James R. Barentine
James R. Barentine, 78, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 12, 2003.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was also a retired pharmaceutical salesman for Archer Drug Company.
He is survived by one son, David J. Barentine of Frederick, Md.; and one daughter, Lisa Gay Lee of North Little Rock; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Barentine of Montgomery, Ala., and Doyle Barentine of El Dorado; two sisters, Wilma “Billie” Hinkson and Alice Cathey, both of Sherwood.
Funeral services were Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Cabot. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.
Myrle M. Glosson
Myrle M. Glosson, 85, of Sherwood died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003.
She had been a seamstress with Sears.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Gentry and Billie Loe; two brothers, Homer and John Manasco; one sister, Clara Mae Mosley; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Nov. 15, at First Assembly of God Church with burial in New Rosemont Memorial Park. Roller-Ballard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Samuel B. Urton Jr.
Samuel Britton Urton Jr., 15, of North Little Rock died Nov. 11, 2003.
He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and attended North Little Rock East Campus as a ninth grader. He played basketball with the Arkansas Wings organization and was a member of the Lakewood Futbol Club, “Fire,” soccer squad.
Survivors are his parents, Sam Urton, formerly of Jonesboro and Paula Catalina Urton, formerly of Turrell; a sister, Rachel Urton; and his grandmother, Dorothy Catalina of West Memphis.
A memorial fund has been established at Twin City Bank, all branches. Donations will also be honored by the American Heart Association.
Funeral was Saturday at Park Hill Baptist Church, with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge.
Steven D. Ferguson
Steven David Ferguson, of Sherwood, died Nov. 14, 2003 at the age of 34.
Steven was a member of Mercy’s Cross Church in Sherwood.
He is survived by his mother; daughter, Alexis Taylor Ferguson of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Scott Ferguson of Chicago, Ill.; grandmother, Ruby Morgan of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Memorial services were Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 at Mercy’s Cross Church, 208 E. Kiehl Avenue, Sherwood, with Bro. Randy Norman officiating.

Vovoam Taldo, 90, of Sherwood, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, the Builders Sunday School Class and Beta Alpha Chapter of Chi Sigma sorority.
Funeral services were Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Pinecrest Memorial Park by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
Sharon Kay Lee
Sharon Kay Lee, 59, of Atkins, formerly of Hoxie, died Sunday, October 3, 2004 at her home
She was born May 31, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville Shackelford and Imo Pugh; a brother, R.L. Shackelford; and a sister, Betty Marsh.
Survivors include a son, David Lee; Atkins; a daughter Michelle Lee, Atkins; and two grandchildren, Russell Autry and Heather Autry.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Lemley Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
Gloria G. Robison
Gloria Germaine Robison, 78, of North Little Rock, died Oct. 13, 2003.
She retired as secretary to the president of Midwest Video in the Tower Building in Little Rock after 40 years of service. She is survived by her son, Jay M. Robison, and daughter, Debby Monroe, both of Sherwood; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, with entombment in Calvary cemetery. Phillip L. Arbour
Phillip Lawrence Arbour, 82, of Mayflower died Oct. 9, 2003. He was a World War II veteran, serving in Japan with the U.S. Army 82nd Chemical Battalion. He was a former Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mayflower Post, and a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. He spent his career as a professional photographer, owning studios in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Memphis. He is survived by his son, Harry Vines of Sherwood; daughter, Patricia Alles of Greeley, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Graveside services were Oct. 14, at the Little Rock National cemetery. Marge D. Claussen, 66, of Hide-a-Way, Texas, formerly of Little Rock, died Oct. 8, 2003. She was a longtime employee of Brandon House Furniture in Little Rock. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Claussen; two daughters, Cindy Kergoat of Tyler, Texas, Nila Burt of Columbus, Ga.; son Richard Harvey of Little Rock; stepdaughter Karen Powell of North Little Rock; two stepsons, Michael Claussen of Pine Bluff, Randy Claussen of Sherwood; and seven grandchildren. Joan K. Schwartz
Joan K. Hardin Schwartz, 71, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Sherwood, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003. She was a dental hygienist. She retired from the Veteran’s Administration Medical System having been a dental hygienist at Ft. Roots Medical Center. She also served in the education department at John McClellan Medical Center where she taught instrumentation.
She was a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church of Hot Springs Village. Survived by her husband, Donald A. Schwartz of the home; two sons, Michael D. Hardin of North Little Rock, Matthew J. Hardin of Little Rock; one daughter, Jane E. Ledbetter of Fayetteville; one brother, James V. Kell of Hollis, N.H.; two sisters, Gene Smith of Mt. Grove, Mo., Nancy Beard of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leland Scott Robins
Memorial services for Leland Scott Robins, 51, of Strawberry, formerly of West Memphis, who died Sept. 1, 2004, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, will be Saturday, Oct. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Strawberry Church of Christ, with Bill Wheeler officiating. A family gathering will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Crittenden Memorial cemetery at West Memphis. Bryan Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements.
Virginia H. Hall
Virginia H. Hall, 81, of North Little Rock died Nov. 2, 2003.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sylvan Hills Chapter #602, and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Barbara Zarabi of North Little Rock; a son, Richard Hall of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Grover W. Hughes of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Nov. 5 at First United Methodist Church, North Little Rock, with entombment in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Little Rock. Huson Funeral Home was in charge.

