cemetery in England.
Mary Martin Clark
Mary Martin Bell Clark, 89, of Sherwood, died Thursday, May 22, 2003.
She taught at the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind until her retirement.
Graveside service was Saturday at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
Patrick Lee Best
Patrick Lee Best, of Sherwood died May 24, 2003, at the age of 31.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Best; two children, Lakin and Kyndall Best; his mother, Betty Best; his father, Henry Best and step-mom Kathryn Best; grandmothers, Betty Lee Best, Pearline Worthington; one sister, Rhonda Hasley; two brothers, Quinn and Allen Best; half-sister, Tiila Pickett; stepbrother, Bruce Nassar.
A celebration of his life was held Monday, May 26, 2003, at Sherwood First Church of the Nazarene, with interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Lewis “Bud” or “L.A.” Bunch, 88, of Little Rock died May 19, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Lewis Bunch Jr. of Rogers and Charles Bunch of Little Rock; two daughters, Dorothy Eagle and Mildred Sawyer both of Little Rock; a brother, Edgar Bunch of Sherwood; a sister, Ellen Crawely of Little Rock; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
He was a landscaper.

Carolyn Sue Clark
Carolyn Sue Bauer Clark, 56, of Sherwood died May 27, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Max E. Clark of Sherwood; two daughters, Somer R. Clark-Day and Shannon N. Clark, both of North Little Rock; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arba Bauer of North Little Rock; her brother, Ralph A. Bauer of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Carolyn, an active member of First United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school and chaired the Care Committee. She was a fund-raiser for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, bringing toys to children receiving chemotherapy every Easter and Christmas.
A celebration of her life was held Thursday, May 29, at First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. Roller Owens Funeral Home was in charge. Burial was at Rest Hills cemetery.

Ethel Campbell
Ethel Campbell, 109, passed away April 29, 2003 in Sherwood.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Campbell, and one daughter, Linna O.Neil. She is survived by one niece, Mildred Rouse of Sherwood as well as four great-nieces and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was also a lifetime member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and was chosen Woman of the Year at the age of 100.
Graveside funeral services will be Friday at Graceland cemetery in Pine Bluff at 10 a.m.

Gloria Faye Taylor, 59, died Sunday, April 27, 2003.
Survivors: husband, Raymond Dale Taylor of El Dorado; daughters, Donna Bunn and Michelle Taylor of Crossett; sons, Gary Bunn of Sherwood and Michael Taylor of El Dorado; brothers, Marvin, Donald and Robert Duncan; two grandchildren.
