Tillie Werner Forst, 84, of Subiaco died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in Fort Smith of natural causes. She was a homemaker and member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco, Mother’s Society, Catholic Women’s Union and Catholic Knights of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Katie Werner and husband, Jude Forst; and one sister, Stella Bender.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. today, St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco with burial at St. Benedict cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris (rollerfuneralhomes.com).
She is survived by three sons, Bill and Lorene Forst of Paris, Larry Forst of Euless, Texas, and Gerald and Barbara Forst of Paris; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Jack Soller of Ratcliff, Susan and Jake Parker of Naples, Texas, Sarah and Bill Davis of Hope and Loretta and Mike Dunn of Van Buren; two sisters, Helen Kremer of Barling and Mildred Furstenburg of Paris; 10 grandchildren, Eric, Chris and Kyle Soller, Jeremy, Kristen and Katrina Forst, Jeff Forst, Matthew and Aaron Davis and Lindsey Parker; and one great-grandchild, Caleb Soller.

J.T. Young
J.T. Young, 80, lifelong resident of Rudy, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and a Pentecost.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mount McCurry cemetery in Rudy.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle of the home; three sons, Johnny Ray Young and Darrell Young of Alma, and Terry Young of Fort Smith; two sisters, Billie Smith of Alma and Goldie Burkhart of Rudy; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Jones, Bert and Basil Kenner, Edwin and Donnie Watson and Bill Rogers.
Nancy M. Hefner
Nancy M. Hefner, 81, of Little Rock died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. She was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, was active in Chapter J of P.E.O. and very active in Delta Gamma Alumni and the Wednesday Bridge Club.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Hefner; a daughter, Carlee Wellons of Little Rock; a son, Mike Hefner (Diane) of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Kimber Keating (Matthew) of Woodberry Forest, Va., Amber Hawkins (William) of Fort Smith, Melina Campbell of North Little Rock, Laura Shook (John) of Little Rock, Aaron Hefner (Lindsay) of Canada, Marcie Hefner and Ben Hefner, both of Little Rock.

Lowell L. Smith
Lowell L. Smith, 85, of Van Buren died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in his home. He retired from Carco International as a mechanic after 46 years. He was a member and taught Sunday school at Kibler Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Peachtree Hospice.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with a private committal at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; two daughters, Helen Penny of Van Buren and Betty Gunn of Kibler; one son, Ralph Smith of Kibler; one sister, Valine Nayfa of Dallas; one brother, Coy Smith of Chrisney, Ind.; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita Hibbard Carver Stanley
Juanita Hibbard Carver Stanley, 89, of Uniontown died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1915, in St. Paul and retired as a nurse after 25 years of service in Woodland, Calif. She was a member of First Christian Church in Uniontown, the Gold Star Wives of America, the DAV Auxiliary and the E.H.C. Club of Uniontown. She was a former board member of the Area Agency on Aging and a former board member of the Crawford County Senior Citizens. She served as a Democratic Committee person for over 20 years and was a R.S.V.P. volunteer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Curly” Stanley; and her parents, Joe and Meada Hibbard.
Funeral service will be noon today at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Forest Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a son, Audley Joe Carver and wife, Sally of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Imogene Chomor of Bay Point, Calif., Audra Denny of Chouteau, Okla., and Glenda Flippin of Uniontown; grandsons, Timothy and Bradley Carver, both of Irving, Texas; three granddaughters, Lezlie Maestri and Christy Roe, both of Fort Smith, and Catherine Carver of Irving, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Aaron Willis, Taylor Wills and Victoria Roe, all of Fort Smith; and several cousins.
Pallbearers: Timothy Carver, Bradley Carver, Aaron Willis, Taylor Willis, Aaron Roe and Eddie Maestri. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Flippin, Jimmy Willis, Daniel Denny, Robert Keeter, William Abner and Home Marshall.
Elizabeth A. Quick
Elizabeth A. Quick passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in San Pedro, Calif. Elizabeth, lovingly known as Skip, was a 50-year resident of San Pedro and was born in Hartford on June 20, 1918. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Garrett Quick; and her brothers, Bob and Johnny Patterson.
She is survived by two sons, John and Garrett “Ernie” Quick; one brother, Hugh Lowrimore of Huntington; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Lowrimore of Huntington and Ruth Patterson of San Padro, Calif.; one niece, Delores Contreras; four nephews, Fred and John D. Quick, Walter and Timmy Lowrimore; many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Faith Chapel in Hartford with interment at Hartford Memorial cemetery.