Jesse R. Rich
Jesse R. Rich of Sherwood died Oct. 30, 2003 at the age of 77.
He attended First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. He received the Fundamentals of Banking, Economics, Commercial Law, Accounting, Effective Letters, Business and Banking, Negotiable Instruments. He worked McGehee Bank, as vice president from 1952-1962, First State Bank of Gould, as executive vice president from 1963-1967, First State Bank of Crossett as executive vice president from 1967-1970, First State Bank of Sherwood as executive vice president 3 years senior vice president for 5 years, vice president for 3 years. He was awarded the Boss of the year in 1981 from the ABWA Crystal Chapter. He also belonged to the Commander American Legion of McGehee, president of the Kiwanis Club of McGehee, also president of the Lions Club of Gould.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Rich; one daughter, Jimmie Sue Begin; one brother, Robert Rich; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was Nov. 3, at the first United Methodist Church in North Little Rock with burial in Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park.
T. (Jack) Branum
Thomas “Jack” Branum, 64, of Austin died Nov. 20, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and a half sister. He is survived by his wife, Janet Branum; 2 daughters, Deanna Michele Seeley and husband Mitch of LA and Tommi Rene Harris and husband Patrick of TX; 1 brother, Barney Branum of MO; 3 sisters, Bonnie Brannon of Mt. Home, Lydia Williams of MO and Brenda Floyd of Cabot; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Harlene Doss, 61, of Maumelle died Nov. 20, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Doss; three children, Julie Gray of Sherwood, Rev. Luke Conway of Kingsport, Tenn., and Ronnie Doss of Maumelle; two sisters, Betty Divita of Sherwood and Judy Wilson of North Little Rock; and six grandchildren.

Edward K. Campbell
Edward K. Campbell, age 82, of Sherwood, died Nov. 24, 2003. He retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad after 41 years and was a union representative for UTU #656, a member of Lafayette Masonic Lodge, and a member of Gardner Memorial Methodist Church.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Louise; son Chuck Campbell.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 in the chapel of Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Meeks officiating. Interment followed at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Lonnie E. (Dick) Cole, Jr., 79, of Cabot went to be with Jesus November 22, 2003. He was a loving husband, dad, grand-dad and great grand-dad, but most of all he was a great friend. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, the late Arizona (Cole) Crace and Lonnie E. Cole, Sr., and one sister, Nina Widner. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 61 years, Elsie (Goforth) Cole; 2 sons, Harold Cole (and Charlotte) of Sherwood, and Jerry Cole (and Susan) of Cabot; 1 daughter, Robin Standridge (and Jerry) of Cabot; 5 grandchildren, Annette Krebs, Harold E. Cole, Kelle Cole, Derek and Justin Standrige; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Jesse Castro of OR, Mary Jones Green of Maumelle AR, Noma Serdin of CA, Virginia Gonzales of Cabot, AR; 1 brother, Grover Cole of Little Rock AR.

Sue DeBord Anderson of North Little Rock, formerly of Belleville, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003. She worked at Halt’s and HyHo restaurants in Belleville for several years.
She is survived by her sister, “Dot,” of Hilliard, Ohio; two half brothers, Jimmy and Gary DeBord of Knoxville, Tenn.; five daughters, Reva Revenburgh of Sherwood, Rita Marshall of Knoxville, Tenn., Ruth Messer and Rhonda Bersett of North Little Rock, Regina Beaudrot of Charleston, S.C.; three sons, Richard Bersett and Ronald Bersett of Belleville, Ill., and Russell Bersett; two stepchildren, Donald Anderson and Dorothy Putnam; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Nov. 23, at Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, and will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Metro-East Christian Fellowship in O’Fallon, Ill.
Charles R. Cameron
Charles R. Cameron, 76, of Parkers Chapel died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003. Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Sarah Pickering Cameron; two sons, Barry Cameron of Parkers Chapel, Andy Cameron of Cabot; three daughters, Cathy Cameron of Sherwood, Anita Cameron of North Little Rock, and Beth Weldon of Parkers Chapel; nine grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters. He was a Navy veteran, operated Cameron’s Radiator Shop in El Dorado, Cameron’s Grocery in Parkers Chapel and retired from Ethyl Corporation in 1989.
