Thomas B. Lyle
Thomas B. “Tommy” Lyle of North Little Rock, died June 20, 2003, at the age of 59.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Maumelle.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geneva Rush Lyle; daughter, Licia Wood of Sherwood; son, Tommy Rush Lyle of North Little Rock; two grandsons; one step-grandson, sisters, Barbara Adams and Billie Faye Lyle both of Benton, and Sharon Collins of Laona, Wis.

Graveside services were Monday at Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
J.L. Lawson
J.L. “Lee” Lawson, 81, of Sherwood died Friday, June 20, 2003.
He was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God, Rock Creek Mason Lodge, and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Lawson; two daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Arlington, Tenn., Linda Willis of North Little Rock; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Funeral services were Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Maggie Irene Webb
Maggie Irene Webb, 85, died June 21, 2003.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Wesley Webb; two daughters, Carolyn Webb Cash and Evelyn Webb, both of Sherwood a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
She was a Baptist.
Graveside services were June 24 at Sumner cemetery, near Cabot.

Mamye E. Fisher
Mamye E. Fisher, 71, of Sherwood, died recently.
She is survived by sons, Howard L. Fisher Jr. of Sherwood, Charles A. Fisher of Saulsbury, Tenn.; brothers, Ralph and Ray Haynes; sisters, Crystal Eoff, Dorothy Moore, all of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
She was buried in Chula Vista, Calif.
Catherine Pettis
Catherine Pettis, 78, of Sherwood died June 19, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Johnson of Gary, Ind., and Tyree Pettis, Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; and one sister, Margaret Roberts Thomas of Harker Heights, Texas.
Funeral services were held at Will Acklin Chapel, with burial following at Oakland Fraternal cemetery.
Rayburn F. Powell Jr.
Rayburn Franklin “Franky” Powell Jr., of Alexander died June 23, 2003, at the age of 49.
He was a member of Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene in North Little Rock.
He is survived by his parents of Conway; one daughter, Jamie Finkbeiner of Alexander; two sons, Jeffrey Powell of North Little Rock and Joseph Powell of Sherwood; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held Thursday, June 26, at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock, with interment in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Charles Denny
Charles Wesley Denny, 80, of Sherwood died July 29, 2003. Denny served three years in the Army Air Corp in England and Germany. He retired from the FBI in 1982 after 36 years of service. He was an active member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church and was a charter member of Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge #754 in Sherwood. He recently received the Pillar of Solomon award from the Grand Lodge of Arkansas. He was also a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite of Little Rock.
Survivors include his wife Mabel Denny; one daughter, Cheryl Leah Bischoff; two sons, Charles Wesley Denny II and Philip John Denny; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 14502 Cedar Heights Rd, North Little Rock (501) 851-2563 with Bro. Charlie Winters officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
A Masonic ceremony will be held at 7p.m., Friday Aug. 1, 2003 at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, (501) 835-3515 with a visitation from 7:30 until 9 p.m. following the ceremony.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Cedar Heights Baptist Church.

Lois Irene Yarbrough, 88, of Conway, died Monday, July 21, 2003.
She was a dietary aide at Conway Memorial Hospital.
Survivors are her sons Larry Yarbrough of Charlotte, N.C., George Ronald “Ronnie” Yarbrough of Sherwood, Robert Earl “Bobcat” Yarbrough of Greenbrier; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Louise Bailey, Eunice Richardson, James Loveless, William “Bill” Loveless, Chester Loveless, Eugene Loveless, Charles Edward Loveless.
Funeral was Thursday at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
Peggy Jean Hastings
Peggy Jean Hastings, age 78, of Beebe died July 21, 2003.
She was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beebe, where she served as treasurer for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe Hastings; two daughters, Peggy Gay of North Little Rock and Karen Regan of Sherwood; two sons, Lloyd and Mark Hastings of Beebe; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patty Burns of Beebe.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, North Little Rock, with interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and Iris Society.
She is survived by her husband, Herman, of 54 years; two sons, Mike and Stephen; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Driedric and Sheila Troillett; five grandchildren.

She was a member of Lynchview Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Hobert Welch Jr. of Memphis, Tenn. and Timothy Welch of Sherwood; two grandchildren; and a brother, Billy Grantham Sr. of Morrilton.

Nancy Ann Coffman
Nancy Ann (Steward) Coffman, age 56, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2003. She was of the Roman Catholic faith, homecoming queen and majorette for Sylvan Hills High School in the 1960s, and an art major in college. Nancy loved arts and crafts, cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Coffman; three children, Dinah Bain and her husband Jack, Patrick Woodall, Jacquelyn Jennings and her husband Jason; four grandchildren, Casey, Kelsey, Haley and Sydney; and many other family and friends.

She was a retired purchasing agent for Am Tran and a member of the Pilot Club of Conway. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Malott of Little Rock; three brothers, Bill Johnston of Midway, Texas, Bobby Johnston of North Little Rock, Lonnie Johnston of Sherwood; one sister, Erkle Jones of Vilonia; and two grandsons. Owen Lee Jones
Owen Lee Jones, 92, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Little Rock and a member of Westwood Masonic Lodge No. 353 F. & A.M., Little Rock. He is survived by a daughter, Betty Olivia Greene of Sherwood; and a brother Mars E. Jones of Bella Vista.
Funeral services were June 14, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel.
Steve Dillon
Steve Dillon, 46, of Sherwood, died Sunday, June 15, 2003.
He was retired from the Little Rock Police Department and currently employed by Hum’s Hardware and Rental.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of Fraternal Order of Police. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christie (Ison) Dillon; son, Jeremy Dillon of Sherwood; two daughters, Jennifer Fason of Beebe, Hayley Dillon of Sherwood; mother and stepfather, June and W.J. Walker of Little Rock; brother, Terry Dillon, of Jacksonville; sister, Sandra Dillon of Little Rock; and one grandson. Memorials may be made to the Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church, Conway, with burial in Mt. Chapel cemetery.
Mark Ledbetter Sr.
Mark Douglas Ledbetter Sr., 43, of Cabot, died June 8, 2003. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sherwood. He was the owner/operator of One-Eyed Jack’s Tattoo Studio in Cabot and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Buchanan Ledbetter; daughters, Jessica Lynne Belmarez and Elizabeth Joy Ledbetter; son, Mark Douglas Ledbetter, Jr., all of Cabot; and daughter Kimberly Hendrickson of Little Rock; four grandchildren; one brother, Wade Ledbetter of Little Rock.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 13, at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
