Thomas M. Dixon

Thomas Marion Dixon, age 62, died April 18, 2005.
He is survived by two sons, George Dixon of Lonoke and David Dixon of Jacksonville; two daughters, Lisa Dixon of Little Rock and Tina Allen of North Little Rock; one brother, Jerry Dixon of Sherwood; a sister, Brenda Arledge of Searcy and three grandchildren.

Memorial services were Sunday, April 24 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Wanda Louise Soule

Wanda Louise Soule, 78, of North Little Rock, died April 20, 2005.
She was a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. She was inducted the Arkansas State Bowling Hall of Fame.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis “Buck” Soule of North Little Rock; son, William Earl Soule of West Chester, PA; two grandchildren; sister, Nadine Jordan of Cheyenne, WY; and brother, Dwight Evans of Wright.

Memorials may be made to The Wanda Soule Junior Bowling Scholarship Fund.
Funeral services were held April 25 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Little Rock National cemetery.

Thomas Knowlton

Thomas Eugene Knowlton, 56, of Benton, died April 19, 2005.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda Watt of Little Rock, and Mary Dierks of Adamsville, TN; and brother, Ed Knowlton of Sherwood.

Funeral services were held April 23 at Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church in Benton. Interment followed in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Children’s Lunch Program.

Marilyn E. Rose

Marilyn Elizabeth Rose, 52, died April 18, 2005.
She graduated from Ole Main High School in 1970 and retired from AT&T in 1993.

Her survivors include her husband, Oscar Rose Jr.; daughters, Shana Nicole Rose and Britinny Elizabeth Rose, both of Little Rock; mother, Virgie Golden of North Little Rock; brothers, Jimmy Lewis of Chicago, IL, Willie Golden Jr. of Sherwood, and Anthony Golden Sr. of Jacksonville; sister, Andrea Cade of North Little Rock; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service was scheduled for April 23 at Bethel A.M.E. Church in North Little Rock.

Orba Burton

Orba Burton, 94, of Beebe, died April 21, 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Jones of Sherwood; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 23, 2005, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with burial in Marcus Hill cemetery in Enola.

Wanda L. White

Wanda L. White, 87, of North Little Rock, died April 24, 2005.
She attended the Parkview Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar H. White of North Little Rock; daughters, Shirley Fetherolf of Salisbury, NC, Ruth Marie Conklin of West Palm Beach, FL, Mary Etta Peterson of North Little Rock, and Nancy Turley of Sheridan; sons, Tommy White of Sherwood, George White of North Little Rock, and Michael White of Sherwood; brother, Doyle H. Jolly of Greenbrier; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 27 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial following at McNew cemetery in Greenbrier.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Little Rock.

Randy Barber

Randy Barber, 48, of Mena, died April 23, 2005.
He was a safety manager with Arkansas One Call in Conway.

He is survived by his parents, Vivian and Thell Barber and brother, Mike Barker, all of Mena; sister, Teresa Smith of Sherwood; stepson Jeremy White of Conway.
Funeral services were held April 26, at the Dallas Avenue Baptist Church in Mena. Interment followed at Board Camp cemetery.

Bonnie Lou Sifford
Bonnie Lou Sifford, 66, of Pocahontas died July 24, 2004, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born at O'Kean, she had worked for Cinch.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Todd Gates; her stepson, Tony Sifford; and a brother.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon Sifford; a son, Rick Gates, Pocahontas; a daughter, Robin Stayton, Pocahontas; a stepson, Terry Sifford, Sullivan, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Sharon Hoelsher, Bourbon, Mo.; a brother, John Like of Rockford, Ill.; four sisters, Verna Clements, St. Louis, LaVaughn Moore, Arnold, Mo., Laveta Bell, Coldwater, Mich., and Ann Rooker, Delaplaine; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral was Monday at 10 a.m. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, with Gerald Fears officiating. Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens at Paragould.

Pallbearers were Joel Carver, Theodore Parten, Warren Matthews, Charlie Cox, Dean Turner and Joe DeClerk. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Broadway and Dall Murray.

Tyler Creamean

Spc. Tyler Loren Creamean, 21, died May 22, 2005. Killed in active duty while serving in Iraq.

Services will be held Thurs., May 26, 2005, at 7 p.m., at First Christian Church of Sherwood, 2803 E. Kiehl Ave.

Alford Troy McVay

Alford Troy McVay, age 62, died May 24, 2005. He is at peace after bravely struggling for so long. His love will endure with his legacy of family and friends. He was a member of Palm Street Church of Christ, Lonoke.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Harvey Eugene and Mildred Jennings McVay. Survivors include one son, Jason McVay of Lonoke; a daughter, Tonya McVay of Dallas, Texas; brothers and sisters, Margaret Boyd and husband Virgil of Lonoke, Herbert McVay and wife Eileen of Malvern, Violet Sexton of Austin, James McVay and wife Marilyn of Florida, Bobby McVay and wife Virgene of Illinois and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 3:30 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara Helene Tubbs

Clara Helene Kellogg Tubbs, 89, of Jacksonville, formerly of Ovid, MI, died May 22, 2005.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville for many years and an active volunteer at the Rebsamen Regional Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Survivors include her sons, Norman Tubbs of Burnsville, MN, and Dan Tubbs of Sherwood; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Wed., May 25, 2005 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carol Goddard officiating. Interment was in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Pathfinder Inc. or Rebsamen Hospital Auxiliary, both in Jacksonville.

Audrey C. Rickard

Audrey Carolyn Rickard, infant daughter of Chuck and Michelle Rickard of Sherwood, died May 20, 2005.
Also surviving her are grandparents, Bill and June Rickard of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Patsy Fuller of Conway.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 27, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Heaven’s Loft, c/o Junior League of North Little Rock, P.O. Box 9043, North Little Rock, Ark. 72119.

Lois G. Zachariason

Lois Grace Zachariason, 90, of Sherwood died May 25, 2005.
She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Robert Zachariason; son, John Zachariason of Sherwood; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 9 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Camp Aldersgate Inc. 2000 Aldersgate Rd, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.

Anna Elizabeth Skimahorn
Anna Elizabeth Skimahorn, 56, of Paragould, died July 24, 2004, at her home.

Born March 19, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, she was employed as a respiratory therapist with White River Medical Center in Batesville and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Skimahorn Jr., in 1993, whom she married June 3, 1967, in Walnut Ridge; her parents, Charley and Virginia Martin; a son, Louie Tom Skimahorn; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Sonya Sparks, Paragould, and Amanda Martin, Marmaduke; three sisters, Mary Million, Oklahoma, and Betty Fielden and Lisa Looney, both of Pocahontas; two brothers, Larry Martin, Paragould, and Mark Martin, Benton; and three grandchildren, Emilee Martin, Rachel Martin and Gracie Sparks.

Funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. at Higginbotham Chapel with Charles Stoddard and Melvin Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Watson, Cody Looney, Seth Looney, Bruce Million, Rick Milburn and Jamie Martin.

Visitation is tonight from from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Glenn Earl Gramling

Glenn Earl Gramling, 74, of Paragould, died Oct. 22, 2005.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the former Stanford United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mick Gramling of the home; sons Richard Gramling of Batesville, Scott and Kelly Gramling of Paragould; brother, Jerry Gramling of Sherwood; sisters, Joy Powers and Judy Rowland of Stanford; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 24 at Heath Colonial Chapel. Burial followed in Greene County Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Texarkana Baptist Orphanage, P.O. Box 611, Texarkana, Ark., 75504.
