Brian Mosley
WALDRON — Brian “Moss” Mosley, 20, of Waldron died Monday, March 14, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with burial at Square Rock cemetery in Waldron under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Missy and Ronnie Carpenter of Waldron; his father, Sammy Mosley of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Bridget Mosley of Waldron; a brother, Bryce Carpenter of Waldron; a stepsister, Amber McEntire of Abbott; a stepbrother, Cody Mosley of Anchorage; maternal grandparents, Norma and Leslie McKay of Sandown, Texas; paternal grandparents, Dorthy and Paul Wagoner of Las Crusis, N.M.; stepgrandparents, Walter and Joann Carpenter of Waldron; and maternal great-grandmother Etoy Mitchell of Levelland, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Omar Gonzales, J.D. Woodcock, Adlfo Silva, Moe Shores, Sean Kearney and Brandon Chesnut.

Don H. Hamilton
Don H. Hamilton, 71, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, March 18, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Ulysess, N.B. Being of the Christian faith, Don was also a member of Rising Sun Lodge No. 8 of Fort Scott, Kan., for 47 years, and he was a Mason. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and bird watching.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2005, in the Woodlawn Chapel. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 52 years, Karen Hamilton of the home. Don was a loving father of two sons, Richard Hamilton and wife Leah of Fort Smith and Ed Hamilton and wife Kathy of Fort Smith; daughter, Jolene Whittington and husband Ed of Greenwood; brother, C.J. Hamilton of Kansas; nine grandchildren, Nicki Carey and husband Chris, Zach Farr, Lexi Whittington, Cody Hamilton, Colt Hamilton, Cole Hamilton, Jason Hamilton, Jacob Hamilton and Joshua Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Kilyn, Lola, Cooper and Tula.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty J. Jasper
Betty J. Jasper, 84, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Little Rock. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Northside High School and a member of First Lutheran Church in Fort Smith. Betty loved to spend time with her family, putter around her yard and had a deep love for animals. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Jasper.
Services for Mrs. Jasper will be Monday, March 21 at noon at First Lutheran Church in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina Jasper Emerson and her husband Thomas of Vilonia; one son, Robert Allen Jasper of Fort Smith; two granddaughters, Nicole Kutas and Nadia Cole and her husband Geoff of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church, 419 N. 12th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Donny Ray Rogers Sr.
Donny Ray Rogers Sr., 60, of Ozark died Friday, March 11, 2005, in Ozark. He was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Bowles to Wilburn Jim Rogers and Sarah Jane (Scott). He was a U.S. Army veteran with 18 years of service, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Ozark Masonic Lodge No. 79, a member of the Disciples of Christ First Christian Church of Ozark.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rogers of the home; a son, Donny Ray Rogers Jr. and wife Danelle of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Zoe and Ian Rogers of Fort Smith; three stepsons, Kent Rudolph of Lewisville, Texas, Scott Rudolph of Ozark and Kale Rudolph of Ozark; four sisters, Thelma Hall of Bowles, Bonnie Smelly of Longview, Texas, Mary Kennamer of Needmore and Ruth Korbell of Dyer; one brother, J.T. Rogers of Y City; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pauline Overton
Pauline Overton, 94, of McAuley Convent in Barling died Thursday, March 17, 2005 in Barling. Pauline was born April 23, 1910 in North Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Overton; and her parents, Stanley and Blanche Zarnoski. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School in North Little Rock and Mt. St. Mary’s High School in Little Rock. She was a homemaker.
Rosary will be 10 a.m. March 21 at McAuley Convent; funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. at McAuley Convent with burial at Calvary cemetery in Little Rock under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She is survived by one son, John Overton of Sun City, Calif.; and two sisters, Francis and Sister Jovita Zarnoski of Barling.

Freddie G. Jones
Freddie G. Jones, 60, of Lavaca died Thursday, March 17, 2005. He is preceded in death by his late parents, Ernest B. and Sadie Cupp Jones; and six sisters, Grace McCrary, Ernestine McCollum, Birdie Green, Molly Jones, Ada Sipes, Sadie Meyer; and a brother, Ernest B. Jones Jr.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Lavaca Baptist Church with burial at the Earl Ladd cemetery in Danville under the direction of Roller Funeral Home, Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Carolene D. Jones of the home; his children, Freddie G. Jones Jr. and Sherri Jones of Birta, Johnny and Nancy Jones of Danville, Teresa Cody of Ola, Pattie and Karl Bernens of Bixby, Okla., Tammie and Eddy Garvin of Stewart, Okla., Lee and Mike Barber of Lavaca and Becca and Justin Scott of Sherwood; three sisters, Lucille James of Danville, Ruthie and Jake James of Danville and Rosa White of Dardanelle; a brother, Paul Jones of Havana; one special brother-in-law, Clyde Green of Havana; 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Russell and bud Roger, Mike Sprayberry, Joe Smithson, Jack Stuart, Rayburn Green.
Honorary pallbearers: Lavaca Sunday school class.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lavaca Baptist Church.

Lemuel Landrum
Lemuel Marion Landrum, 82, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was retired from Belle Point Beverages and a member of Evangel Temple.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.

James Brown
James “Buster” Brown, 86, of Van Buren died Thursday, March 17, 2005, in a local nursing home. He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Arkansas School for the Deaf.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Sarah Grove cemetery in Cedarville.
She is survived by three sisters, Dora Hodges and Ellen Stringer, both of Van Buren, and Lois Webb of Campbell, Calif.; and one brother, Gene Brown of Joplin, Mo.
Pallbearers will be Michael and Roger Higgins, Bud, Robby and Jeff Sisk, and Mitchell Brown.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Evalena Steele
WALDRON — Evalena Steele, 85, of Waldron died Friday, March 18, 2005, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hon cemetery in Hon under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by one brother, John Dewayne of El Reno, Okla.
The body may be viewed from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The Rev. Hubert Moore
The Rev. Hubert R. Moore, 73, of Van Buren died Friday, March 18, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a minister, a member of Old Time Country Church and worked for the Federation of the Blind through the Fort Smith Police Department.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fairview cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; four daughters, Dana Melton and Cathy Huddleston, both of Mulberry, Vonda Henderson of Muskogee, Okla., and Teresa Moore of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one son, David Kirby of Van Buren; two sisters, Goldie Rainwater of Palmdale, Calif., and Opal Boston of Fort Smith; two brothers, Alvis Moore of Kensett and J.D. Moore of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Giacopazzi
CEDARVILLE — John A. Giacopazzi, 89, of Cedarville died Saturday, March 19, 2005, in a local hospital. He was retired from Plywood Mill and was a Catholic.
No services are planned; the body will be cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters, Rose Worthey of Cedarville and Marie Bradley of San Lorenzo, Calif.; one son, Tom Keller of Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Velma Jacobs
Velma “Jeri” Jacobs, 93, of Fort Smith died Friday, March 18, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and charter member of Southside Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by a daughter, Velma Gibson of Muldrow; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Nancy Summers
Nancy Liotta Summers, 90, of Fort Smith died Saturday, March 19, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Summers of Barling; one son, Richard Summers of Barling; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Jack Odell
MENA — Jack Leroy Odell, 87, of Mena died Friday, March 18, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1918 in Mt. Morris, Mich. He was a self-employed construction worker, a Protestant and the maintenance man at the Board Camp Fire Department.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Hall Funeral Home Service of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Dobson; his two sons, Jack Odell II and James Odell; two daughters, Karen Porter and Sandra Mishler; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