BOSSIER CITY, La. — Geraldine Lee Lynch, 78, of Bossier City, formerly of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, in Shreveport, La. She was born June 2, 1926, in Indiahoma, Okla. She was a retired receptionist for a doctor’s office and a member of Cavanaugh United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Oscar Lynch Jr.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Adams of Florence, S.C., and Meta Williamson of Haltom City, Texas; a sister, Joyce Bennett of Durant, Okla.; a brother, Gail Lee of Chickasha, Okla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

OZARK — Manuel Ewing Dicks, 79, of Ozark died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, in Ozark. He was a member of Ozark First Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired lineman for Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ozark First Baptist Church with burial at Highland cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; a daughter, Barbara Bearden of Ozark; a son, Larry Dicks of Dardanelle; a sister, Lena Comeaux of St. Martinville, La.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Dicks, Dave Jansen, Mark Weseman, Charles Parrish, Jack Hawkins and Bobby Bond.

Norma Corley
RATCLIFF — Norma Jo Corley, 74, of Ratcliff died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born May 25, 1930, in Fort Smith. She was a retired sales clerk for Baggett’s Drug Store in Paris and a sales clerk for the Leader Store in Paris. She was secretary for the Logan County Cancer Society and a member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial at Caulksville cemetery under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by her husband, John; and a son, John Earl Corley of Austin, Texas.

Reverend Arles Replogle
The Rev. Arles “Mitch” Replogle, 80, of Van Buren died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, in Van Buren. He retired as a minister of the Pentecostal Church of God after 45 years and was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Muskogee. He was the widower of Retha Replogle.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Woodlawn cemetery in Fort Smith with military honors.
He is survived by three daughters, Diann Dugan of Fort Smith, Rita Kirby of Van Buren and Becky Cook of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Hubert Replogle of Pocola and Stanley Replogle of Leander, Texas; three sisters, Merle Higgins and Mary Harvel, both of Fresno, Calif., and Margaret Hamilton of San Antonio; a brother, George Replogle of Fresno; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters.

HACKETT — Terrance Lee Tinsman, 50, of Hackett died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital.
The body was cremated. A family graveside service and burial of cremains will be in Toledo, Ill. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his parents, William and LaRheta Tinsman of Hackett; a sister, Polly Nelson of Guilford, Mo.; and four brothers, Dr. Tom Tinsman and Tim Tinsman, both of Hackett, Tony Tinsman of Hot Springs and Ted Tinsman of Springfield, Mo.

David Numan Woy, 41, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Feb. 3. 2005, in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Steephill cemetery near Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 8 a.m. to noon today.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ingram of Fort Smith; three sisters, Anna Woy of Tucson, Ariz., Sandra Woy and Tanya Christie, both of Fort Smith.
Robert Roberts
COVE — Robert “Bob” H. Roberts, 69, of Cove died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in Mena. He was born May 6, 1935, in Blocker, Okla. He was a retired Army veteran serving in the Korean War, a member of Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene where he was a board member, the D.A.V. and American Legion, a volunteer veteran worker and fireman, and a member of the Pleasant Grove cemetery committee.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene with burial at Pleasant Grove cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Sheila Roberts of Cleburne, Texas, and Stephanie Belknap of Cove; two sons, Karl Roberts and Robert Roberts Jr., both of Cove; a sister, Dorothy Arthur of Hatfield; three brothers, Tom and Tony Roberts, both of Cove, and Fred Roberts of Benton; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ALMA — Jimmy R. Medlock, 70, of Alma died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, in a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1934, in Mulberry. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a retired truck broker, a member of the DAV, a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial and full military honors at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Jimmy Medlock Jr. of California; three sisters, Freda Adams and Anna Galbert, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Naomi Medlock of Alma; three brothers, Joe Medlock of Mulberry, Jerry Medlock of Van Buren and Jerald Medlock of Altus.
Pallbearers will be Brent, Darrell, Mike, Mark, Todd, Toby and Jared Medlock, and Jerald Medlock Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
