HACKETT — Ethan Ray Shelby, 2, of Hackett died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in Hackett.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenwood with burial at Pilot Prairie cemetery in Waldron under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his parents, Steven and Heather Shelby of Hackett; three sisters, Brooklynn Moir, Makaylia and Alysia Shelby, all of the home; a brother, Gavin Allen of the home; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Willa Shelby of Grove, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Gary and Victoria Ramsey of Van Buren; and maternal great-grandmother, JoAnn Jones of Waldron.
Pallbearers will be Alex and Charley Patton, James Lewis, David Shores and Don Pollock.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Herbert Bourland
CENTRAL, S.C. — Herbert O. Bourland, 74, of Central, formerly of Mulberry, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Central. He attended Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville. He was retired from the Air Force serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was retired from the post office in Las Vegas. He was the widow of Ella Bourland.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at New cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Dickerson of Clemson, S.C.
Mildred Bramlett
Mildred Kathleen Bramlett, 86, of Fort Smith died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was born May 28, 1918, in Charleston. She was a retired employee of Banner Accounts, a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and the widow of Carl Bramlett.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a son, Ronnie Bramlett of Cedarville; a sister, Louise Jones of Fort Smith; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Miles Shopfner, Jerry Eubanks, Eddie Bernard, Leon Taylor, Harold Blaylock and Pat Muncy.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wayne Woodey
GREENWOOD — Wayne Edward Woodey, 63, of Greenwood died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in his home. He was a retired oil field worker, a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Harris-Hannah VFW Post No. 6527.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Malinda Barbour of Odessa, Texas; a son, Russell Woodey of Greenwood; and five grandchildren.
Melody Medley
RISON — Melody Medley, 91, of Rison died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Fordyce. She was born March 26, 1913, in Lyndon, Ill. She became a registered nurse in 1940 and received her nurse practitioner license after returning to college at age 68. She served as director of nursing at Cleveland County Hospital where she was leader of the first Candy Stripers. She worked at Dallas County Nursing Home and Cleveland County Nursing Home, and retired at 89. She was honored in 2003 by the Arkansas State Nursing Association, was active with the American Red Cross blood drives, and served on the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council for several years. She was a Slivered Haired Legislature representative, a pageant contestant, a nuclear waste dump activist and taught first aid to the local Boy Scouts. She was a member of the Protestant Friends & Society and the Rison United Methodist Church, where she was a leader of the Missionary Guild, a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and member of the church board. She was the widow of Larry Medley.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with burial at Greenwood cemetery,
She is survived by a daughter, Michele Ivers of Rison; a son, state Rep. Jim Medley of Fort Smith; a foster daughter, Donna Kelly of Grandview Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Allen Haymond, Sam Harris, Jim Attwood, Jerry Spakes, Mike Edwards and Jay England.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bennie Blanscet
ALTUS — Bennie D. Blanscet, 76, of Altus died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, in Altus. He was born April 14, 1928, in McCamry, Texas. He was a retired chemical operator for Diamond Shamrock for 35 years, a 32nd degree Mason in Deer Park (Texas) Lodge No. 1362, was a ham operator, built and repaired radios, and was an aviator.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Blanscet cemetery in Altus under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Billie; three daughters, Sue Troxell of Baytown, Texas, Linda Napier of Tulsa, and Sabrina Ehrlich of Brookville, Ohio; two sons, Robert Blanscet of Ozark and Derrel Blanscet of Cove, Texas; three brothers. Jerry Blanscet of Dayton, Texas, Lawrence Blanscet of Crosby, Texas, and Joel Blanscet of Sultan, Wash.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Timothy Sytsma
ALMA — Timothy Ross Sytsma, 47, of Alma, formerly of Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1957, in Oakaloosa, Iowa. He was a member of Van Buren First Baptist Church and a former employee of the Pella Corp.
Memorial service will be in Iowa at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Josh and Jordan Sytsma, both of Iowa; his parents, Forest and Verna Sytsma of Iowa; three sisters, Sharon Wolver, Dianne Eveland and Yvonne Maur, all of Iowa; two brothers, Duane and Lonnie Sytsma, both of Iowa.
Don Haaser
Don Haaser, 75, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in Branson, Mo. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, a Navy veteran and a retired independent mail contractor for the U.S. Postal Service.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife Jackie; three daughters, Donna Smith of Barling, Karen Curnel of St. Louis and Lisa Klingner of Branson; two sons, Steve and David Haaser, both of Fort Smith; four brothers, Dick Haaser of Little Rock, Jack Haaser of Barling, George Haaser of Montana and Jim Haaser of Fort Smith; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Keith Perrenoud, Jeff Ledbetter, Joel and Alan Haaser, Tony Smith, Bobby Gray, Zack Curnel and Austin Klingner.
Georgia Louise Jordan
Georgia Louise Jordan went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 28, 2005. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking for her family. She was a member of Plainview Assembly of God and was devoted to praying for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, David Jordan; a sister, Alma Harris; and a grandson, Robert Jordan.
She is survived by three daughters, Alma King, Patsy Jordan and Deborah Small; a son, Roger Jordan; and one sister, Margie Harris. She had six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jordan, David King, Jared Small, Mark Kattich, Anthony Self and Josh Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Harris, John Harris, Jerry Harris and Johnson Ross. Services will be held today at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.
Laura Bolin Caraccia
Laura Bolin Caraccia, 30, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was an accountant for Beall Barclay. She was a board member of the Community Rescue Mission, a 1992 graduate of Lavaca High School, and a graduate of the Arkansas State University. She loved the outdoors, riding horses and loved dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Bolin. Laura was loved by all of her family and friends and will be missed very much.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, in the West Room of the River Park Complex. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Ericka Scoggins of the home; son, Peter “Seth” Caraccia of the home; mother, Billie Bolin of Lavaca; brother, Eric Bolin of Lavaca; nephew, Easton Bolin of Panama; maternal grandparents, Irma and Connie McAlvery of Eufaula, Okla.; aunts and uncles, Arvel and Sue Bolin of Fort Smith, Mary and Walter Dyer of Fort Smith, Johnny and Helen Bolin of Fort Smith, Jimmy Bolin of Bokoshe, Nathan Bolin of Lavaca, Misty Bolin of Fayetteville, Eloise and Nick Degiacomo of McAlester, Larry Gibson of Tulsa and Cynthia Phelan of Van Buren, and Mike and Jeri Cox of Arkoma; numerous cousins as well as her close friends, Buffy Bonds, Janna Hunter and Amy Brewer.
Laura was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. God bless you, for standing firm for your principles, and rising up against those who attempted to oppress you, regardless of the consequences. We all know the truth and find peace and comfort in your love, strength, and unwavering courage. We love you and know you will be with us, forever!

