Elmer Hess
Elmer Hess, 54, of Sherwood, died Oct. 22, 2005.
He served in the United States Air Force, and was avid deep sea fisherman. He was recently retired from Herbalife International in Los Angeles and formerly from Maybelline cosmetics in North Little Rock.
He is survived by his wife, Gale; son, Robie Hess and daughter, Gretchen Hess, both of Bellville, IL; parents, Elmer and Lucille Hess of Plant City, FL; sisters, Clara Miller of Coloma, WI, and Josie Workley of Plant City, FL, and a host of grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Oct. 25, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel.

Robert L. Smith
Robert L. (Bud) Smith, 84, of Clover Bend, died July 20, 2004, at the Harris Hospital in Newport, following a lengthy illness.
Born March 19, 1920, at Swifton, he was the son of Arthur and Sarah Abigail (Sallie) Watts Smith. He was a World War II Army veteran, a farmer and a member of the Hoxie Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Owens, Muriel Fowler, Raye Hendrix and Ruth Schmidt; and a brother, Noel D. Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Vada Ruth Ballard Smith, whom he married
Sept. 1, 1956; a daughter, Laura Denise Smith Graham, Clover Bend; a brother, Neil Smith, Alexander City, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Beth Graham and Josh Graham.
Funeral was Friday at 10 a.m. in Bryan Chapel with Revs. Donald Lewert and Donnie Hudson officiating. Burial was in Strangers Home cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Wilson Alls, Larry Jones, Stan Jones, Clayton Graham, Richard Tinker and Scott Fowler. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Guilford Dudley, Wilford Taylor, Bobby Watson, Eudoris Fielder and Harris Gilliam.
Hazel A. DeClue
Hazel Angeline DeClue, 66, of Little Rock died March 8, 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond “Ray”; sons, Raymond, III, of Little Rock, Rodney A. of North Little Rock, and Rex F. of Little Rock; daughters, Rhonda Smithson of Sparks, NV, and Rebecca Hooten of Sherwood; six grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Leslie, Jimmy and Benny McClain; and sister, Wilma Thompson.
Funeral services were held March 14 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock with Brother Mark Troutz officiating.
Entombment was in Pinecrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Anthony DiBlasi
Anthony Michael DiBlasi, 80, of North Little Rock died March 8, 2005.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Little Rock.
He is survived by sons, Mario F. DiBlasi of New Orleans, LA, and Francis DiBlasi of Sherwood; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Raymond Wilson
Raymond Dale Wilson, 86, of Sherwood, died March 8, 2005.
He was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held March 11, with Dr. Kurt Boggan officiating.
Interment followed at the Concord cemetery in Lonoke County.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Valley United Methodist Church, Paralyzed Veterans of America, or the Sherwood Animal Center.
Nadine Oden
Nadine Oden, 84, of Little Rock, died March 13, 2005.
She was retired from Foot Roots Hospital after 32 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Amity.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Magee of Little Rock, and Syble Jackson of Sherwood; son James E. Oden of Cabot; sisters, Edna Yancey of White Cloud, MI, Helen Davis of Maui, HI, and Jean Fenton of Monticello; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 16 at Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Rest Hills cemetery.
Curtis Thomas, Jr.
Curtis (Rabbitt) Thomas, Jr., 57 of North Little Rock, died March 11, 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Charotte Thomas; daughter, Anita of TX; sons, Shelby Curtis Thomas of Sherwood, Damon Thomas of Jacksonville; sister, Betty Ready of North Little Rock; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 17 at First Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Tracy Linn Mullins
Tracy Linn Mullins, 27, of Sherwood, died March 12, 2005.
She is survived by her twins, Alston Cole and Trinity Haven Faughn; mother and stepfather, Jeanette and Lucky Cranford; father, Larry Mullins; half-brother, Chad; half-sister, Contessa; grandmother, Helen Rhoda; and grandparents, Linvel Henry and Violet Vernice Cranford.
Funeral services were held March 17 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.
Interment was in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Emma Lucas
Emma Lucille Babcock Lucas, 88, of Cabot, died March 14, 2005.
She was a retired soil conservation service employee.
Her survivors include her son, Michael Lucas of Cabot; daughters, Pamela McNeely of DeSoto, MO, Barbara Brown of Sherwood, and Patricia Hill of Benton; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 16 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. A graveside service followed at Graceland cemetery in Pine Bluff.
Margaret E. Ellis
Margaret E. Ellis, 61, of Sherwood, died March 12, 2005.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. Ellis; three children, James and Lonnie Rodrigue and Bobby J. Ellis, Jr.; one sister; one brother; seven grandchildren.
Funeral service was March 14 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, with Dr. Marty Watson officiating. Burial followed at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Jesse Tompkins
Jesse Tompkins, 94, of Hoxie, died July 24, 2004, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.
Born Aug. 8, 1909, in Post Oak in Jackson County, he was the son of Ruben and Melissa Cagle Tompkins. He was a former employee of Higginbotham Funeral Service and was a member of Hazel Street First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Dickerson Tompkins, on Jan. 23, 1999, whom he married
Oct. 16, 1937, in Jackson County; and a brother, Jim Tompkins.
Survivors include two daughters, Ethel Tompkins, Hoxie, and Viola Russell, Wichita, Kan.; a granddaughter, Melissa Magee; and a great-granddaughter.
Graveside service is today at 11 a.m. at Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas with Rev. Ray Scales officiating.
Paul McMillan
Paul McMillan, 85, of North Little Rock, died Dec. 6, 2005.
He is survived by his daughters, Vicki Imhoff of Sherwood and Phyllis Hamilton of Conway; son, Larry McMillan of Conway; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Inpatient Center, 2200 South Bowman Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Mt. Carmel cemetery in Cabot.

Dorothy Brown
Dorothy Hood Brown, 59, of Sherwood, died Dec. 6, 2005.
She served as a court reporter in Pulaski County for many years.
Survivors include her daughters, Melinda Wilkerson of Little Rock, Lou Ann Hand and Kimberly Lowery both of Sherwood; sister, Sue Pruett of Little Rock; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Dec. 10 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock.
Graveside services were held at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