Josephine Flippen
Josephine Flippen, 75, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the former owner of Becky’s Sandwich Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Paul Flippen.
Rosary service will be 7 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by six daughters, Paula Wallace and Becky Ibison, both of Fort Smith, Cindy Warren of Uniontown, Jerri Chronister of Greenwood, Frances Parham of Heavener, and Lilly Carlson of Carthage, Mo.; two sons, Danny Flippen of Fort Smith and John Flippen of Bonita, Calif.; two brothers, W.R. Douglas of Fort Smith and Hoyt Douglas of Ventura, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Dr. James D. Harbison
Dr. James D. Harbison, 68, of Booneville passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in Paris. He was a past member of the American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society, life member of the National Rifle Association, member of the American Association on Mental Retardation, and charter member of the Golden Eagles of the National Rifle Association.
He was a practicing physician for 27 years, with the last 21 years as the medical director of the Booneville Human Development Center. He was an avid hunter, shooter and outdoorsman.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Booneville with burial at Mixon cemetery near Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Harbison of the home; sons, James Harbison Jr. and wife Stacy of Booneville, John Harbison of Booneville, Tim Robbins and his wife Kathleen of Ohio, Danny and Kelly Robbins of Booneville, Mike Robbins and his wife Lava Robbins of Junction City; Jean Harbison, mother of James and John Harbison; grandchildren, Trent, Joe, Noah, Cameron Shae, Will and Eden; and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Jack Edwards, Rick Libby, Chris Mathews, Rick Hudson, Richard Courson and Tony Zornes. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lingle and William Garner.

Kenneth Ray Crowley III, infant son of Kenneth and Serenity Crowley Jr. of Alma, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in his home.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Gracelawn cemetery Arbor with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, James and Carrie Robertson of Alma, Virginia French of Alma, and Richard and Tressa Blake of Fort Smith; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jannette Crowley Sr. of Tulsa, Cynthie and Wayne Brooks of Kentucky; great-grandfather, Sidney Miller of Mena; great-grandmother, Margie Crowley of Kentucky; godfather, David Dodson of Fort Smith; and godmother, Nancy Lane of Alma; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

William Perry
CLARKSVILLE — William Earl Perry, 47, of Clarksville died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 1, 1957, in Little Rock. He was a 1975 graduate of Clarksville High School, was employed by Greenville Tube Corp. in Clarksville for 29 years and was a Little League baseball coach for several years.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Joshua Perry of Clarksville; his mother, Osa Perry of Clarksville; two sisters, Karen Perry of Alma and Rhonda Greene of De Ridder, La.; and a brother, Ronald Perry of Fort Smith.
